Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. We absolutely loved the dome! It was so private and serene. Beautiful views of the sunset in the evening and deer passing by in the morning. The dome itself was clean, well designed, and well appointed (down to the airfryer and adjustable desk with a monitor!). The bed was really comfortable with no shortage of linens and the A/C was nice an powerful! It was a very short drive from Llano, close to Enchanted Rock, and just far enough from Austin to feel like a true getaway. Hands-down an amazing experience!

The setup was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a camping trip without the hassle of packing heavy gear. Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

Learn more about this land:Tom Dooley’s Hideout is located at the Gateway to the hill country, just minutes west of Dripping Springs off of hwy 290. It’s a unique 4 acre property with 5 modern tiny houses that sit on open range with free grazing livestock which occasionally show up as they do not belong to us. This tiny house comfortably sleeps 2 on a queen bed but we do have a sofa/futon thats great for kids. Enjoy sitting on the porch or at the picnic table under the trees to kick back and relax on a cool evening. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO HAVE A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM ON WEEKENDS Each tiny house has a keyless code entry system in which a personal code will be set up and sent to you prior to your check in. In the case that there is an issue with the key pad we do have a manual key so that you will always be able to access your tiny house. Pets are always allowed but we do charge $40 PER pet PER night. We do ask that you keep your pets off of the couch and the bed and clean up any “restroom breaks” outside. Also please note that we Do Not have a full kitchen only a microwave but we do have a charcoal grill under the trees in the common area. Dripping Springs offers a huge variety of fun activities and places to visit. Within a 10 to 15 minute drive you can visit countless local wineries, breweries and distilleries. There are also many amazing state parks such as Pedernales Falls, Blue Hole, Jacobs Well and Hamilton Pool that are always great to visit. Dripping Springs is also known to the wedding capital of Texas If you are in need of transportation you can always call an Uber or Lyft but if you are up for the drive, using your own personal vehicle is the best way to get around.
