Waterfront RV Port on Bolivar Peninsula. Water, sewer, and electric (20-30-50 amp panel) Covered RV spot with a screen porch. Property is fenced and dogs are welcome. The screened has a dining table with chairs, and also stores some patio chairs to use on the property. They are really great to sit on the dock! There is also a charcoal grill and a crab trap for you to use. (You need a fishing license and bait. Chicken bones works great!)
Fishing is great here... the canals have been dredged and folks are catching right of the back of their lots. Community fishing area is on the end of both Van Sant and Mabry, Mabry has a boat ramp. These you cast right off a drop to the intracoastal. Beach Access via community gate at end of street. Combination for those will be shared in arrival instructions.
Spot is a residential lot... It is 60 x 130. Canal City is a quiet residential area. The back side fronts on the water. You will probably see more seagulls and purple martins than people.
We have weekly discounts. Message me and I can go over them because the Hipcamp platform makes them difficult. It works out to approximately 7 nights for the price of 5.
Be prepared: Bolivar has mosquitoes. This is the coast. If it has rained they can be really bad. The county sprays on a regular rotation but it can be bad. They tend to swarm when you pull in. Spray helps. We also send recommendations for what sprays work best for us in the arrival instructions. We do not offer refunds for mosquitoes. We have never found them unmanageable, and the screen porch keeps them almost entirely away.
We are east of Rollover Pass. Easiest to arrive through Winnie and south on 124. Unless you are coming from Galveston or southeast Houston it is probably shorter. The ferry is fun (dolphins and such) but the waits can be long. Also: Do not bring loose propane tanks or gasoline cans on the ferry, they will send you away. (Propane on RV is fine, but that is all they allow)

Edge of the Waters was perfect for what we needed. We really enjoyed the screen porch and the property was fenced for my dogs and also made us feel more secure being behind a fence. Everything was just as it was stated on the website. The canal behind the house was enjoyable. We could see water even though we were not right on the beach.

Relaxing Canal-Side Escape –
Just got back from an amazing stay at Waters Edge, right on a canal, and wow, what a spot! If you're looking for a great location for fishing, crabbing, and just plain relaxing, this is it.
The property itself is really nice and well-kept. Plus, it's completely fenced, which was a huge bonus for us since we brought the dogs along.
The dock out back was perfect for casting a line or setting out a crab trap. And get this – there's even a public spot to fish the intercoastal within walking distance, right down the road. Talk about options!
They really thought of everything you'd need on site. All the hookups (water, electric, sewer) worked perfectly, and it was super convenient. We even had our choice of two BBQ grills. One of my favorite features was the screened-in patio area; it was awesome to sit outside and enjoy the breeze without getting eaten alive by bugs.
While they provided just about everything, you'll want to remember to bring your own fishing pole. But honestly, that's a small detail.
Our host, Tim, was super helpful and stayed in touch throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Love Love Love! It was exactly what we were looking for! It is very simple and not fancy but has everything you need! Can fish from the grass and use the dock for crabbing! Has the green lights which is a bonus for fishers and the crabbing net was great! I appreciate all the detailed instructions before arrival, made the setup easy and definitely appreciated the heads up about the mosquitos! We didn’t see any until dark and we were able to utilize the out door screened in space for dinner! The fenced yard is great, we had fur babies and it was nice to let them run around! Not many of the lots had a full fence so it was definitely a bonus! Tim was a great host and is very accommodating! We will be back very soon!

We LOVE this place!!
This was our 2nd stay & we'll continue to go back. The yard is fenced & clean our fur babies enjoy being able to run around & play and I enjoy the security of knowing they are not going to run off.
Tim is a great host from the time you check in until the time you check out.
New fishing lights were installed this time & it was great.
