RV @ Snow White Sanctuary
People nice, but BRING THE BUG SPRA
The positives: The owners were vey nice and welcoming. We were told we could pick any spot on the property that suited our needs, which was nice.
The cons.: We knew going into this that we were staying at an animal sanctuary. What we didn’t know was that all the animals are free range on the property and have full access to all the camp sites. So, while you are trying to set up all the animals are trying to help. While you are preparing your meal, and then sitting down to eat it, the dogs are there begging for food, something that my own dogs are not allowed to do at home. The very cute puppy there grabbed a bag of avocados and tried to run off with them.
The biggest con is the unprecedented amount of mosquitoes there are! We have lived in Florida all our lives and have NEVER seen that many mosquitoes! We could not enjoy the lovely evening because there were so many mosquitoes!
It was truly sad because the evening was ruined as we huddled in our tent all evening to try and mitigate the damage these mosquitoes were doing to us!

RV @ Snow White Sanctuary
Alyssa and her husband have such a beautiful place with amazing animals wandering about. If you’re a big animal lover and enjoy camping (and don’t mind the mosquitos!), this is a great little spot if you’re in the area. Our stay was quick, as we were passing through, but the kindness and hospitality of the hosts made it worth it. Grab your bug spray and check it out!

RV @ Snow White Sanctuary
If you love nature and all the animals that go with it you will be in heaven here. The goats, the horses, the dogs, pot bellied pigs, chickens, one rooster and one female cat made us feel welcomed. The owners explained to us everything we needed to know about the goats and how soap was made from their milk. At night the frogs in their pond rocked us to sleep.

Tent Camp @ Snow White Sanctuary
We had a great time at this Sanctuary! If you're an animal lover, you'll definitely love it here. I would recommend bug spray; I don't know why I didn't think of it, but I'm still suffering the consequences now. Ocean was a great host, their kids are so nice, and overall, it was a great stay. I would recommend eating at Bluebird Fish Camp: it's a 20 minute drive into Texas, but it's fantastic food, and you can look at the swamp while you eat!

Overall it was a great experience. I rented for my kids and their dad and they had a great time. I did purchase a bunch of the extras which I later learned they didn’t get. I messaged the host and requested a refund, hopefully that gets processed. I’d still reserve again, I’m sure if their dad spoke up he would have got his services, the host sounded great
