Easy to find. Electric and water worked as expected. Responsive host. Dump stations are well off site. Ended up skipping that part.
Spent this past July 4 weekend at Far East. It was peaceful, beach wasn’t crowded & the fireworks show tuat the owners of Shore Thing Camp two doors down was Beautiful along with the next 2 neighborhoods going towards Tx, popped just as many! Couldn’t see Holly Beaches fireworks show very well. But, there were so many fireworks being popped in our neighborhood & the next 2 that Holly Beach was a distant memory..LOL. But seriously, Mr. Glenn checked on us the first day to be sure we had everything we needed & were settled in. Definitely would refer any of his rental spots anytime, not just a holiday 😁

We were here for 2 nights with 17 ft camper and 2 dogs.
Everything worked great and we had a wonderful time.
Like any beachy area, there are some goathead burrs. My dogs only encounter 1 burr the whole time. They loved the beach. We had them on long ropes so they could enjoy the water.
Only warning would be to protect yourself at night from mosquitos. Turn off all lights before opening your door. Welcome to the south.
Overall, very relaxing and quiet. Enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. Would stay again. 😊
Simple, straight forward place to camp right on the ocean front. Friendly folks at the local houses/campsites. Be warned, it’s far removed from any real kind of civilization - but THAT is exactly what I look for. Great communication from the host. I would definitely stay again.

It was a great little spot to be near the Gulf breeze and sounds of the waves!
The camping areas are well maintained. Nice little path to the beach from the site.
We walked along the beach to Peveto Woods and spent time on the trails- maintained but also somewhat primitive.
It was a great stay, even though we had to leave early because a storm with high winds coming through.
Glenn was very responsive and helpful.
We recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quirky, laid-back coastal experience.

Beautiful views especially with the moon over the water at night (beach is a hop across the street) very quiet area, no crowds
Mr. Glenn came check on us to make sure we had what we needed when we arrived and he was also quick with responses during our stay. Excellent host! We will definitely return to this little slice of paradise!
Quirky, amazing spot literally steps away from the beach. Dogs loved it, and so did we! It was a perfect spot for a reset and soul cleanse.

Great views. The beaches are amazing. Has all the hook ups.
Great spot! Off the beaten path, very quiet, and literally across the street from the Gulf. We had a nice sea breeze the whole time! We didn't use the sewer hook-up, but the electricity and water worked great!
This is possibly the best place you can camp at on the beach in this country. It is peaceful and enjoyable, we felt like we were in our own little oasis. We have small children they were able to ride their scooters around the neighborhood without worry and we could watch them from our camper walk straight to the beach. We are in love with this area. We would go every weekend if it was closer to home for us. The owners are great people, friendly, helpful and informative. The camp site was extremely affordable for what is is. Go check it out if you get a chance.

Rita’s Roost - RV Space
Simple and relaxing spot on the Gulf. Was quiet and peaceful.
Know that there is a ferry that you have to take to cross a canal if you are traveling from the east and that could be an issue if you arrive late (or if the ferry is not running for some reason). This would not be an issue if you are coming from the north. It was $1 and a fun surprise, but we want to give people the heads-up.
Breathtaking views; on the drive in (from the east) and at the site. We only encountered a few other people during our stay, though it may be busier during peak season. Mosquitos were abundant our first night, but I never got bit and there was a pretty good breeze throughout our stay, so they weren’t an issue like I anticipated. Glenn stopped by during our stay to check in and was very accommodating (I didn’t realize that I needed to book the trip with at least a 24 hour notice). The site was larger than I expected and has a concrete pad next to it. There are a couple gas stations in the area that carry necessities, but I would advise stocking up on supplies before heading to the site. The owner of the closest gas station even ordered extra of items that we had inquired about in case we needed more during our stay. Very secluded area, which is exactly what we were looking for, though it may not be everyone’s cup of tea with no amenities/restaurants/tourist attractions close.
We had a great time , the site was clean and Glenn is a very good communicator he even warned us of a upcoming storm. A nice quiet place.
At the end of the earth. Across the road from high and low tide. Walk the beach for miles.
Mosquitoes at sunset. Great birding.
Great spot to stop into between TX and FL! Easy to access and great view of the ocean! Mosquitoes were out with a vengeance after the rain but we had a lovely time!

We wanted to love this stay, but unfortunately had to shorten it.
Pros:
-The view of the beach is beautiful
Cons:
-Burrs. I wouldn’t recommend this stay for dog owners. There are burrs on the site that kept getting stuck in our dogs paws and on our feet.
-Mosquitos, bring repellent!
