Wake up to a beautiful view. We have a secluded, fenced 20-acre farm with a spring-fed creek, a pond, and cozy cabins to accompany them. The property features multiple sitting areas with campfires, picnic tables, and hammocks. The large pond is perfect for a swim or for catching sizable largemouth bass, and the wooded areas make for a fun exploration experience.
There is no electricity on-site, as we prefer to keep distractions to a minimum in our all-encompassing wonderland. Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Nestled in the tall trees, your large, private site features a fire pit, picnic table, and a “Tennessee Bathroom.” Site is nearly 100% shaded all day long. The area is surprisingly quiet. Deer, turkey, turtles, frogs, and cardinals have all been seen on the property. Before you exit your tent in the morning, stay quiet and look out first - who knows what you might see. Watts Bar Lake is within a few hundred yards and a public boat ramp is just about 3 minutes down the road. Watts Bar is over 72 miles long, 722 miles of shoreline, and is known for good fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and other recreation.
This is a good base for day trips to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountain National Park.

Taylor is very quick to answer texts, everything was as described. Cute camping cabin. Porta potty was clean and not scary at all, our dogs loved the room to roam, the creek, and the pond. Site is central to the mountains and Knoxville, loads of hiking and lake access nearby, town is just minutes away with all the trappings.

I loved spending a night glamping here while breaking up a long drive. The bed was comfortable, and the tent was well-equipped with everything I needed. The short walk to the stables for the bathroom and a refreshing hot/cold shower was easy and convenient. The views were beautiful, making it an even more enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it!

1 night at Twin Valley Horse Ranch
Everything is a close walk, the creek/lake is pretty central to everything and it has plenty of fish. Although the fish seem to only bite for meat not artificial bait. Once you have meat on the hook you can see them show up in groups for it.
All the animals were friendly, or at least curious about us and gentle with our toddler.
July makes it too hot and too mosquito-ee to get out and enjoy the trails but the land was beautiful and have no cell service preventing those never ending work calls and emails was amazing as well.

The ranch was beautiful and expansive with lots of amazing animals!
The cabin was definitely roughing it. A small shack up a deep hill. Be prepared to go full on caveman for this one!

Crystal Mountain is beautiful and peaceful. There was a slightly narrow dirt road with a steep hill to reach the camping site, but we were able to bring our 27 foot fifth wheel up without issue.
Maynard was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gracious. He accepted us on short notice, made sure we had everything we needed to get set up, and came by to introduce himself the next morning. He even gave us some fresh veggies from his garden. Truly the epitome of Southern hospitality. Would happily stay again, and recommend the site.

We really liked the cabin and its rustic yet contemporary feel. However, it seems like it wasn’t intended for use during Tennessee summers where it can be 80+ degrees inside at night. There was a propane heater which I imagine would make this a really cozy place in colder months but obviously we didn’t need it for our stay. The fans & power bank that the host provides plus having the windows opened helped but it was still uncomfortable.

Camping here went well. It felt secluded and we felt safe. While we didn't speak to the owner, he gave us a friendly wave when driving by. If you're looking for somewhere just to sleep, this is your site. The only thimg that would have been nice is a bathroom since its a ways from town, but we got what we paid for and had no issues.

The directions were clear, and it was a very shady spot nestled under the trees, significant difference with some shade!
Water is available right at the the site and an outhouse just outside the site.
Was in search of nice space and the other reviews did not disappoint! Large fire ring, and firewood and kindling provided and a booklet was left with a description of what they are all about as well as some local places to visit and invitation to visit their woodwork shop and a lovely introduction to their animals.
Would definitely visit again and maybe with more time could explore more options available.
There are some ticks but I didn't find many, just use precautions. And the animal visits AT the site as it is against a fence where some visitors were loved and welcomed ( haha careful the big one can lean rather far over fence and caught me by surprise and is a nibbly greedy boy, lots of personality and attention hog but a sweet beautiful boy. LOVED the big ole donkey and he will be usually first to visit! but also as you come into the site by the firewood are some more lovely animals to appreciate so check them out too!
The host was very kind and welcoming, site was clean and as i was packing up, he had come to check on us on his way to the garden ( located outside site as you pull up) and gave some of his fresh vegetables. Very kind man and a refreshing stay, basic real camping at its best.

Low Meadow Farms is exactly as advertised. The spots are well maintained and the campground is clean. We enjoyed our stay despite hard rain. Spot 11 is muddy, so expect that. The water spigot is a ways from the road, so bringing small water cans to fill is probably what's best.

Everything was good except we got flooded out the first night there and it was so hot but it was shady there in the mornings and during the evenings but midday was awful we had to leave early we couldn't stand it at the bed wet all week long we didn't get the clothes dryer that was camping in tents and it was a disaster but we enjoy the camera with Captain before and having a really good time it's a good place to stay I would recommend it to anybody
