When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. The 48 acre campground has just 3 big tent sites for more seclusion and is almost all old forest with wide trails and huge old growth trees. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. The rest is woods. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well. FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. Please let us know ahead of time or order it on the site. SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. Sometimes the walking stones get washed out. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. SITE 2: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 fairly flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit. SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! Some photos are of nearby attractions. You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture when you expand them. VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle or ground clearance, that is okay, park in the field and bring your water shoes for campsite 2. There are stairs and usually stepping stones to cross over to Site 1. This company supports the locals and cleans up the trash on the sides of the roads; a great service to the area. Nestled on a sprawling 40 acre farm just 15 miles from downtown Nashville, this cozy cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Also near the main home is treehouse "cabin" complete with a swinging bridge. Feel free to bring fishing poles, feed and pet the animals, and gather eggs early in the morning. Tucked in the hollow of the surrounding ridges, the rustic cabin sits on the hillside with a small pond at the foot. A wide front deck with rocking chairs and a double glider overlooks the pond, offering a perfect spot to have coffee at sunrise or unwind beneath the stars. The cabin is furnished with antiques, a fluffy queen bed, and an oversized bunk above. Although the cabin is meant to be a retreat from modern electronics, it does have a cieling fan, light, TV, and outlets powered by solar panels. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Haven Cabin

We loved it! The cabin is cozy and cute! Plenty of hiking onsite and friendly dogs/cats to keep you company! Helga was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She gave great local recommendations and even had fire wood ready for us on arrival! This was great because it had rained the day prior and we had dry wood! The hiking on her property is beautiful. Plenty of rock formations and views. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

This was a camping trip I'll never forget. William was such a kind and hospitable man, his property was nothing short of breathtaking. This place was a great escape from 9-5 city life and I can't wait to return. Don't ignore other reviews about how steep the small trek up to the shack is! It's a short walk but very steep and uneven/rocky ground. Make sure you wear good shoes/boots! Rocket and Bo 🐕 we're the sweetest dogs and great company when they weren't busy chasing squirrels. I very much enjoyed the hike along an old logging road on Will's land, about 1.5 miles and took me less than an hour at a slow pace, saw deer tracks and the deer that left them about half-way through. It was such a beautiful and peaceful hike; I wish I looped back around to make longer! There were no mosquitoes or ticks to be seen but be prepared for lots of Chinese lady beetles (look like lady bugs but are very invasive and annoying!) And stink bugs, if you come in the fall or spring. The shack had bedding, an amazing wood stove, cooking/art supplies, books and much more. Again, Will was so gracious and hospital. He checked in on me by msg in the mornings, showed me around his woodworking studio and informed me about his property and animals. His artwork is truly something else, the man is a real artist and beautiful soul. I bought a cutting board and Will picked me some greens from his garden before I left. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return myself!

Weekend Trip to The Shady Grove @CaveValleyGetaway!

We stayed at Jordan's property while seeing a concert at the caverns. This camping experience was really great! We arrived in the dark, but Jordan gave great instructions to find the sites in the back of the property and left lights on near the tent so we could see to set up our stuff. Despite rain all night, we were very comfortable and dry in the tent provided. We would stay again and would recommend this site to others!

We loved the glamping cabin and the views. It matches the description well. Great place to stargaze too we spotted some meteors as well! But it was super chilly and there was just one heater so that was little hard to sleep we assumed there would be more. But in summer I think it would have been the best. We didn't get to interact with hosts a lot but they were super responsive. Would definitely recommend but come geared up.

Wow! My boyfriend and I came out to William’s land after needing a break from living in the city. I’ve never done Hipcamp before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was absolutely serene and the perfect reset. Our only regret is not staying more than one night to fully unplug. We will be back - and will pack MUCH lighter next time for the hike up the hill! Such a haven!

It was absolutely magical. My mom and my family of five with a 4, 3 and 2 year old had THE BEST time. We had plans to do things in the area and the grounds themselves were so amazing we never left once we parked. 10/10 in ALL ways. Dog friendly too.

Weekend Trip to The Shady Grove @CaveValleyGetaway!

By far one of the best camp experiences I've had! The tents provided were a huge upgrade from my small 2-person tent—spacious, clean, and super comfortable. We stayed at Site #2 with the queen beds, and it was perfect. There was shade all day, a constant breeze, and the layout of the land offered great privacy from neighbors. The inflatable mattresses included were a great touch and made the nights extra comfortable. Compared to the other campsites, I definitely prefer The Cave Valley—it’s officially on my favorites list! Jordan was a fantastic host—super responsive, welcoming, and just an all-around cool person to interact with. 🧭 Pro Tip for Future Campers: Come prepared—bring plenty of water, food, battery storage, and a basic first aid kit. The site is well set up, but being prepared makes the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back—with more friends next time!

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.
