We raise Scottish Highland cattle, goats, sheep, and alpacas on 90 acres of reclaimed coal mine land. We are using the animals and permaculture techniques to repair this land to a vibrant, productive place. I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Our new cabin will feature a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, adult size sleeping pad, and a wicker day bed that can be used as couch or bed, coffee maker, and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 7 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Coolers available if you need one. You can bring up to 2 extra tents for families looking for an out door experience . We will also have tents available for rent for families. For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, homemade breads, cookies, , and ask us about some home cooked meals! Tucked away on Sequatchie Mountain, this little campground and hostel invites you to experience some of East Tennessee's best parks for climbing and hiking. Cliffs and waterfalls are minutes away at near by Foster Falls, Denny Cove and Castle Rock.
The hostel offers 3 bedrooms, fast internet, complete kitchen, comfortable beds, smart TV, fire pit, and laundry.
The campground offers dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables, as well as clean bathrooms and a communal barn with a microwave, fridge, games, tables and chairs.
You can walk our 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff. Make sure to say "Hi" to our chickens and our barn cat, Strawberry, on the way.
Add in the view of the stars and that makes this the perfect basecamp after a long day out.

4. Our property is across the street from a scrap metal yard that opens too early.

We are a horseback riding stables located 2.5 miles outside the crown jewel of the Tennessee State Park System, Fall Creek Falls State Park. We offer a 2.5 mile guided trail ride, short-term boarding, and a petting zoo. There is a bathhouse on site which also houses a game room and laundry facilities. Howlin' Hill has the best riverfront beach access on this stretch of the gorgeous Duck River. Most of our campsites are shaded by a continuous tree canopy and each site is equipped with a fire pit. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Our new cabin will feature a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, adult size sleeping pad, and a wicker day bed that can be used as couch or bed, coffee maker, and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 7 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Coolers available if you need one. You can bring up to 2 extra tents for families looking for an out door experience . We will also have tents available for rent for families. For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, homemade breads, cookies, , and ask us about some home cooked meals! The Ole Place is a beautiful and quiet piece of property. We stayed in the cabin and it had everything we needed to base camp to be able to go hiking in Savage Gulf. The kids thoroughly enjoyed paddle boating around the lake and having a camp fire. Such a great place that we are fortunate that Randy shared his land with us.

Only one con: We were not told that the attached shower room was shared by the entire campground (there are tent/rv sites around the pond), so we left our things in there. One of the friendly campers brought our stuff to us. Also the shower never got hot, FYI, but the little heater in there was great.
We so enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at this cabin site. The pond across the way was very beautiful. It was raining a lot during our stay here so we didn’t get to try the boats, but they look like fun! The accommodations like the shower attached to the cabin, cooking utensils, and coffee machine were all very nice. Thank you Randy!

I had a quiet few nights at raccoon mountain, went on a lovely tour of the caverns (fantastic guide for a solo tour on a slow Monday) and took advantage of the bark park for my pups. It was very cold when I was there and they did have a pipe bursting incident. But we're very communicative and everything was back up and running quickly. All of the staff were super helpful and accommodating, even when I forgot my sweater after checkout in one of the bathrooms and they kept it safe for me while I returned for it. Would definitely return!

It's a good spot to use as a landing place. It's not super private but I didn't feel bothered by the people there. I tried to be quiet so they felt the same! Can't beat the price. The host is very accomodating and answers all questions. They also have a cabin I have stayed at in a dofferent part of the property and they were helpful with that as well.

4 nights at The Falls at Sewanee Creek
Grant and his wife were wonderful hosts and offer several amenities that my girlfriend and I both said we’ll be back to enjoy someday. The glamp tent setup is truly breathtaking a great in between roughing it and glamorous camping. Grant took the time to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. For people thinking about this trip, I would say be sure to bring some steaks and charcoal to put on the rocket grill! It’s a really cool piece and cooks a steak to perfection. Other than that, flashlights are a plus as it gets dark early in the winter and there isn’t much lighting outside of the tent. Don’t forget to bring something fun to do around the campfire too since there’s a really cool
Rock pit a couple steps outside the tent. S’mores, music, campfire songs, and games. You’ll want to find ways to be outside the tent if you’re like us. Speaking of, there are so many cool things to do outside of the camp! Grant gave us several awesome destinations to visit before we left and we got to each of them! All exceeded our expectations. From food, to sites, to sounds! I’d encourage everyone to explore Tracy city, Monteagle, and even Nashville is only an hour and a half away!
