My oldest son Ben, and I built this campsite in January of 2024, from both our visions, and tried to make it a truly magical setting. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Tent features a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, adult size sleeping pad, 2 upholstered chairs set up as reading/relaxing nook, coffee maker, and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 5 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, as well as a couple of goats, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Coolers available if you need one. You can bring up to 2 extra tents for families looking for an out door experience . For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, homemade breads, cookies, locally sourced honey, and ask us about some home cooked meals! We ask that you please close up all windows and doors when you check out😊

Weekend Trip to River Life RV Resort
I love this campground. The benefits are numerous starting with the location to Nooga, the clean water of the river, farm fresh eggs right down the street, and last but not least, a wolf on sentry. Seriously, Ava is super sweet and the rest of the pack are apparently super social as well. The hosts are proud of their campground with good reason. There's a lot to offer here! Have fun with the time zones! Honestly, that kept us on our toes!

We loved our time at Campsite on the Caney. It is very centrally located -- 15 minutes from town, 30 minutes to an hour to over a dozen state parks & waterfalls to the West, North, & South. Smokey Mountains 2.5-3 hours to the east. Chattanooga 1.5 hours south. We were out from sunrise to sunset for 6 days straight and barely scratched the surface. We had some cold fall days and weren't able to take advantage of the kayaks but the site was gorgeous and wish we had a couple more days just to hang out at the site. Other than a couple cars a day passing by, we never saw anyone the entire 6 days. Our dogs loved it. The host was very hospitable and responsive. I would recommend this site to anyone especially if you have pets and enjoy privacy.

The campsite was very nice, with great personal touches and everything we needed during our stay. There were strings of lights hung throughout the main camp area, which was great for getting around at night. The large tent had everything one might need, from cookware and utensils, blankets, seating, as well as a bed AND a fan for cooling off. The entire setting was very pretty and relaxing, with the tent on a deck perched over large rocks with thoughtful mulched pathways throughout. It was a very nice place and our hosts were very easy to get in contact with, making sure we had a great time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great campsite with extra perks.

We found this place online and we are so glad we did! A short girls trip with daughters and their kids, this location made us feel like we were secluded, yet safe. Miss Judy had so many extra touches and a cozy atmosphere. We also got a visit from their peacocks in the morning! We would definitely stay again. Great site and great hosts!

One of, if not the best places we have ever had the pleasure of camping at!!! Laura & Delon were GREAT HOSTS!! The property is beautiful and set up perfectly for visitors. We had the “Eagles Nest” spot. Great view of the river. Only 5 spots so not overcrowded. Clean, spacious, well maintained resort. Well recommended this resort to anybody.

This is a wonderful place for a family getaway. The large rocks on which the yurt is set make the location truly spectacular. I highly recommend purchasing firewood to enjoy making s’mores together. My five-year-old daughter loved visiting the dogs on the property, as well as the chickens, peacocks, roosters, and goats. In the evening, the lights surrounding the yurt create a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.

This is one of our favorite spots! Cameron has amazing communication and responds quickly to any questions! The site is well kept and has everything you could want! The site is close to beautiful hikes and is quiet with almost no traffic. I think we saw/heard a couple of cars all weekend. We hiked Lost creek to Virgin Falls on this trip. About 20 minutes from the site and extremely challenging, but worth it if you are up for an adventure! There are also a couple for easier hikes from there that are equally pretty! We didn’t use the kayaks this time but did some bank fishing and it was peaceful. We will definitely be back!

Escape the crowded, generic campgrounds on this rural property that is designed with RVs up to 45 ft in mind and enjoy the peaceful space. Learn more about this land: Out little slice of heaven has a beautiful spring fed creek and two large fields to play in. The creek can be waist deep in areas but mostly is good for sitting in and just relaxing. Extremely quiet on a dead end road. We have 5 bars of AT&T 5g cell service, Verizon can be hit or miss. All other cell services do not work. We love the creek and our secluded valley. Only a few farmers live down the road. This makes for a very private experience that can be naturalist / clothing optional friendly. The creek is secluded with plenty of trees to enjoy however you wish. Spaces are extremely level and there are good Satellite tv abilities. We have firewood on site and two stone fire pits. Nearby is a wonderful old grist mill, Tim's Ford state park, Tim's Ford lake, Jack Daniels Distillery and other attractions. Relax on the side of the Cumberland Plateau while overlooking Burroughs Cove and the Elk River. You can see the camp sites from the main road, so there will be some road noise. Sites 1/2 are hard/large graveled, tent camping will be very challenging, heavy duty tent stakes are highly recommended with mats/padding. There is an electrical box at each end of the hard graveled parking areas (Sites 1 and 2) with 20- and 30-amp plugs, plus 110v. If the power is not working, please check the panel and turn on/reset the breakers, many of our guests turn them off when departing. If you are at Site #2 and the steps above do not work, please check/do the same at the Site #1 panel (it is the master power source). Water is NOT available on site. NOTE: Depending on the time of year (warmer months only) a water container with a limited amount of NON-POTABLE water is on site for your use. Please plan on filling your water reservoir(s) PRIOR to arriving. There is an outhouse for all guests, picnic tables and fire rings for Sites 1 and 2. The camping area is fairly close to SR-50 so please expect to hear some road noise, more so in the winter months. The entrance/driveway is on a small incline, if you are traveling in a light vehicle and a heavy camper, it's best to maintain a slow and steady speed to the camp site (for almost everyone, this is not an issue). If you are towing a camper, we recommend the total length of the vehicle and the trailer not exceeding 30ft, There is not a significant place to "turn around" at the sites and novice drivers (not used to backing out of tight spots with longer rigs) may find this very challenging. There is a double gate that is usually closed, and latched so it stays closed, it is not "locked". The site is self-serve (not manned), Site #1 is to the left, Site #2 is to the right, and Site #3 is down the path past the outhouse at the bottom of the path. It is recommended that campers set up early for Site 3 (still daylight) to get an idea of the layout. Parking for Site #3 is by the shed at the main entrance and power is not available at the site.

This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Walk the spacious well landscaped yard with multiple seating venues including a large hammock. For a quiet night of movie enjoyment, bring your favorite movies and make use of the DVD/VCR machine and wide screen television.
