We spent a few nights at the campsite while we explored the OHV trails and downhill mountain bike course at Windrock. The thought of tent camping in one of the huge gravel parking lots surrounded by throngs of people and the rattle of RV generators at one of the large campgrounds in the area held no appeal. This spot was peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. Extra bonus points for the burbling creek, the amazing assortment of birds that flew around us in the mornings, and quick and easy access to the trails. Rhonda was an excellent host!! There was a snowstorm headed our way, and she kept us updated with the changing conditions and even gave us a refund when we decided to head home early due to the storm. The property is secluded and quiet. We would definitely stay here again

I had a very peaceful stay. Personally, I love the sounds of alert farm animals. The place was very easy to find and access the campsite was easy. The place gave me a very peaceful sense of security for a few days, to leave my stuff unattended while I researched more permanent local areas. Jacob is a great guy and is there to help anyone, the best he can.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! This was our second time camping at Brian’s land, and we finally got to meet him in person , he is so kind, caring, and genuinely checks in to make sure we were comfortable. He even helped guide us with some great hiking routes nearby, which made the trip even better. The campsite itself is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect getaway if you love nature. We highly recommend this spot, and future Hipcampers should know that the host is very approachable and the land is amazing. We will definitely come back again! 🌲🏕️

Brian was an amazing host! With the bad weather during our week long trip he moved us into the cabin for an amazing deal! He also took us in for coffee and hot chocolate one morning and turned up the furnace since it got colder! If you are up for an adventure search “Cherohala Skyway” when you get into town. Dear Brian, we had an amazing vacation staying at your campsite, thank you for everything! :)

The heartstone site was amazing! Sure it was rainy and cold but nothing a tarp couldn’t fix. Beautiful views from the site, nice trail to walk along the river. The drive up was a breeze nothing crazy even after all the rain. Will defiantly be coming back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rhonda’s land! The spot was peaceful, surrounded by nature, and gave us a real sense of adventure. It’s a great place if you like being outdoors and don’t mind a bit of a rustic experience. Definitely recommend for campers who enjoy exploring and a touch of adventure — but if you prefer everything perfectly polished, this might not be your style.

I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this spot is. The stream, the trees, the quiet. I have camped in almost every state, and this is easily one of my favorite sites. The road in a bit bumpy, but doable. I easily made the trek in a civic. The road is also great for taking a scenic walk. The covered porch was perfect for a rainy afternoon, and the heater was a welcome addition on cool autumn evenings. Close to the stunning Joyce Kilmer Wilderness & Nantahala National Forest. I hope to come back again!

Amazing campground out in the mountains. The gravel road was a little longer than I thought but I had no issues getting up there in my lowered Mazda3. Brian was a great host and stopped by to make sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be back again!
