Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it. The Bearlodge Mountain Resort can be a quiet getaway from a hectic lifestyle, a base camp for hunting, an adventure-packed vacation, or a great spot to stay while you tour area attractions. Where "networking" is two pickups parked in the middle of the road so that their drivers can visit. Where we go grocery shopping in the woods during the fall. Where "neighbors" might live two hours away or just down the road. Where directions are given in "north and south" instead of "right and left". Life's a little slower, people a little more sincere and a handshake still means something! PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TENT CAMPING: I don't have any shower or bathroom facilities. The closest place I know of is the Conoco a mile north of my place on Cleveland St. They have a truck stop and I'm told the shower is nice. There is a chance I won't be on site to greet you, but so far everyone has been incredibly respectful and found some great places to put up a tent. I trust you!

We had a great stay at the Bearlodge. The site was beautiful, well maintained, and offered plenty of space to relax. The grounds were slightly unlevel, but it was easy to get set up without any issues. One of the highlights was seeing the horses on-site, which added a unique and peaceful touch to the experience. Overall, it was a quiet and enjoyable place to stay, and we would gladly visit again.

The camp site is really nice and far enough away from everything that it’s not noisy but close enough to all attractions. I would recommend staying in the lower sites as upper sites are not as close to the fields. The restaurant next to it has great steak bites, beers and a friendly bar tender.

One of the best Campgrounds we’ve stayed in. Every site is nestled in the trees. Our site was at the end of a cul de sac overlooking a lake. The showers and laundry facilities were always available and clean. The shower areas had plenty of room with hooks and benches. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved camping in our Airstream at June's. The large concrete pad, pavillion, 50amp power on either side of the pad, and a fresh water spigot were key for us to enjoy the indoor/outdoor experience. We were there over July 4th (250 birthday of America) and it was very quiet and peaceful! We did need our A/C and you do need to plan for the Black tank management.

Directions to camp are spot on which helps because the driveway can be easy to pass up. We were able to fill up with water and dump tanks at a rest stop only 2ish miles away. Site 7 was awesome for us! The tent "cul de sac" sits on a hill above some other sites. Plenty of space and enough privacy. A good mix of sun and shade, nice shelter over picnic table. The wind (to be expected daily in the Dakotas) comes from West/NW. My teardrop and extra tent fit great in space and also served as a wind block. Great location to access all the great things: Custer SP, Needles and Iron Road hwy, Sylvan Lake, dwntwn Custer. Campground facilities were immaculate and hosts were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great week- we had a blast!

I've stayed here multiple times now, and I have not been dissapointed. This place has become somewhat of a go-to stop location for me during my cross country trips. I am basically self-contained in my truck so the electric only spots work perfectly for me. The area is quiet with great views. Its a great location cause it really easy to get to off the highway. Each time I stay I see different wildlife/animals. This time was deer, horses, and pronghorn. I'm sure I'll be back again sometime.
