Coyote Crossing is a beautiful valley just south of the Great Black Hills of South Dakota. If you want to experience the prairie, we have grassland, wooded areas, and even sand and sage spots, if that's what you're into! There's many acres of trees along Horsehead Creek to explore with many cottonwoods over 100 years old and hidden groves. Our RV rental and dry camp sites all come with access to our gathering area with the chickens and goats for live entertainment! Feeding the goats and gathering your own eggs is an option here! There is an outside bathroom, horseshoe pits, fire pit and covered seating in case the weather gets moody.
Just 5 miles from the property are all the water activities you can imagine at the Angustora Reservoir and Recreation area with beaches, docks, and multiple eating establishments. 10 miles away is the beautiful town of Hot Springs where you can find bones at the Mammoth Site or take a dip in the healing waters of Moccasin Springs or the historic Evan's Plunge! Just beyond town is Wind Cave Nat'l Park where you can see buffalo and other wildlife. Mt Rushmore is only 30 miles further, along with the Crazy Horse Memorial! There's just too many sites to explore in our area to list!
If you're into gambling, Prairie Winds Casino is just a 20 minute drive. 42 miles to the south is Fort Robinson State Park where you can visit the museum and explore the old army post. Chadron State Park is also there, along with Toadstool Park.
We do harvest our alfalfa up to 3 times each season. So if you'd like to see how that is done, inquire on the timing!

We reserved the camper site for a long weekend in September and loved our site. They are right near the entrance to Spearfish canyon and it is beautiful there. June was super responsive to all of our questions which was great. It is very peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. The site is concrete and there is water hookup which we loved. We have a 26ft camper and recommend backing the camper in for the smoothest transition. If we decide to come back to the Black Hills we would stay here again.

Very pretty and very quiet place to rest and recoup. Love seeing the cows up, close lots of turkeys and listening to the tree frogs at night. I would highly recommend anyone coming up to stop and camp there. We’re driving a class a 40 foot motorhome although it’s tight getting in we did it with no problem.

We camped there with our 25 ft RV. Nice and clean site. Very peaceful and private. Enjoyed not being in a big camp site. Site is right at the entrance to Spearfish Canyon. Would definitely stay there again. Slab is not level due to drainage reasons. Be prepared to level out RV.

Andrea was amazing and so kind to us! She responds very quickly and you can tell she puts in a ton of effort into making the space homey for people coming to visit. We camped in our car at her dry site and felt incredibly safe and taken care of. We loved being able to see all the goats, chickens, ducks, and two kitties Fredrick and Dora! 🥰 The bathhouse was very clean and comforting as well. Would 100% recommend coming to stay here!

Enjoyed our peaceful beautiful surroundings in the quieter area of the Black Hills. But still close enough to area attractions. A bonus was electric & water at this spacious concrete pad. Also a large pavilion to shade you or get you out of a shower. Hanna Rd was lightly traveled, which made an excellent dog walking road with beautiful vistas along a 4 mile walk. A drive through Spearfish Canyon is just a short distance away. We extended our stay to enjoy 4 relaxing, zen-kind of days. Will definitely return to Luxury RV Canyon Retreat.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet setting located close to area attractions then this location is for you. We enjoyed a 4 day stay appreciating the lovely surroundings and wildlife. Dog walking was great on Hanna Road (a lightly traveled road). There is a large concrete rv pad, electric, water and a large pavilion to enjoy.

A lovely place to stay if you are looking for peaceful solitude, beautiful surroundings, wild life viewing and yet are close to the many attractions located in the Black Hills. An added bonus: the site provided electric hook-up, fresh water, a large concrete pad to park on and a big pavilion to keep you shaded or dry in the event of rain. Minimal traffic on Hanna Rd which made dog walking safe. Our host was attentive and responsive to any inquiries we made. Would highly recommend this location.

A peaceful place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful, quiet surroundings. The air was clean & fresh with the fragrant smell of pines. We appreciated the fact we were alone without fellow campers. Plenty of deer to see foraging in the woods and little chipmunk's scampering around the camp area. A large pavilion provided cover from rain & sun. The concrete pad and electric hook-up was an added bonus! There is even a fresh water hook-up to top off your tank. And the water is cold & delicious! Hanna road, which runs up the canyon offered great dog walking, with minimal traffic. You are conveniently located to major attractions and yet far enough away to enjoy a slower, quieter spot in the Black Hills. Don’t miss taking a drive through Spearfish Canyon, a spectacular scenic drive just moments away. Originally signed up for a 2 day stay, but extended our stay to 4 days! Enjoyed every minute.

We loved our 4 night stay at the rv spot. The property is well cared for, quiet and great location for our time in Lead. We travel with a 36' 5th wheel - backing in was a little tricky, but not difficult. June, the host, was great to communicate with and helpful with booking questions, etc. We wouldn't look further if we stay in the area again.
