2 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

This cute little cabin was right on the river, perfect spot for me and my dogs to set up camp For a few days. Short drive to some of the coolest waterfalls in NC, or just enjoy the river right in front of you. I was pleasantly surprised by thr the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the cabin as well as heat and ac for all your needs. Hosts were very friendly and helpful

2 nights at Cold Spring Basecamp

My wife and I stayed in the treehouse for a few days following our wedding. It was the perfect oasis providing us beauty, tranquility, and a unique experience only living in a tree can provide. Every detail was well thought out and much was provided for the treehouse stay, even similar to a hotel. We so loved our time here and look forward to more stays in the future!

We loved our camping experience on John’s land. It was peaceful, beautiful. We had all the privacy and seclusion we wanted while at the same time, John was available if we needed anything. we camped on the hill top and at first were bummed that we couldn’t be at the Riverside, but once we got to our campsite, we loved it. We could still hear the river and had a beautiful view of the sunrise. would definitely stay again.

EXCELLENT property. Quiet. The host, John, is friendly and accommodating. Directions are accurate. Property/sites are easy to get to. Both tent sites are directly on the river and spacious. Plenty of trees for shade. If you are looking to fish directly from your site- chose Tent/RV site or there are fishing opportunities further down the bank. I will be returning!

Such a nice spot!! Campsite 1 is right by the sweetest creek with huge rhododendrons sprawling over! Had a really nice picnic table, and rock fire ring, and hammock! Ground was wood chips and grass! Hiking to the waterfall was fun! So was the cold plunge! Limited hiking, we did all the trails in one morning, but beautiful area! Great signs to let you know where things were, and outhouse was so nice to have!

The site was scenic right by the river and we'll set for a couple of tents. Awesome views and quiet surroundings. No camp sites were directly adjacent so you won't feel like you're in a group camping environment (like state parks). Super easy to get to. Thanks and I look forward to visiting again.

Weekend Trip to Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

I absolutely loved this spot!! It was perfect for trying what I thought was going to be my first solo camping trip but my best friend came with me. We felt safe being just 2 female campers. It was peaceful and it’s close to town if you forgot something. We got site number 2 and it had a nice size-able beach area. There were spots in the shade under some trees but we chose to set up on the beach with our 2-4 man tents so we could hear the water all night long. I saw in some reviews where people complained about the traffic on hwy 25. We did hear some of the noise but it wasn’t over bearing. It didn’t bother us. We slept peacefully and just loved being able to walk around while walking her dog. She did a little fishing. The water is perfect for kids to play and splash for those that have children. The beach is sandy on one side and had lots of river rocks on the other side. The cute little bathroom was newly build and we could still smell the fresh wood from it. It was very clean, WITH HOT WATER for showering, and a regular flushing toilet!! Those are a huge deals for primitive camping. There was a water faucet near the entrance to our campsite with drinkable water. Definitely an area I would feel safe going alone. There were other campsites available but they were not too close together so u will definitely have your privacy. We happened to be the only campers at the time! Craig and Sarah are amazing hosts, quick to respond. I got to take home some fresh farm eggs. 😍

Weekend Trip to Pisgah Riverbend

Patrick is a wondeful and accomdating host. Site 2 was beautifully shaded just as the picture shows. There was a good amount of rain before and during my stay. The recommendation for 4WD is a fair one. It set and met my expectation, and met that expectation. It's of course relative to your comfort level. I had my minivan and was ok. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

1 night at The Confluence

We were looking for seclusion, privacy, romance, and a chance to reconnect with nature—and The Confluence delivered all of that and more! Although we only stayed one night, it truly felt like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. The campsite was clean, inviting, and impressively well-appointed for a primitive setup. The host clearly takes pride in maintaining a peaceful, comfortable space. Would we return? Absolutely. Highlights of the site include: • A flowing river with a small, accessible beach • Beautiful trees surrounding a wide-open meadow • A private primitive restroom • Covered picnic table • Fire ring • Decking for a tent • Soft, solar-powered lights that added a cozy touch A+++ experience—highly recommended!

1 night at Peace Of Pisgah

With access to multiple forests and cities nearby, Peace of Pisgah is the perfect place to stay during your adventure. My campsite was right by the creek with trails connecting to the outhouse, shower, and community kitchen. I felt cozy underneath all of the large rhododendron trees which, along with the fence along the campsites' property line, provided great coverage from anyone driving by. There are roosters and chickens but they stayed to themselves and were situated on the other side of the property so I didn't hear too much from them I loved my stay; Vicki and Bryan were wonderful hosts who made me feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable, and always had lists of recommendations every time I talked to them.

Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. Wildcat Outpost

Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option. Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our guests love staying here: "This was our first time using Hipcamp and we couldn’t have been happier! Candace was great at communicating and quick to respond to our questions. Site 1 was perfect. We had so much room for just the two of us and the water access was great for our dogs to swim. Plus it was so quiet, we’ll probably never go back at state park camping!
