We live at the end of a cul-de-sac in an old neighborhood west of the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina. Access to downtown Charleston is 20 minutes away and Folly beach is a 30 to 45 minute drive. We have full hook ups in our second driveway available for rent. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac and a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. We homeschool our three boys, but we will keep them quiet between 9 PM and 8 AM! There is not much room to have your awning extended. Also, make sure you have approx. 50 feet of water & sewer hose, as the electric and water are on one side, but the sewer service is in the other. Also, anything over 25' in length might be difficult to fit due to the incline of the driveway. The electrical hook-up is 50 amp, so if you are running 30 amp, you will need an adapter. Also, please use a traditional hose (vs. one of those expandable hoses), as the expandable hoses wreak havoc on the house's plumbing.

Located 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, near Kiawah and Johns Island, Bee Haven is 3 Wadmalaw acres. An adorable tiny camper sleeps one person (no pets) with parking right there.
A shoeless interior, step inside and awe at the cuteness featuring shiplap, ac/giant tv and pullout chair/bed. As this is a work in progress, the toilet is an approved contracted porta potty and an outdoor shower. Running water is available in the sink inside the camper.

We were there for a quick trip to visit family at the beach. Very convenient to Folly Beach.
After a tight turn into the driveway, we later learned that we could have approached from the opposite direction which would have been an easier turn.
Did not take advantage of the “marsh nights” as we were too busy with our grandkids. Would stay again.

The only downside was the mosquitoes but they really can’t help that issue.

We love camping at Liz’s place! This was our second time camping here & we have loved every minute of it. It’s close to all the fun things we wanted to do. We brought our kayaks & found many place to kayak nearby. From the Port Royal sunset to the beautiful beaches of Huntington Island. This place will not disappoint!

Amazing camping spaces, has 5 horses, 3 mares, and 2 colts which one is a stallion. Really nice people, and I only got to see the 2 colts because the other 3 were at a show. They offer trail rides when they have the mares because the colts are to young. The colts are so sweet, the white one loves attention but will boss you around a little bit, his name is kiyro and he will come up to you, the brown one is named river who is really nice, but he will not come up to you, and he will be a little scared if you, when he gets to know you he will come around a little bit.

We had a lovely time at Liz's campsite. I loved that it was private for our easily excited dog. We enjoyed walking to the pond to see the different birds everyday and we even saw a deer one evening. The campsite was in the perfect location! 30 mins to Hunting Island State Park, close to Cypress Wetland's Port Royal and perfect for touring the Old City of Beaufort! We will definitely be back this summer!

Thanks for the stay. I read all the reviews before deciding to stay here. Even the bad reviews were correct, It's a farm. So it's what I expected. It was remote and private yet it was a short drive to restaurants and a grocery store. Getting to Charleston was quick. It does only have a 20 amp electric service but it must be a good one as it held, never getting hot, while I used everything in my camper including heat. The driveway is dirt so go slow. The code I was given for the gate did not work but the proper code is written on the post. My only agreement with the other reviews is the beep from the gate opening can be annoying. I only noticed it the first evening and it never bothered me in my camper again. So it wasn't really that loud just noticeable at first. There was a lot of gate openings that Friday evening. The rest of the weekend the gate opening was rare. As a bonus even though they're were no kids on the playground it was fun to watch the squirrels enjoy the area. Although I never saw any other animals I could hear farm animals and an owl. It was nice. So it is everything I expected from a hip camp. Simple, nature and inexpensive.

Liz's land met our needs for an affordable spot to park our camper while we explored the area. We spent most of our time at Hunting Island State Park and it was close enough for multiple trips there and back during our stay. We also enjoyed biking the Spanish Moss Trail. We had everything we needed at the site and Liz responded quickly to questions we had upon arrival. The permanent shelter is a nice addition. We did have trouble with mosquitos and other biting pests while there, so be prepared for that. As other reviews have stated, it is on a busy road and there is road noise, although you can't see the road. We knew that when choosing the site.

Simple but great driveway spot for short stop-overs! Water, power and sewer dump right at the spot. It is basically level - its so level that we didnt need to do anything, but if youre super, super picky, you will want to. The spot fit our class c and our truck. The host was super friendly and even helped is into our spot! Great value and close to everything we needed!
