We loved staying at Little River Hideaway! Such an awesome setting, especially with the new gazebo. The community garden was absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed having the Cedar Mountain Outpost so close for food and drink. We definitely will be back.

Weekend Trip to Mountain View Acres

This site is at the bottom of a hill and was all grass, very nice to sleep on. It’s also VERY private. Nobody else next to you. It does have an electric fence for the cows but I parked my vehicle between the site and the fence and then we used our solar path lights to make sure we didn’t walk into it at night. It was worth it because my 2 and 5 year old were in love with all the animal visitors and it really made their stay. My little guy would drag his chair over and just sit and watch them. They love the ducks cat and chickens especially. This sit has a killer sunset view. And is surrounded by wildflowers. There is a wood stack! I brought my own but that was a blessing. And a very huge firepit. Luckily I have a little grill with legs to put in the fire for our meals. The bath house is large and was kept very clean, all fixtures working. At night, you could watch allll these fireflies lifting out of the grass around it and it felt magical. The host was not only communicative but very kind. I was worried about the electric fence as I didn’t realize I’d be so close and she offered to move us. But it was worth it like I said. Her son also ran a bell and fed the cows for my kids which they thought was fantastic. And they turned the fence off for some petting as well. The property is pretty and there was cell reception and we were 6 minutes from a gas ration so while it was set apart, you could restock on things if you needed them. I recommend Little Bradley Falls nearby

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

Not just a beautiful spot on the river, but a great host as well. We are going again. A clean out house and beautiful spacious campsights to enjoy. Although remote, if you find you need anything, it's a short 10 minutes drive to a store/gas station. I recommend this campsite. A great river to enjoy.

5 nights at Holly View Farm

I will most likely be staying here again on trips between western nc and Michigan. RV pull ins are easy and price is nice for hookups and WiFi!! Hope to have an off-road camper in the future to take advantage of one of the riverside spots 😎 It’s also quiet and the sunset was nice.

We had an awesome stay! Fern Gully was a beautiful place to spend the night and it was only a minute or two walk from our car. The river was gorgeous and even better than I expected, and it was nice to be so close to downtown.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

My friend and I had an amazing time catching up and spending time connecting with Mother Earth. The river was amazing, and the owner gave us a great recommendation for a float down the river, we sat with our feet on the rocks looking at the beautiful nature and sunset and went back to drive off by the fire. The lot was flat, shaded and comfortable and over all the experience was awesome. Definitely hope to visit again!

Great camping spot. Super close to town and the trails. Would definitely recommend if in the Brevard area!

3 nights at Singletrack Shack

We loved our stay at the Shack! It is clean and well stocked. Christy was an attentive hostess. The trails on site were well maintained and provided a beautiful place to walk. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the site while also being a short drive away from DuPont, Pisgah, and Hendersonville.

Weekend Trip to Little River Hideaway

This was a great campsite. Very well maintained with full hook ups. It’s also private with your own gazebo! The host provided wonderful directions and communicated well. The site was even ready early. We hiked to waterfalls that were a short drive away & wine tasted near Hendersonville. Highly recommend.

2 nights at Serenity on the Saluda

This was such an amazing few days. My sister and I took our two boys (4 and 5) for their first camping trip. The tent site and view of the river was gorgeous. The site was clean and really well set up for us to have a good tent set up and plenty of room for the kids to play. Being two lone women it can always be a little scary camping alone but John was super nice, dropped our firewood off promptly, and even gave our kids some cucumbers from his garden. He was even nice enough to jump our car battery when one of the boys inevitably left the car door open. We booked the spot without direct access to the river so we could relax too but the other site had a boat entrance where we could drop in our kayaks. We spent the two days fishing, kayaking, and swimming on the rocks. It’s rare I go somewhere and say I want to come back and have this exact same experience again but we’re already checking our calendars for when we can come back to this beautiful spot for part 2. 1000/10 recommend to anyone considering this. Thank you so much for having us John. We will be back.

1 night at Holly View Farm

Great location - quiet, dark skies (amazing stars the night I was there), and so many fireflies it looked like Christmas lights! Potable water and electric too. All this while being within easy access to Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, and Pisgah National Forest.

2 nights at Serenity on the Saluda

I loved this spot. I felt completely private and relaxed. My dogs enjoyed walks around the property and the garden. The river was muddy from rain so bathing/swimming was not an option but I enjoyed every minute.

Nice campsite with good facilities. Quiet with available wood for fire, flat tent sites, good tables, and OK potty. River access is difficult with wet, down sloping steps rising from deep water. Access is poorly marked and appears before it is marked on the river guide map.

What a beautiful and amazing place! The campsite is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature — the perfect escape from the busy world. Everything was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. The owner was super helpful and welcoming, providing clear directions and support whenever we needed it. You can really feel the care that goes into this place. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic, and well-organized camping experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Fern Gully is a great little campsite, with really cool creek and river access. It’s also a great place to put in for tubing, I recommend also booking The Bend for take-out, if it’s available.

We had an awesome time tubing the Saluda from Camp Moondog. We booked both Fern Gully and The Bend, and it makes a real nice 30-min float with a couple rapids, and a quick walk back up to put-in. We also tubed across the river to Dolly Cooper park.

6 nights at Little River Hideaway

We LOVED this campsite! It was clean, private, close to the most beautiful creek, and the WiFi was great. We especially loved the deck and gazebo for our use. The location was great for day trips to Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We also went to Asheville one day. Full hookups were a bonus. Definitely recommend!

I started Nero Coffee in 2019 and purchased 6 acres near DuPont State Forest to share my land and create my own coffee campground to continue growing the mission. Update for 2024! Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Cherryfield Luxury Group Camping exceeded our expectations. The shelters and grounds were prestine and the covered platforms were definately the way to go car camping. Our tents stayed neat and the covered shelter kept us dry and cozy as we watched the rain on our second night without a fly on our tent.This campsite has thought of everything. There are grills an firepits beside each platform (each platform is large enough for 3 four person tents) and there are two common shelters with electricity and GORGEOUS bathrooms. It is funny to say, but the bathrooms were nicer than many hotels we've stayed at... large tiled shower with digital temperature controls, excellent water pressure from the large rain shower head, and, as a bonus, surround shower heads for that extra special something. I have never been excited by a shower or bathroom at a campground, but I made sure to shower before leaving because the experience was so zen. There is ample lawn space to play games, set up additional tents, and spread out for privacy, even during larger group gatherings. There are grills and grill tops by each fire pit making campfire or grill cooking easy, but delicious local restaurants just 10 minutes away also offer catering style menus that makie car camping and group gatherings even easier (the local BBQ and Italian were terrific). The grounds are meticulously kept and there are sturdy bear boxes to protect food and trash to help keep unwanted visitors from troubling guests. While we enjoyed some activities away from Cherryfied, we could have easily spent the entire weekend at the campsite. Not only are the grounds spectacular, but there is an easy walking trail to a lovely moss covered waterfall just steps away from the campgroud. The sound of the waterfall can be heard from the campground. It added ambient atmosphere and lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts were terrific and offered many suggestions for take out meals and activities. My only criticism is that the weekend went by too quickly. I did not realize how much my family needed an escape of this sort until we got the Cherryfield. I recomment Cherryfield without reservation. Take good care of this special place. We cannot wait to return.
