Wonderful Stay – Peaceful and Thoughtfully Set Up
Had a great time at Dennis and Melissa’s place! It’s a very peaceful setting, and they really thought of all the little things—trashcan, electricity, water, and a nice place to sit and relax. There were several great spots to set up a hammock, and I heard almost no road noise, which made it even more relaxing. The shower felt amazing, and having a clean, regular toilet with absolutely no smell was such a bonus. Dennis and Melissa were super friendly but never intrusive. Highly recommend this spot!

This was absolutely perfect for my group to stay at. We were pretty desperate for a place to stay when I booked this, and Carla was friendly, flexible, and quick to communicate. Upon arrival after a VERY long day, our hosts saw how tired we were and offered us the already set up tent/yurt. This was a blessing in so many ways as we had an early morning and it stormed pretty bad in the night and would've most likely destroyed our own tent. They were so awesome in everything!

This was our first Hip Camp venture and we were more than pleased with Dennis & Melissa's Hidden Creek site. We really appreciated their gentle conversation and their openness with their property. Being able to move about freely added to the overall sense of relaxation of the space. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. We also very much appreciated the playground equipment, outdoor lights, and really all of the amenities that were available. The home-made feel of the campsite was an added joy. You can tell they care and they want to be Hip Camp hosts.

Melissa’s land was so fun to explore for a long weekend! We had so much fun fishing in their pond and hanging out by the campfire. Our dog fell in the love with the cows. We can’t wait to stay again!

I knew I would be passing thru and in late. Though my reservation came in just a few hours before arriving, I was able to quickly make contact with Carla. We maintained great communication. The land was well maintained, the pond was beautiful (huge catfish), specious, and quiet. Sweet folks, perfectly located, I’ll be stopping in again.

Melissa and Dennis’ spot was a sweet, quiet spot. We only spent one night on our way through South Carolina but would definitely go back. Melissa and Dennis were there to greet us when we arrived and were super accommodating, even turning the water on for us even though it was turned off due to the cold weather. Would definitely recommend their place to anyone looking for a scenic, peaceful place to stay.

I have not met a kinder couple of folks in my travels than Melissa and Dennis (& family). They embody what I love about people in the South!
Beautiful, secluded and quiet farm land that struck the perfect balance of amenities and sites with a very safe and laid back feel, the perfect environment for camping. (Great lighting was provided if wanted)
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the opportunity to meet Melissa and Dennis, who both made me feel like a friend upon arrival.
I will definitely be going back for another visit in the Spring. There is so much to do and explore in the area.

What an amazing place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Surrounded by nature, ambiance and animals I couldn’t have found a better place to stay on a quick stop while traveling. My only negative is that I didn’t stay longer. Carla, Abner and their dad were some of the best people you could ever meet and this place will be one of my favorites from now on. I will definitely come back.

I have actually been there twice in the last month! Talk about peaceful! I pitched my inflatable tent just feet from the water, fished while kicking back next to my camp fire and cooked some liver and onions. The property has ample shade trees, nice hiking trails and plenty of farms animals to make it feel like the farm it is. Carol, Earlie and Mr. Ray made me feel right at home. I plan on going back time after time again! It's close to where I live but it has that nice country feeling that I needed to bring back those memories of growing up in the country. Love it! Love it!
