See beautiful wildlife such as swans, bald eagles, herons, bobcats and river otters, while enjoying the river with three kayaks and a canoe provided. Enjoy your own space with a bedroom (queen bed), kitchenette, bathroom, living room with queen sleeper sofa and a dining area. Just outside your door is a covered patio that overlooks the river, with a gas fire pit, dining table, grill, couch, lounge chairs and a hammock. Walk down the steep slope to access the river or to hike the almost 5 acres of land on the river. (make sure during summer months you have tick spray when hiking). Unique property where you must be physically fit to access the slope that leads down to the river. It is steep and can be dangerous. Life vests are provided and must be worn when kayaking. No beginner kayakers! This is not the place to learn how to kayak on a river, so please be honest with yourself, as the river can get rough. The in-law apartment is also 13 miles from Mohegan Sun Casino with numerous shops, gambling, restaurants and concerts year-round. Foxwoods casino is about 15 miles away as well.

We are a 48-acre historic, conservation fiber farm smack in the middle of Rhode Island-in an area that was once all farmland. We are a bit of a holdover-and we take our stewardship role of this farming legacy quite seriously. Despite our glorious natural setting, we are actually very close to all the places people want to visit in RI-including Providence (15 minutes), Newport (30 minutes) beaches (15-40 depending on which one you chose) and a bunch of parks and hiking areas (15-45 minutes max). We are also near Ct and Mass-so a good home base for all kinds of exploring! Stays are limited to three nights.

1 night at Water Forest Retreat
I had an incredible time at this glamping treehouse—it was truly a special experience. The host clearly thought of everything and provided an amazing, well-planned stay from start to finish. I already can’t wait to come back in the summer.
That said, this was also an excellent winter camping trip. The treehouse stayed toasty warm all night, even with outside temperatures dropping into the low 20s and strong winds. We woke up to an unexpected 3–4 inches of snow, made a fire, and cooked chocolate chip pancakes with hot coffee—it was absolutely incredible.
The hosts are great people, the experience was unforgettable, and I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for something unique and memorable.

I know this is listed as an RV spot but it’s also a great tent spot & car camping area as well. Been here a few times and will be back again. Private, safe and scenic, what else could you ask for. Theres also a clean porta potty on site and an epic, natural stone firepit.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! The host was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond! She was amazing! It made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. We brought our two kids and our German Shepherd!
The campsite was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully set up. It was also great because it was super close to stores and restaurants as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would happily come back again. Highly highly recommend for families and dog owners! 🏕️🐾✨

KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Glamping with the Wild Horses
We had an amazing time! When we got there we were greeted by Jody & she was AMAZING! She helped us get settled in and made sure we knew that if there was anything we needed we could call her. The beds were incredibly comfortable, it downpoured so hard for most of the night and the dome was great! It didn’t let a single drop of rain in. There’s a wood stove in the dome and it was enough to keep us toasty warm even though it was in the low 30’s, they also provide tons of warm comfy blankets. There was plenty of wood chopped right outside the domes so if you run out it’s very close. We were able to go and help feed the herd and had the opportunity to give plenty of scratches! In the morning we booked the hike with the horses with Tatianna & Chris which was amazing! We were actually in the areas with the gorgeous herd and were able to get hands on again! I honestly could go on all night talking about how amazing it was but in my opinion the very best part of everything was the fact that every single cent that I spent while we were there went right back into caring for and maintaining the herd. When I was looking for a place to go that’s what sealed the deal and made the decision to pick this place very easy!! I highly HIGHLY recommend checking it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

This was so much fun! To wake up and see the horses (and donkeys!) wandering right outside our dome was perfect, and getting to do the walk about with MacKenzie and learn about the horses and their background was so interesting.
The dome was clean and cozy, with a little wood stove. We weathered a hurricane in October with no problems.

Easy to find with Google and written directions. The property is secluded and ideal for camping with close access to local trails. Mary and Victor were very nice and when asked were flexible to let us stay in the converted trailer due to weather. The horses were amazing and friendly to bet! Great experience and definitely will return and recommend.

Weekend Trip to Inlaw Apt @River near Casino, Kayak
Loved staying here! The view is amazing, and the outdoor patio area has a sofa and outdoor fire pit, which was so cozy on a cool fall night. We used the canoe on the river - loved that Gina has kayaks and a canoe for guests to use (and life vests). Inside the apartment was so clean and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Gina left us a basket of snacks and fruit, coffee and a vase of beautiful fresh flowers welcomed us when we arrived. Gina was great to communicate with and answered all my questions. She lives upstairs, but we felt like we had the place the ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here. Also check out Arrowhead Acres bakery, winery and farm - just 12 minutes from the property. Delicious food and wine. Had dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in Norwich called Canggio Restaurant. Such great food!!

2 nights at Water Forest Retreat
My husband and I loved staying at Treehouse!! If you are looking for a magical place in nature, look no further! The Treehouse is a very private and tranquil spot in the woods that is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life. The hammock was by far our favorite spot to relax in and gaze up to the sky. We had perfect weather for hiking and the trails are well marked and maintained. We even got to see a deer while out on the trails! Nighttime is meant for fires and the fire pit area with tiki torches is beautiful and relaxing. We came back home recharged and refreshed. Bert and Nancy are incredible hosts with the most positive energy! They thought of every little detail and Bert was very attentive just in case we needed anything, but not intrusive. I am pretty sure we over packed lol Can’t wait to book our next stay!
