Great place! Really well-maintained and clean, it's clear that Alicia takes a lot of pride in this property. Very close to the road, but very little traffic so it feels private. As someone who exclusively boondocks, having the 30 amp service was a real luxury! No joke about the lack of Verizon service though - make sure you pay for the Wi-Fi box unless you have T-Mobile or AT&T. Looking forward to coming back.

We brought our motor home and the pad was perfectly sized for even a large trailer. It was quiet and tranquil. There were plenty of fish to catch in the lake and Alicia’s selection of boats will fit any experience level.

Beautiful mowed meadow. Peaceful. Private. But if you have a dog in October, there are hundreds of tiny ticks. Luckily our dog is white so I could see them moving. Otherwise it was great.

Loved the secludedness of this place. Campsites very spread out. Plenty of groomed trails to walk and a short drive to many other parks and waterfalls. Compost outhouse did not smell. Plenty of firewood available onsite for a good price (pay with cash or PayPal). FYI no cell signal for T-Mobile customers).

This single camp stands out from so many others. We are used to backpacking and now have a little camper that we wanted to spend some time in. We are not the RV parking lots kind of folks! We were looking for something more private and that had options for time together, and this was perfect. Not completely secluded but we had our space to be out and enjoy. We opted for the WiFi option since it’s currently a dead zone for Verizon. We enjoyed a trip out on the canoe and got to see the whole pond and surrounding area. We also saw a great blue heron and belted kingfisher several times. Truly a relaxing and beautiful spot ! We’ll definitely be back! This is a favorite for us. And just to note for those who want to camp with friends or family that aren’t so campy, the owner’s also have a gorgeous cabin across the road to rent. Terrific find!

This is a very nice location, only about 11/2 miles from Whitney Point but very private. We were the only people there, had not trouble getting our 17 foot trailer in on gravel pad. We hauled our water but there is the spigot about 200 feet from where the 30 amp service is. A supple of dry wood and nice fire ring we made good use of, river was drought low but still hooked couple smallmouth bass and a several giant chub minnows. Saw couple three bald eagles fly though, lots of blue jays and king fishers sounding off. A very good spot, recommend for privacy and convenience, town is close but it doesn’t feel that way

Fantastic place to camp! Host was super nice and responsive! The only thing I would warn other campers of is the sign to the road is just a small yard sign and the road is really rough to drive on. Lower to the ground cars will have a hard time. I will absolutely be going back next year!

Well thought out and manicured sites! I enjoyed my cozy stay under the Pines. The other sites looked pretty much in the open. This site was past a couple of the other sites that are nearer to the toilet so I just used my own camp toilet rather than walking "all that way".
I loved that there was a picnic table and nice fire ring. The trails were also nice to explore.
Only a 10 minute drive to the beautiful Robert Treman State Park.
When I went to bed I did put in ear plugs as you do hear a fast road in the distance where the sound only seems to amplify when it gets dark. I didn't really notice it as much during the day time.
I'd definately stay here again but check out a different site, next time; for variety.

Amazing campsite by a peaceful pond with beautiful view. The site was spotless and even had an electric outlet, which made running our portable fridge super convenient. It was quiet, relaxing, and we loved spotting the local wildlife. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene camping experience.

This is a must visit short-stay glamping adventure in one of the country’s best Hipcamp locales, for a fraction of the cost (as you must walk to a composting toilet and there are no showers) but hey, it’s well worth it. Here you will find a gorgeous location with lots of space and lovely touches like tiki torches, a free stack of firewood, chairs, and a picnic table AND your phone will work! Feels remote but is short drive down the road and the first site on the property with lots of charm and lush greenery. I once stayed in a luxury tent in Africa - and this tent is just as well-made and finely crafted. My son and I had a blast celebrating his 21st bday weekend under the stars with the night breeze and animal sounds. There’s lanterns in the tent, and tables, and an extra blanket but we didn’t need it. Toasty! The bed is a dream. I slept like a baby - but woke to the yips and howls of the coyotes. Make sure you have a rain or white noise setting on your phone as they are up to making quite the racket late into the night or early morning depending upon your perspective. (Also they are not interested in humans so don’t be alarmed!) Last but certainly not least - Craig is an amazing host - highly responsive, kind, and helpful. Just stellar. Would definitely book again!

The Green Heron is an excellent place to camp! We camped In the Pines, which was very comfortable. The kids loved walking the pathways around the campsite. We had enough room for a 6-person tent and a 3-person tent. We had to walk by the Upper Meadow and Lower Meadow campsites to get to the composting toilet, though this was not an issue for us, and we couldn't see other campsites from our campsite. The outhouse was clean and did not smell. There is a steep, though short, hill to drive down to the In the Pines site. I could see how it might be slippery if the ground was wet, but the ground was dry when we drove it and our minivan managed to make it up the hill. Overall the site is very peaceful!

Really cool campsite. High end amenities like Adirondack chairs and 2 different types of swings. There is a dock with a slide and diving board and a whole bunch of cool add ons. We rented the rowboat and I took my dogs out on the lake which was super fun. The site was private with just a small country road running behind the property with minimal local traffic. Great for families with kids that love swimming!!

Great views, end spot…..the dogs loved every second as did my wife and I.
Had both 50 and 30 amp services which is very convenient. The host Alicia,
greeted us and was prompt at replying to messages and answering questions. WiFi hot spot worked well. All amenities were perfect, will visit again with the grand kids 👍

Great location for glamping. Conveniently close to both Ithaca & Taughanock Falls. The site was very well set organized; both interior & exterior were comfortable under the oak trees. Fire pit, tiki torches, picnic table and front porch with chairs were very nice. Bed was comfy. The location on the property was private, but other tent/RV campsites and a pond were a short walk away. The dark sky at night was stellar for stargazing.

Great spot to camp! Secluded for privacy so you feel like you’re in nature by yourself and the overall set up is well made. Highly recommend if you want to feel almost like you’re primitive camping
