A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door.

Picnic tables and chairs provided. Well behaved pets okay, leashes may be required. Mostly level terrain, ample parking area. Very peaceful here. My favorite place to relax, with a guitar and a glass of wine!

Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area. Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose.
There is no bathroom.

The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The Season House, one of the two foreman homes, features additional guest accommodations while Doug resides in the other foreman house. Visit and experience a piece of PA history! We stayed at Dark Sky retreat for a few nights and even in January after a giant snow storm it was so lovely and cozy! The woodstove and heater keep the home nice and toasty. Kevin and Amy are very communicative hosts if you any questions at all they respond quickly. The hot tub is awesome even in the below freezing temperatures and there was not a single thing we needed or forgot to bring that the house didn’t have prepared for us! The kitchen is very well stocked with supplies and everything was very clean. The stars are very visible even with not totally clear sky’s. very close to Elk Mountain which is great for beginner skiers. 10/10 recommend staying here

Beautiful view of the valley! Remote enough to enjoy the stars but close enough to enjoy the two towns during the day!
Only thing is maybe a sign due to it being a bit challenging to find th correct drive way!

Eric was a great host and met us in the driveway. I personally like to meet the host to know where I'm camping vs. trying to figure it out in the dark. I definitely recommend trying to meet Eric so he can tell you where to go. Spot was gorgeous and was exactly what we'd hoped for.
4x4 was required for the snow camping we did but wouldn't be in dry weather.

I enjoyed my stay at the Organic Farm in the Pocono Mountains. Eric greeted me on my arrival and the space I stayed was serene. They were hospitable and available for questions and hiking suggestions. I also felt safe being a solo camper. The Delaware Water Gap was less than 20 min away from the campsite!

Great place! Really well-maintained and clean, it's clear that Alicia takes a lot of pride in this property. Very close to the road, but very little traffic so it feels private. As someone who exclusively boondocks, having the 30 amp service was a real luxury! No joke about the lack of Verizon service though - make sure you pay for the Wi-Fi box unless you have T-Mobile or AT&T. Looking forward to coming back.

The campsites at the organic farm are great, spacious and secluded. A lot of birds and several deer were attracted by the pond. The farm is very close to the city and the trails, at very convenient spot for everything one needs. Communication with Eric was excellent! I would come again anytime.

Weekend Trip to Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
I would recommend this place to all my friends!
The cabin itself was perfect for a weekend getaway having all the essentials needed and some nice extras like the hot tub and sauna. The area was incredibly beautiful and close to a cute little town. Despite some travel issues, we were met with kindness and flexibility, which show how amazing they were at hosting! We also got some very good local recommendations :) we’ll definitely be back!

We brought our motor home and the pad was perfectly sized for even a large trailer. It was quiet and tranquil. There were plenty of fish to catch in the lake and Alicia’s selection of boats will fit any experience level.

We such a groovy time at Hippies Haven. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay special. Loved the hot tub and listening to records while sitting by the fire. The heater keep the room nice and toasty. View is spectacular and it was so sweet to wake up to a deer family grazing in the yard.
