We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

Weekend Trip to Paper Mill Pines Glamping Getaway

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Allen and the kids, and had such a pleasant experience. He drove out belongings and some of us down the the glamping site and was kind and welcoming. The tent was clean, comfortable and warm. We had all the firewood we needed, cooking supplies, composting toilet in the outhouse, water. My husband and I had a great time with our son and teenage nephews. Highly recommend the beautiful surrounding scenery of the lake and woods and wildlife. I didn’t get to meet Donna, but she is very friendly and communicative. Thank you for a great stay!

This glamping tent was PERFECT!!! Donna, Alan, and Tyrion 🐱 were perfect hosts. The heater in the tent was great for the colder nights and my puppy loved the land to sniff around. Very close to Rickette’s Glen state park and local to some cidery’s and winery’s. We even checked out a drive-in movie when we were there. If you’re looking to unplug and to have some privacy, this is perfect :)

we had the best weekend at paper mill pines. as people who don’t usually camp, we felt so safe, welcomed, and totally looked after. the hosts were incredible, so kind and genuine the entire time. the site had everything we could have needed, even after overpacking. the coleman bundle was a must, the bluetooth speaker somehow lasted the whole trip, and the firewood supply never ended. the bathroom was spotless, and the 4x4 drive into the site made it feel like a real little adventure. just a heads up for t-mobile users, there’s no service, so download your playlists ahead of time. our group of five left with full hearts, full stomachs, and so many good memories. can’t recommend this place enough

Camping at CSDG for the second time, and it was just as great as the first. We had the chance to play a round with Cathy, John, and Dave, and we had such a fun time that we played an additional 8 on the older course with the makeshift baskets—definitely awesome!! You can tell Cathy and John love what they do, and they radiate nothing but warmth and kindness. Communication was great, bathroom was clean, and the camp site was private and stocked with wood. Can’t wait to come back in the spring!

Catherine was such a friendly host! She even gave us some frisbees to try out disc golfing as we were all total newbies at it! The campsite is absolutely perfect. Relatively flat plot to pitch a tent, a really nice fire pit, easy access to a porta potty. The campsite was also very accessible from the town so if you wanted to use a "real" bathroom that was more than doable! Amazing view from the campsite as well, waking up to the fog settling on the hill was sooo beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away!

We had such a great experience camping here! The site itself was beautiful — peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature. We camped with our two-year-old, and it couldn’t have been a better fit for our family. Everything we needed was right there, which made the whole trip so much easier with a little one. It really felt like the perfect balance of comfort and the outdoors. It’s not always easy to find a campsite that works so well for families with young children, but this one truly exceeded our expectations. We’re already looking forward to coming back and would absolutely recommend it to anyone, whether you’re camping with kids or just looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Weekend Trip to Bare Lake House

This was a last minute stop on our trip. Aric was very accommodating! I would love to come back in the summer, it seems like a really good time. The cabin was clean and cozy. There was a like a clubhouse with a kitchen, warm shower and toilets. It wasn’t a far walk.. The other campers were very courteous. We happen to come on the last weekend and they were having a potluck. I love being nude in nature. This was perfect!

We camped on Cathy and John’s property at “our Most Convenient Woods” and had a fantastic time!! The campsite was exactly as described, tucked away in the woods right next to the course (perfect place to practice some putts). We could see the stars at night and enjoy wildlife while also enjoying a few rounds—absolute paradise. Cathy and John were awesome hosts who invited us to join them for Saturday Tags, but, unfortunately, we were a little slow moving and started a bit late. We caught up with them on the course and they gave us some history of the property as well as some pointers for how to shoot some of the more difficult holes. Can’t wait to go back and again and play a round with these awesome people on their beautiful land. Definitely a must book!!

Weekend Trip to Paper Mill Pines Glamping Getaway

Such a beautiful, peaceful glamping spot. This was our 2nd time visiting and were again so happy with everything...a great place to get away from it all!!! We enjoyed sitting by the fire, sharing stories, and making memories... and SMORES!! Donna provides everything you need to have an amazing time!! We will definitely visit again!!
