Weekend Trip to Conowingo Creek Campsite
We had a lovely fall weekend glamping on Gini’s land. The site is beautiful and well maintained and the tent is very comfortable and filled with everything you could want even for cold weather camping. Gini’s hospitality was also exceptional (going out of their way to provide extra blankets and hot water bottles to one of our party who camped in a tent), and the land is perfect to walk through. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom safely. Will definitely be back!

Female solo campers, this is the spot. The site was tucked between garden plots and paths were lined with solar lights. It was private enough to feel private, but the owner’s house with the attached bathroom was close by. Hosts were a super nice young couple. I had no worries if randos showing up, and no creepy wildlife. Just goats and cows and a cute little creek. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a safe, quiet night or two

Quiet and peaceful spot all by it's self. Easy to find and back into. There are lots of deer and you will have horses for neighbors :) I stayed a couple nights here as I was hiking near by. There are 3 other Hipcamp sites on the property and even with all of them booked, it was still very quiet. I would stay again if were in the area. Thanks for having us!

Great site. Would definitely return. Site is mostly soft grass with some small gravel on the high traffic areas, plenty of space, and right along a nice creek. There's some activity from the public canoe launch nearby, but it's overall nice and private. Only wish would be having the porta potty closer.

My wife and two older dogs loved glamping at Conowingo creek! When they say they take care of everything, they mean it. We definitely overpacked thinking, “surely they won’t have x item, we should bring it from home” but they do have everything except your food, clothes, and toiletries outside of the normal soaps. Being able to let the dogs off leash on the 23 acres and take a dip in the creek made our weekend. It was nice to just connect with each other in nature with ease. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great visit! We enjoyed playing by the creek. The camp site was comfortable with only a slight incline, picnic table and fire pit. At night, there were solar lights to help us see, a jug of water to put out the fire, and of course access to a bathroom with running water. Overall the setup was very thoughtfully put together. We had a great stay and ADORE the animals. We hope to come back again next year!

We loved tent camping at Creekside Grill! The open lean-to structure was the perfect place for stashing our cooler and bags so that we had plenty of extra room in our tent. It would also be very handy in case of rain. We took the kayaks and spent a few hours exploring downstream. The water was cold and clear and deep enough for a nice swim on a hot day. We booked a Sunday and Monday and walked down to the Beer Garden in Sunday afternoon for live music, drinks, and dinner from a food truck. The campsite was far enough from the Beer Garden that the noise wouldn't have bothered us. It was so quiet and peaceful, especially at night with moonlight shining on the water and the sound of an owl up in the trees. We also saw a heron, a local swan, and a hawk in the tree above the porta potty. Also, the Porta Potty was very clean! We will definitely come back for a longer stay next summer.

We stayed two nights, and the experience far surpassed our expectations. I've been camping all my life, and this is one of our favorite, most memorable camping experience ever. The feeling of peace and serenity was amazing. We both unplugged from regular life and relaxed so much that it was hard to remember my password when I returned to work at the end of our trip! Some highlights: -Friendly, helpful, communicative (but inobtrusive) hosts -The gift of whoopie pies was a nice nod to the local Pennsylvania Dutch culture -Lots of tools and amenities, such as cooking pots and multiple flashlights and candles -The wide, well maintained paths and walking trails were appreciated -The woodchip base at the campsite kept everything neat and dry -The amount of privacy was unmatched -Being able to let our dog off leash was a plus. It made us so happy to see our dog bounding around with a happy grin on her face - The creek was next level and our dog enjoyed splashing around and chasing sticks -The hammock by the creek is a beautiful little peaceful spot -The fairy lights that came on at dusk were both beautiful and practical, as were the tiki torches & torches made out of repurposed wine bottles -We had mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, and they left us a jar of Hershey kisses, a card, and flowers -A regular fire ring is available as well as one with a cooking grate that can be raised, lowered, or moved to the side -A supply of firewood right at the campsite 10/10 stay

Turtle Ridge farm is 35 acres of scenic beauty in historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. Secluded and private. Hiking and fishing available. Turtle Ridge Farms borders the Brandywine River and about 1,000 acres of woodland park. We try to be a unique host farm experience. We will have contactless check in available upon arrival. Campers will fill out the registration form on the front porch and then go to their site. A note about fishing. Fishing is available in the Brandywine River behind our farm, in Hibernia Park, at Springton Manor catch and release pond, and also at Chambers Lake in the park. 35-acre bucolic farm with goats, sheep, chickens and geese. Sites are near our one acre pond and each site has a fire pit. Our farm borders the 1,000-acre Hibernia Park with its historic mansion, extensive woodlands, hiking trails and along the beautiful Brandywine river. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail. There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located 5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each site has a small private firepit and picnic table. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate. How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably. There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver. Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area. Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants . Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distileries and vineyards all within a short drive of historic Flemington.

Just a couple weekends left in our 2025 season! The colors are peak and weather is perfect for a quick stay. Please read full description for info on the sites we have available. We purchased our dream homestead in 2020, and we would love to share it with others as we build it to become bountiful and as self-sustaining as possible. It is not in the middle of nowhere....it's in the middle of everywhere! Learn more about this land: Camp next to a peaceful trickling creek just outside Phoenixville and Kimberton. We are a suburban oasis, surrounded by a little bit of everything.  Our homestead has plenty of activity including kids, dogs, and chickens, bees and goats! We have a fully wooded area available to explore across the creek, and weather dependent- the creek is a great place to stay cool. You'll see lots of growing fruit trees in our developing orchard and we are happy to share our vision for this beautiful land! We have two campsites available for you to choose between for your stay. Both sites are along the creek, however, one has a view of some nearby houses and is a short walk to the parking spot [Creekside]. The other site is more secluded, past the tree line, but a further walk from where you are able to park. [Hillside] If needed, we are happy to lend you a wagon to haul your gear. Please let us know if you have questions and your preference of site. We have a cabin-like bathroom and partial kitchen you will have access to during your stay. We always have cold water available for purchase in the fridge. There is trail access easily accessible from our home (the closest is approximately 1 mile), for paved or natural trail exploration. We are are a great stopping point for cyclists enjoying the area. It's a short drive to downtown Phoenixville with some of the best breweries around. Phoenixville is home to a great farmers market on Saturday mornings and numerous festivals. Also, close-by is the lovely quaint village of Kimberton, home of the best organic grocery store and many opportunities for hiking and small farms.

This is a place to relax, to get in touch with nature and reconnect with the people you love. Spring Mount Adventures is nearby. The Perkiomen Creek Trail is only a mile away. Crawfish, sycamore trees, foxes, pileated woodpeckers, and more! Caring for the land: please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. Note on dogs: we run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans. Food recs: Raw Replenish in downtown Schwenksville has healthy smoothies and salads. Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Trouble's End brewing is 15 minutes away in Collegeville, with delicious beer and a Spicy Chicken sandwich.

Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.
