Evensong Farm is a preserved historic farm adjacent to the Antietam National Battlefield. We have set up two, almost identical, sites on a 60 acre parcel of our farm which is very private for our campers, but allows access to the lovely Antietam Creek. The sites themselves are about 500 feet apart so, while they maintain privacy when booked by different parties, can also be booked together for group stays.
We have been hosting campers at our "glampsites" since 2021. Each off-grid site has a 12x16 platform with a 10x12 canvas side wall tent, a firepit and chairs, a cooking area with a grill and sink for washing up, a picnic table and benches, and a private bathroom with a composting toilet and solar shower bag. The main tent is set up for 2 people, although 4 is possible. The sites can handle a max of 12 people, with the use of additional tents (BYO or you can set up some of ours). We provide an electronic camp guide to all of our campers that include our recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as camping tips and other handy info.
Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed, side tables, and a cafe table and chair set. We have put down foam flooring and a carpet for your comfort and provide numerous battery powered lights, lanterns and fans. In cold months we can add a propane heater to keep the chill away. We also have some games, maps of the area, decks of cards, and a fire extinguisher.
Stepping outside the tent you'll find our long rainfly creates a covered porch where you can relax on our provided chairs. There are additional chairs around the firepit and each firepit has a cooking grate so you can cook over your campfire. We provide one bundle of firewood (including kindling) per night with your reservation. We do sell additional firewood, if needed.
In our kitchen area you will find a picnic table and chairs, 5 gallons of drinking water, a clean up table that includes a foot operated pump sink with an additional 5 gallons of washing water, a grill (one site has propane and the other has charcoal), trash and recycling bins, grill tools, lighters, plus dish and hand soaps.
Our farm is a mile and a half from the town of Sharpsburg, MD, home of the Antietam National Battlefield (and Nutter's Ice Cream Shop). You will find the Appalachian Trail to our east and the C&O Canal to our west (10 minute drive to either).

This riverfront, fully equipped, beautifully crafted treehouse is not your average child's treehouse, but kids are certainly welcome. Walk up the easy 14 steps into this A Frame tiny house and you'll be surprised at the roominess. Inside you'll discover a full kitchen, full bathroom with shower, living area with sofa bed sectional, dining area, and loft with a queen bed. Step out on the deck, just a stone's throw from the river and listen to the sounds below of the gurgling moving water over the rocks. Move down below the treehouse to find another huge deck with a hot tub, relaxing seating, and a table for dining outside. But that's not all; step off that deck to a fire pit and steps leading to the river. The river is great for swimming, fishing, and boating and we even supply a canoe and kayaks.
Much of the treehouse was built with wood from the property, including the poplar floor joists, rafters, and siding. Inside you'll find several different species of beautiful wood, most from the property, including black walnut, oak, ash, cherry, and more. The two giant Tulip Poplar trees that supports the treehouse continue to grow and in the early summer produce the tulip like flowers.
If you're up for exercise or adventure, just across the river is the H&BT Bike Trail, which is now 14 miles long. A short drive takes you to a trailhead or if you're just looking for a hike on the trail, canoe across and climb up the short hill to the trail. Also across the river is a 2600 acre Pennsylvania State Game Land and 2000 foot high Kimber Mountain; if you're looking for a challenging and primitive hike, climb the mountain or work your way up Kimber Run, a small brook with many small waterfalls. Adventure abounds near Treehouse Waters.
There are also many other things to do in Bedford and Huntington Counties. The Raystown Lake is less than 20 miles away and the county seat, the small, charming town of Bedfrod is also only 20 miles away. Take a look at the Bedfrod County Tourist site for more activities.

Weekend Trip to Sistermoon Farm
We originally booked our stay for a long weekend but were rained out the second day of our trip. We were well protected the first night, but the interior of the tent did get quite damp as the intensity of the rain increased. We decided not to extend our stay. Maria’s accommodations were thoughtful and well curated. She provided over and above what I normally expect from similar camp set ups. Location is perfect from both harpers ferry and Shepardstown, we were able to explore both despite the poor weather.

My daughter (11 yo) and I stayed at the Fern Yabin. Andrea met us sooner after arriving to tell us about the Yabin and the area. She was very welcoming and helpful. The Yabin is fully appointed with comforts: beds, couch, electric, hand pump toilet, running water (tub, kitchen and bathroom sink, outdoor shower), breakfast table, outdoor seating, fire pit, indoor wood fire stove. The Yabin is in a lovely, wooden, and private area of her property. It is close to Harper’s Ferry, Maryland Heights, and the AT. We had a great time, just wish it was longer.

We absolutely loved our short getaway at Fern Yabin! ❤️ Of all the places I’ve ever stayed, I have to say this was by far the cleanest. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets smelled amazing, and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and even lots of little bathtub goodies—always a win!
Andrea, the owner, is close by if you need anything, but she’s super friendly and gives you plenty of privacy. We absolutely loved the hippie vibe of the place. I even enjoyed a morning of yoga and sun salutations, which was the perfect way to start the day. 🧘♀️🌿
My husband, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed the copious amounts of pawpaws! 😂 I’m assuming Andrea noticed, because after chatting with her, I looked over and realized my husband had pawpaw flesh ALL over his face. Apparently, he was really enjoying himself! 🤣
We definitely won’t be strangers. We’ll be back in April for morel season and can’t wait! 🍄🌿

I loved staying at the summer kitchen because of the beautiful country views, countless amenities, wonderful host, and the peacefulness of the land in general. Bathroom and shower are very nice and the seperate kitchen area allowed me and my partner to cook several elaborate meals. Tam helped us with whatever we needed and she made this trip perfect. Weekend Trip to Sacred Roots Herbal Sanctuary
This camp setup is on the same level and arguably better than treehouses / cabins I've stayed at in California. The site has everything you need, and nothing that you don't, specifically a picnic table sheltered under the treehouse, prep station, generous fire pit area steps from your home base at camp. PLUS there is an adorable meditation hut a short walk from here, and other things I didn't even get to because I was there for one night. I came here form the Old Roman Bath House in Berkeley Springs, and cannot recommend that combo enough.
11/10 experience. I definitely want to come back, and to book two nights next time!

We really enjoyed staying at the treehouse. Treehouse is a great facility on a lovely spot right next to the river. All the amenities were great, from the fully equipped kitchen, the comfy bed, the porches and the hot tub. It was the perfect get away for our anniversary and our first experience with “glamping”. Thank you Bruce!

Group trip
Well equipped campsite with great views! The 4 of us slept comfortably here in the 2 A-frames, which were clean and more spacious than expected. The site is very peaceful and secluded, and we had a good view of the night sky for the meteor shower. It was also fun to watch the curious alpacas on the other side of the fence. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

1 night at Beespoke Farms
I had a great one night trip with family. Michael was very responsive and welcoming. We enjoyed the farm and visiting with the animals. Can't wait to come back when its cooler out.

1 night at Fern Yabin @ Tend to Me Retreat
Andrea is a wonderful host. She greeted us upon arrival and explained all the features of “Fern Yabin”. The camping spot and Yurt match the description on Hip Camp. I plan on visiting again in the late fall.
