The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest. In October, the surrounding hardwoods turn, and you’ll have a front-row seat to peak Wayne County foliage from your Adirondack chair or the waterside fire circle.
Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You’ll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we’re happy to shuttle guests and gear.
At the waterfront, there’s a fire circle, Adirondack chairs, and multiple watercraft: canoe, kayaks, and a rowboat, all with paddles and life jackets. Fishing is excellent in both ponds — bass, pickerel, crappie, and panfish are active throughout the season. Wildlife watching from the pond edge is excellent: bald eagles, osprey, beavers at work, deer, ducks, and turtles are regular visitors. On a clear night, the sky above the pond is as dark as it gets this close to the Poconos.
Inside the canvas bell tent you’ll find a real queen-size bed made up with sheets, pillows, and blankets, LED camp lighting, and a footlocker stocked with cooking essentials: cast iron skillet, pot, utensils, and dinnerware. The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. Optional extras include a propane Buddy Heater, two additional cots, and firewood bundles.
The camp is tucked behind our home, so you’ll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We’re nearby if you need anything, and we mean that. Past guests have called this the best campsite they’ve ever stayed at. We aim to keep it that way and ask you to practice Leave No Trace to help.
Dogs welcome off-leash on the property. Season runs April through first snow.

A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door.
The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and 30-40-50 electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool with shower house (summer only), a playground, picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. No store or services.
Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit.

We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania.
We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by.
On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year!
We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods.
There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife.
Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes).
We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in.
Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular.
Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

Choose your own campsite; area is amply spaced for several tents. Mowed paths in camping section, with both sunny and shady spots available on both sides of stream.
Campfire ring, water spigot (private drilled well) and electric available on the property. Neighbor cottage partially visible, but our property is pretty secluded and private. Picnic tables and chairs available. The lake and dock area and the boats, gazebo, and picnic tables are all communal.
Well behaved pets okay, leashes may be required.

Our folks bought this property in 1953, and it is still used and maintained by our family. We feel blessed to be able to share it with our children and grandchildren, and offer it to others who may not have such a peaceful and serene spot to relax and unwind.
Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area.
Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream, farther from lake front. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose.
There is no bathroom. (The cottage is private.) You must pack it out, or bring your own portable toilet with disposable liners.
Trash and recycling cans are provided. No shower. But the lake is great for swimming, and very clean!

Such a great place! The cabin is bigger inside than we expected. Beds and even the sofa were comfortable. Loft is super low but was fun for the kids. Theres plenty of inside games to try but bring your own outside games. Kitchen had pretty much everything. Fire pit was great and having local dry wood to use was definitely key. Creek walk was super fun, we went every day it wasnt raining. Spent one day at Lake Tobyhanna nearby. Feels like youre in the woods but Aldi is 10 minutes away. We would absolutely come back. Saw 2 fox, 1 salamander, many slugs, butterflies and caterpillars. Wish we could take the fresh air home :)

Beautiful campsite on a lake. Lots of room to spread out. There is a picnic area with a picnic table and then a separate area nearby with a fire ring, both with views of the poorly. Very well maintained. You do need to carry your gear a relatively short distance from your car to reach the campsite. Super quiet and peaceful, except when a camp down the road was blasting music for a dance party on the Saturday night of our stay. There is another campsite owned by the same host a bit away. We reserved both to ensure more privacy, which I recommend doing. Brent and his assistants were friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. Great place and would definitely recommend!

Super easy to find and only 20 mins from main Ricketts Glen entrance. Car camper and the parking was flat and private enough; The main road is next to the spot but there wasn't much traffic.
Karen came out to greet upon arriving and was super helpful with helping with any questions and letting me know more about the spot.

Late to reviewing but this is my most favorite place! We left some mugs for all to enjoy with our favorite memories and our most precious, Frank. Ordered them specifically to leave at the cabin. I look forward to spending time here every year as it’s a little spot of heaven. The lake is perfect even in temperature. The cabin has everything you could need. The spot is incredible. Don’t pass this place up on small “imperfections” you will never find a better spot than here. Tucked away in northern PA.

We had a great time at this place! Took us a minute to figure out how everything worked, but we were honestly impressed with the number of amenities on site. (The keg to heat up the shower water is ingenious btw!) This spot is clearly well cared for and you can tell that there have been many updates and improvements over the years. We had a lovely stay and even found some chanterelles in the woods nearby! (We made sure to avoid the game lands). Thank you for opening this little haven out to the public!

2 nights at Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
Sunset Shore Cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend trip. Everything was neat and clean. There were multiple towels and washcloths for use to use, and all the silverware/pots/utensils and supplies we would ever need. The lake is peaceful and quiet, and the inflatable boats and dock are in great shape. We even lit the tiki torches going down the path at night. We purchased wifi as well and it worked great, I would certainly love to stay here again!

This was exactly what we needed on this trip. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, everything from the landscaping to the pond made the entire place feel like our own little private escape in nature.
The pond was incredibly clean, and we didn’t get bitten by a single mosquito the entire time! We loved having the paddle boat, fire pit, grill, and hot tub right there.The adorable swing by the pond and the little bench where you could sit with your morning coffee. There’s really nothing better than waking up to the pond or relaxing in the hot tub while looking out over the water.
Even though there are a few houses in the general area, you would never know it. They did such an amazing job with the landscaping, bushes, flowers and trees that you can’t see the neighboring homes at all. It felt incredibly private. There’s even a little wooded area to explore, which made it feel even more like you were tucked away in nature.
The cabin itself had everything we needed. The bed was SUPER comfortable, with just the right amount of pillows, and we loved all the thoughtful little touches throughout the property.
Between the pond(we caught fish), hot tub (super clean!) , paddle boat, fire pit,outside mood lights,projector,great WiFi,beautiful landscaping, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere, this place really gave us the relaxing getaway we were looking for. It was one of those places where you immediately wish you had booked another night! ( Also my dog loved it )

4 nights at The Dam House At Beaver Pond
I would definitely recommend this campsite. It's especially perfect if you live to fish. The campsite is set up perfectly and it's very clean. The tent itself is roomy and the bed is comfortable. If time permits I would definitely like to plan on coming back next year.

Weekend Trip to Daydreamin on Dyberry Creek
The property is a right after the bridge over dyberry creek, with signs saying do not enter for hikers and a small bridge. There is also a large cart to being in supplies which was very helpful.
Beautiful property and amazing creek to float in. Outhouse is nice, tent is great, and theres an inflated raft to use. Town is just 8 mins away with a lot to do!

Great full hookup site! Very friendly hosts and spotless camp spot with picnic table and fire ring. Very quiet. Not too far from Bethel Woods where we saw a couple shows. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous. Brent was great, he showed us around and the various amenities. Each site has its own toilet which is very clean and does not smell. We could occasionally notice that there were people at the other site but it is pretty wooded and private.
