From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on Splat Action Paintball is just five minutes away. Spring time offers a small pond (please see below), but the Lewis river is close by with tons of recreational activities (swimming, fishing, hiking, wineries, etc.). There are only two sites, far from each other. It is a rural property with some farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river, so, be aware there are cars that drive through the one lane road. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. Privacy is better here than at a public campground and it's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This is a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read each site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the sites. I did install a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me and if I haven't responded within a half hour please feel free to knock on my door). Site 1 does have a camp toilet (composting bucket with seat and lid) because it is mostly a tent site (some small RVs and trailers can fit). Site 2 is for RVs (and tents with them) that already have a toilet so if you are a tent camper and want to book this site you will need to bring your own camp toilet. Dogs are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year). Currently, it is dry.

Please read the whole description and understand the car/trailer length limits before booking.  32' (thirty-two feet)  means car and trailer, not just the trailer.   Smaller trailers like the teardrops or fifteen footers can be backed in easily, but if you're over 32 feet with vehicle the space to maneuver is too small.      Your camp site is under tall fir trees on fairly level ground. The site is next to a county road (see pictures), but traffic is very light. Next to your camp site is a 12x20 foot deck by a clear pond with beautiful trout and a running creek. A large picnic table is provided. It is a semi private location as the owners (us) also enjoy the pond and creek, and use the driveway. You can see the main house from the campsite but it's very quite.  There is absolutely NO fishing allowed in the pond!  The large trout in the pond are for your viewing enjoyment. 25cent fish food dispenser.      There is a clean privy; it's not fancy but it works and we use it when we're working outdoors.   We think you'll find it quite acceptable.  It's only a few yards from your camp site.      There is a fresh water spigot between the main house and the privy to fill water bottles or water for cooking.  Just lift the handle for water to flow.  Pour gray water in bushes away from the camp site.      Hipcampers ARE WELCOME to walk our big garden.  Simply walk past the privy, over the wooden bridge and through the white gate to see flower gardens, ponds, fruit trees, and berry bushes.   We love to share our space with you, however, we ask that you limit your garden walk to one time so that your walking experience is balanced with our desire for privacy. Keep gates closed and stay out of sheep paddocks.      Children:  This is a wonderful and fun place for children, but the waterwheel and ponds deserve your attention.  Keep children safely away from the waterwheel, and be next to them when viewing it.  You must be diligent if your children don't have experience with open water.  Please do not allow them to throw our landscaping rocks into the ponds as I have to dig them all out later.  For some reason kids love to throw rocks into ponds!  Just down the road only 100 yards, is a school playground with swings, basketball courts, tennis courts and a huge field to play on!  So bring your frisbee, soccer ball or any other field toys.      Don't leave food out at night!  That could attract unwanted furry visitors.  There is a healthy population of bear and cougar in this area.  These animals generally stay away from humans, but you should carry a horn or bear spray when hiking in the woods of the Columbia Gorge.        Go right to your camp site.  We may come greet you when you arrive if we're home, but then leave you alone to your own peace and quiet.       There is parking at the campsite for two vehicles side by side, or a car and trailer.   We may accommodate a third vehicle with prearrangement.      Camper Trailers:   The driveway is circular, so you can pull in at either entrance, get out  and take a look at how best to back your trailer into its spot.      Live music at your campsite is an experience we offer.  Great for kids!

There are only two sites, far from each other. It is a rural property with some farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river, so, be aware there are cars that drive through the one lane road. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. Privacy is better here than at a public campground and it's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This is a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read each site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the sites. I did install a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me and if I haven't responded within a half hour please feel free to knock on my door). Site 1 does have a camp toilet (composting bucket with seat and lid) because it is mostly a tent site (some small RVs and trailers can fit). Site 2 is for RVs (and tents with them) that already have a toilet so if you are a tent camper and want to book this site you will need to bring your own camp toilet. Dogs are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year). Currently, it is dry.

Please read the whole description and understand the car/trailer length limits before booking.  32' (thirty-two feet)  means car and trailer, not just the trailer.   Smaller trailers like the teardrops or fifteen footers can be backed in easily, but if you're over 32 feet with vehicle the space to maneuver is too small.      Your camp site is under tall fir trees on fairly level ground. The site is next to a county road (see pictures), but traffic is very light. Next to your camp site is a 12x20 foot deck by a clear pond with beautiful trout and a running creek. A large picnic table is provided. It is a semi private location as the owners (us) also enjoy the pond and creek, and use the driveway. You can see the main house from the campsite but it's very quite.  There is absolutely NO fishing allowed in the pond!  The large trout in the pond are for your viewing enjoyment. 25cent fish food dispenser.      There is a clean privy; it's not fancy but it works and we use it when we're working outdoors.   We think you'll find it quite acceptable.  It's only a few yards from your camp site.      There is a fresh water spigot between the main house and the privy to fill water bottles or water for cooking.  Just lift the handle for water to flow.  Pour gray water in bushes away from the camp site.      Hipcampers ARE WELCOME to walk our big garden.  Simply walk past the privy, over the wooden bridge and through the white gate to see flower gardens, ponds, fruit trees, and berry bushes.   We love to share our space with you, however, we ask that you limit your garden walk to one time so that your walking experience is balanced with our desire for privacy. Keep gates closed and stay out of sheep paddocks.      Children:  This is a wonderful and fun place for children, but the waterwheel and ponds deserve your attention.  Keep children safely away from the waterwheel, and be next to them when viewing it.  You must be diligent if your children don't have experience with open water.  Please do not allow them to throw our landscaping rocks into the ponds as I have to dig them all out later.  For some reason kids love to throw rocks into ponds!  Just down the road only 100 yards, is a school playground with swings, basketball courts, tennis courts and a huge field to play on!  So bring your frisbee, soccer ball or any other field toys.      Don't leave food out at night!  That could attract unwanted furry visitors.  There is a healthy population of bear and cougar in this area.  These animals generally stay away from humans, but you should carry a horn or bear spray when hiking in the woods of the Columbia Gorge.        Go right to your camp site.  We may come greet you when you arrive if we're home, but then leave you alone to your own peace and quiet.       There is parking at the campsite for two vehicles side by side, or a car and trailer.   We may accommodate a third vehicle with prearrangement.      Camper Trailers:   The driveway is circular, so you can pull in at either entrance, get out  and take a look at how best to back your trailer into its spot.      Live music at your campsite is an experience we offer.  Great for kids!

Chris and Beth met and started dating in Indianapolis in 2009 where both were working on their graduate education. During their first date, Chris announced his goal of developing a vineyard and making wine. As the relationship evolved, Chris worked toward the goal by researching viticulture, attending classes and investigating potential vineyard sites. In summer of 2011, Chris and Beth got married and dove into the wine industry when they purchased a majestic 62 acre property in the foothills of the coastal mountain range in Yamhill County. Once an old homestead. Learn more about this land:      Hello Hipcampers.  We do NOT sell firewood. Bring your own. Please read the whole description and understand the car/trailer length limits before booking.  32' (thirty-two feet)  means car and trailer, not just the trailer.   Smaller trailers like the teardrops or fifteen footers can be backed in easily, but if you're over 32 feet with vehicle the space to maneuver is too small.      Your camp site is under tall fir trees on fairly level ground. The site is next to a county road (see pictures), but traffic is very light. Next to your camp site is a 12x20 foot deck by a clear pond with beautiful trout and a running creek. A large picnic table is provided. It is a semi private location as the owners (us) also enjoy the pond and creek, and use the driveway. You can see the main house from the campsite but it's very quite.  There is absolutely NO fishing allowed in the pond!  The large trout in the pond are for your viewing enjoyment. 25cent fish food dispenser.      There is a clean privy; it's not fancy but it works and we use it when we're working outdoors.   We think you'll find it quite acceptable.  It's only a few yards from your camp site.      There is a fresh water spigot between the main house and the privy to fill water bottles or water for cooking.  Just lift the handle for water to flow.  Pour gray water in bushes away from the camp site.      Hipcampers ARE WELCOME to walk our big garden.  Simply walk past the privy, over the wooden bridge and through the white gate to see flower gardens, ponds, fruit trees, and berry bushes.   We love to share our space with you, however, we ask that you limit your garden walk to one time so that your walking experience is balanced with our desire for privacy. Keep gates closed and stay out of sheep paddocks.      Children:  This is a wonderful and fun place for children, but the waterwheel and ponds deserve your attention.  Keep children safely away from the waterwheel, and be next to them when viewing it.  You must be diligent if your children don't have experience with open water.  Please do not allow them to throw our landscaping rocks into the ponds as I have to dig them all out later.  For some reason kids love to throw rocks into ponds!  Just down the road only 100 yards, is a school playground with swings, basketball courts, tennis courts and a huge field to play on!  So bring your frisbee, soccer ball or any other field toys.      Don't leave food out at night!  That could attract unwanted furry visitors.  There is a healthy population of bear and cougar in this area.  These animals generally stay away from humans, but you should carry a horn or bear spray when hiking in the woods of the Columbia Gorge.        Go right to your camp site.  We may come greet you when you arrive if we're home, but then leave you alone to your own peace and quiet.       There is parking at the campsite for two vehicles side by side, or a car and trailer.   We may accommodate a third vehicle with prearrangement.      Camper Trailers:   The driveway is circular, so you can pull in at either entrance, get out  and take a look at how best to back your trailer into its spot.      Live music at your campsite is an experience we offer.  Great for kids!

Burke and Shannon are fantastic and friendly hosts, who live in an absolutely stunning location. This area is amazing in its beauty and outdoor activities, and they know some good spots to check out (thanks for the Salmon River trail tip!!). The RV spot was easy to back into, spacious, and had water/power in a convenient location. I will definitely be checking in the future to see if they are available when I’m in the area twice each year!

First off we felt very welcomed. We loved the livestock, the river, the amenities and all the special details they put into this place. The lights around the campsites, the clean bathrooms and showers, the firepits, the water, the shared common space. All the wildlife was incredible also. We saw a coyote, deer, bald eagles, chipmunks and a common Merganser. Such a great place! We will be back.

Our family had such a great time on the river. Even though we got some rain everyday we put our paddle boards in the water from the dock and played. The river is super peaceful and you get to see and hear lots of birds. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves even. Really nice to have the provided Adirondack chairs for around the campfire and watching the river too. Hosts were always very quick to respond and helpful. Road and property clean, well maintained and so was the port-o-potty on site. We even visited their horses to say hello for change of scene one afternoon. Mostly though we relaxed in the camp area and enjoyed the river. Will return for sure.
