No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility.  Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. We absolutely love Cathryn's beautiful hipcamp on the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We went in late October so the weather was chilly and it rained a lot but we made the best of it. We had the entire campground to ourselves and just a few steps away from the most breathtaking river scene. My son enjoyed fishing and saw many huge salmon but unfortunately he didn't catch one next time perhaps. We have a 31ft RV and our friends had a smaller RV there are no hookups but that's how we love and enjoy camping. It is very peaceful with wild turkeys that ventured into our camps. There are no strict rules on dogs off leash which are pups love to explore and run around and frolic in the water it was amazing. Cathryn came by once to introduce herself and to answer any questions that we may have had. She also mentioned that they are going to do some improvements to the camp to get down to the water more accessible. Its all a work in process but it's beautiful just the way it is. We can't wait to book for the summer because there are many deep pools there to swim in. The only suggestion that I would have would be to move the front gate further down so that when you pull out of the gate you're not on the main road where it could potentially be dangerous. To be honest I really don't want to say too many great things about this place lol because we would love it to remain a secret 😜 It is definitely in the books for springtime. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We got to explore the surrounding area on foot through the trails and my girls rode their bikes around the cabin. Jay came to greet us and let us know if we needed anything, to just ask. He was so friendly. I really can’t wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to Bay Point Landing

Aesthetic and well positioned glamping in Coos Bay! The amenities were great - we especially enjoyed the public patio areas and thought the architecture was beautiful - this would be a really cool spot for a smaller wedding reception or event!!! My only gripe was the blinds on the windows - we had to open the windows to cool down the space but it was pretty windy most of the time and would cause the blinds to slam against the windows constantly, which was too loud to ignore. Some more landscaping between the cabins would be great but I can see that trees are planted and it will just take a bit of time. Really enjoyed having a fire in our fire pit and watching the sun set from our porch. Bed was very comfortable, great water pressure, cute interiors - overall, amazing place!

Mosswood Forest was quiet and pleasant. We had a long driving day, so we arrived pretty late at night. They accommodated our late arrival and showed us to a flat place to park our trailer but the barn. It was fun to explore the property, the saloon and stage area before we hit the road the next day.
