One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek.
When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance.
Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive.
Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided.
Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town.
Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails.

You are also located very near the mouth of the mighty Umpqua River, one of the best salmon fisheries in the state. Easy access to the coastal dunes is available up and down HWY 101 both North and South. Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town.
Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails.
Wildlife enthusiasts are just minutes away from the Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area on HWY 38. This large herd can be seen daily grazing in the meadows.

This is a very nice spot, especially if you want convenient access to the Eugene area! The spot itself is a simple, no-frills flat gravel pad nestled in the trees on the side of a hill. It is private and relatively quiet — there is a small amount of distant road noise, but as someone who is a light sleeper, I slept great here. Cindy is a super responsive host. She got back to me almost immediately when I requested to book — very much appreciated! I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend it to anyone considering staying here!

I winter camped for a week, weather was wet and foggy, but there was high ground to set up out of the draining water. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, even in the off season. River access was great and a lot of wildlife to enjoy watching. Great stay!

DD’s little piece of paradise is a perfect place to rest your head! I’m so lucky to have found this beautiful and safe place to set up camp - the view in the morning was absolutely spectacular! We absolutely love Cathryn's beautiful hipcamp on the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We went in late October so the weather was chilly and it rained a lot but we made the best of it. We had the entire campground to ourselves and just a few steps away from the most breathtaking river scene. My son enjoyed fishing and saw many huge salmon but unfortunately he didn't catch one next time perhaps. We have a 31ft RV and our friends had a smaller RV there are no hookups but that's how we love and enjoy camping. It is very peaceful with wild turkeys that ventured into our camps. There are no strict rules on dogs off leash which are pups love to explore and run around and frolic in the water it was amazing. Cathryn came by once to introduce herself and to answer any questions that we may have had. She also mentioned that they are going to do some improvements to the camp to get down to the water more accessible. Its all a work in process but it's beautiful just the way it is. We can't wait to book for the summer because there are many deep pools there to swim in. The only suggestion that I would have would be to move the front gate further down so that when you pull out of the gate you're not on the main road where it could potentially be dangerous. To be honest I really don't want to say too many great things about this place lol because we would love it to remain a secret 😜 It is definitely in the books for springtime. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We enjoyed our stay on Jamie's land. The property is beautiful. Totally surrounded by mature forest and a large lawn with grazing deer. The RV pads were very well constructed and required no leveling. Jamie came to meet us right away to explain the hookups, give directions to forest and creek, wifi password, and even brought treats for our pup. We weren't able to take advantage of the sitting area because of the rain, but it was a nice space. We would recommend this property to other travelers in the area.

What an amazing place to stay! James and Linda go above and beyond to make you feel safe and attend to your needs, while giving you your privacy and space. Their land is absolutely stunning, the creek has it's own waterfall (and feels more like a river), and the camp spots are easy to back a trailer into and are nice and level. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!
