Overview

On the Banks of the winding Deschutes River, Sunriver is more than just a ritzy resort town. Camping here puts you in the heart of the High Cascades. Wild rivers, mountain lakes, and volcanic landscapes wait around every corner. This is central Oregon at it's finest. Outdoor enthusiasts come from across the country to enjoy year-round adventure near Sunriver. Horseback riding, kayaking, fishing for rainbow trout—check! Right in town, world-class golf courses and nearly 40 miles of paved biking trails invite you to unwind and breathe in the cool mountain air. Around Sunriver, you find RV parks with all the trimmings—hot tubs, swimming pools, you name it. If you'd rather surround yourself with the Great Outdoors, make camp in the Deschutes National Forest. Alpine campgrounds and 200 miles of hiking trails are nestled beneath snow-capped peaks. Speaking of peaks, Mt. Bachelor is one you don't want to miss. It's a hub of outdoor recreation, including world-class downhill skiing in the winter. In the summer, it's a choice hiking spot. A few miles south of Sunriver, you across LaPine State Park. It's a quiet getaway for RV camping, tent camping, or getting cozy in a heated cabin. Enjoy some hiking and mountain biking, or try fly fishing on the upper Deschutes River.
