Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Close to the main road but very quiet. Nice ambience with the string lights and sounds of the creek. Saw a few deer during my stay. Happened to be rainy during my stay but the big trees offered some cover and the covered bridge was another nice place to stay dry. Bathroom was clean.

Honest solo traveler review: DD’s little piece of paradise is a perfect place to rest your head! I’m so lucky to have found this beautiful and safe place to set up camp - the view in the morning was absolutely spectacular! Her spot isn’t too far from a gas station, a pub and has service!!! Weekend Trip to Smith River Store & Tavern

Beautiful location on the Smith River with easy access drive-in site in my van. Each site had a picnic table. There is a small store with food items for sale but not much remained although my visit was at the end of the fishing season. Well stocked bar with plenty of brew selection. This Hip-camp is 15-20 minutes from Reedsport which is a good location for any needed business in the city of Reedsport. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

The space was gorgeous arriving after dark, (though make sure you bring enough lighting, the stairs can be a trip hazzard if youre not careful) and absolutely beautiful to explore in the morning. My pup loved the close creek access, the beautiful bridge, and the fun little nature trail. The facilities were clean and though I didnt have time to use the shower it was nice to have available! Private, safe, beautiful, and exactly the stop we needed on our drive north this year! We will be back! Thanks Marcus for being so responsive and helpful answering questions, the descriptions were thorough and helpful! My last piece of advice is just check for gravel in your tires as you leave, I had a little trouble with some extra sharp ones getting stuck on my way out.

This is one of the best settings (creek, spacious, PRIVATE, charming, clean, fire pit, large picnic table, warm shower, cleanest toilet) and it is beautiful. The covered bridge is cool and super sweet lit up at night. You are also not far from Grants Pass to treat yourself to a meal. We are foodies. We had breakfast at Ma Mosa’s on our way out of town. Highly recommend (if you go on the weekend plan for a possible hour wait- it is worth it). Marcus was friendly and checked-in to make sure we had what we needed.

We had a pleasant, but short stay at Marcus's spot. It's a sweet little spot right on the river not far from I-5. It's in an in-between spot on I-5. Great place to take a break from the road without having to interact with , we'll, anyone! Highly recommend. Be sure to bring your own chairs to sit on.

This is our second stay here and we love it. It is very secluded and private. Our dogs love the creek and there is enough area for them to explore. The bridge is very cool and there is a nice path across the creek for a short walk. This spot is off the beaten path yet very close to Grants Pass. It was nice to have the outdoor shower and there is a porta potty if needed. Marcus is a great host. This will always be our spot when we come to Grants Pass!

1 night at Double DD Roadside River View

Really enjoyed my stay at Deidra’s HIPCAMP spot right on the river. Loved hearing the river as I fell asleep. It was within a short walk to the small downtown area. I’ll be stopping back there the next time I’m in the area. Thank you Diedra and all the grapes you gave me were delicious and the frozen ones were a nice treat on hot days. See you again soon!

Amazing spot! The kids loved petting all the farm animals, and Anna even made them snowcones! The campsite was clean and comfortable, and the water was fantastic — there’s even a natural rock slide that flows into a beautiful swimming hole. We brought our floaties and had the best time. Very very primitive right off the road. We had our 35ft Motor Home we needed nothing else. The water pools were across the street and attracted lots of fun people. The sun was beautiful shining through the shade trees. Comfortable stay.

We loved this spot! So peaceful and beautiful. We were happy to be away from all the crazy Labor Day crowds. The dog was able to use the full length of her cord and have some room to move. We saw deer every day we were there. We drove down to Cape Arago and saw sea lions and seals, that was a check on the bucket list! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us we truly appreciate the break from busy state and private parks.

Weekend Trip to Smith River Store & Tavern

Perfect spot for a quick stop overnight, beautiful location. very well maintained property with so much charm. having the store & tavern is so convenient. Troy even served us fireside our dinner that we ordered… really lovely time. We were camped next to two other sets of campers and we really enjoyed sharing a fire with them. adding to our list of places to stop on the way up the 101. We went for a nice morning walk and watched the cows run through the foggy fields. Also saw an elk on the way in. Definitely recommended this place! if you are seeking a private campsite this may not be for you but if you are open to fireside chats make this a stop! also - we LOVED the dogs on the property, so incredibly sweet.

Nice clean site, easily accessed from Hwy 5. It was the perfect place to spend the night as I traveled along the 5. Marcus is a welcoming host. The covered bridge is a bonus and my dog loved playing in the creek on a warm afternoon. Just lovely.
