Very private wooded area in Brightwood with Sandy River frontage! Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river rapids! No houses, RV's, or other humans are within view! Whether you are camping alone or with a group of 20, you get the whole camp to yourself. No strangers camping nearby or walking by you to get to their sites. Complete privacy! With a picnic table, firepit, and a very clean "deluxe" portable bathroom (clean water sink) on site, your basic camping needs are met. Trash and recycling bins are also present so there is no need to haul away your own trash. Need firewood, fishing gear, or groceries? The Brightwood Store is a short walk away along the riverfront. Skiing/snowboarding, hiking/biking trails, and everything else Mt Hood has to offer are all within a 20 minute drive. *More than 4 cars can be park on site, but it will take some planning and maneuvering. Especially if certain cars need to frequently leave the property and re-enter throughout your stay. Please message me if you have any questions or concerns. *Longer RVs and vehicles can be accommodated, but will require backing up out of the entrance. *Property/site is accessible to wheelchair users, however there is no pavement. *The ground is bumpy in areas despite being relatively flat grade. The road takes you right next to the picnic tables, so the pics should give you a good idea of what to expect.

The Forest Cupcake

1 site · Lodging20 acres · Lyle, WA
This unique place in Lyle, Washington - part of the Columbia River Gorge scenic area - is magical and utterly beautiful. The property is set in a magnificent meadow as far as the eye can see with soft rolling hills, edged up to a deep oak woodland/ponderosa pine forest. Wildlife, stars, trails, and rivers all abound here. We think it is one of the finest, most precious and beautiful places on the planet. For outdoor recreation, this area is a windsurfing and kiteboarding mecca. Mount Adams and Mount Hood, await hikers and skiers, and kayaking is popular on the Klickitat and White Salmon Rivers. Heart-stopping beauty and peacefulness whichever way you turn. You will feel like you have gone to your own little Shangri-La and you will not soon forget the experience. Even sleeping is special here, as you look up into the dome of the yurt and behold the stars, while twinkle lights gently illuminate the interior. We live in a slice of heaven, and we want to share it with others.

Romantic Forest Hide-a-Way

2 sites · Lodging40 acres · White Salmon, WA
💥❣️💥Thrilling Delights of Amazing Northern Lights (5/10 - 5/14*) 💥❣️💥 Largely constructed from materials lovingly and gently harvested on-site, the Yurt at Rivendell is a sanctuary of peace and serenity. A place for rejuvenation and inspiration. The yurt began as a rustic structure utilizing lumber from trees selectively harvested to protect the health of the forest. But, the more Roy worked on the Yurt the more it spoke to him letting him know how to proceed and what it should become -- resulting in this phenomenally peaceful and stress-free wilderness sanctuary where the sun, the moon and the stars wink at you through the gentle undulations of the 100-year-old Douglas Firs Trees or through the ambient ether of the adjoining meadows. Our property is located 1hr and 30 minutes from Mt Hood in Oregon. We are located in White Salmon, Washington. There are enough things to do in White Salmon, including hiking trails, biking trails, white water rafting, waterfalls, and paddling spots to keep you entertained for a weekend, week, or lifetime! NOTE: While we do accept Instant Bookings for both our Tree House and Yurt there may very rarely be a conflict with a booking received earlier from another site when the HipCamp calendar has not been updated to reflect that booking. In that case, we default to the earliest booking and work with the guest to see if there are other dates which will work. *Meteorologists project possible visible Northern Lights through May 14, 2024

The Dirt E Moor

1 site · RV, Tent2 acres · Grass Valley, OR
As you come down the highway, rolling into Grass Valley, you slowly realize you are driving through not just a different town but frame of mind. As a community of farmers and ranchers we move at a different pace. Here at The Dirt E Moor, we want you to be able to experience a piece of that. My partner has grown up in the area, traveled the world, and at the end of it, decided this is where he wanted to raise his family. His parents run the town store, built around 1903. Our children have dug and played in the creek. Bringing in treasures they have found like old horseshoes from where the blacksmith was located. At The Dirt E Moor we have embraced the pioneer spirit and adapted to our climate. We do have all 4 seasons. In the Spring you might just catch me putting in new vegetables beds in the garden, we could have lambs begging for pets, or a new litter of barn kittens running around. Summer will have the working dogs looking for the shady cool spots, the ducks quacking in the sprinkler and bees buzzing in the flowers. Fall will see the cool evening and leaves falling like potato chips, last minute treats stolen by the ewes. And in Winter there is a great peace in laying in a warm blanket watching the snow fall.Learn more about this land:The DirtEMoor is a 2 acre hobby farm located  on the edge of a small town in North Central Oregon. Your campsite is located next to a seasonal creek on the North East corner of the DirtEmoor with easy access parking next to site. Grass Valley is often used as a Base-Camp for Hunters, Fisherpeople, Rafters, Racecar Drivers, Rockhounds, Hikers, Bikers and Skiers to explore our 3 locals rivers (Deschutes, John Day or Columbia), or our acres of BLM land, mountains and public river trails. We have quite mornings, breathless sunsets, starry nights and everything else in-between.

Bigfoot Acres

3 sites · RVs, Tents6 acres · Estacada, OR
This area is known as Bigfoot Acres for obvious reasons. The Western Sasquatch has been spotted many times in the woods around this site. There are plenty of adventures to be had while out searching for the elusive Bigfoot. This property is located within walking distance of Mount Hood National Forest and within a fifteen minute drive of several lakes, rivers and even an Off Road vehicle area. All of our sites are "pull through" type sites and give you plenty of room to spread out. Each site has a fire pit to keep you warm while gazing at the amazing night sky. Even if you don't leave the property you will find plenty of things to do. Visit our pond (currently still under construction) to view wildlife, find a new trail, stargaze or just enjoy the peace and quiet. During the winter you can explore miles of backcountry roads on snowshoes or skies as we tend to be very near the snow line most of the winter. We look forward to providing you with the best camping experience possible!
