Zach was easy to communicate with, understood my needs for immune precautions, and got me quickly set up with everything I needed to know to be comfortable in the space.
It was easy to find, convenient for errands in town, but away from the busy-ness. I didn’t end up staying overnight due to a personal issue that changed my plans but would recommend for others.
You’ll definitely want an extension cord and water hose on the longer side for this spot, especially if you have a larger rig or opt to back in.

Nice, comfortable site. We had some difficulty backing in, but it wasn’t impossible by any means. The other sites are close by, so not 100% privacy but thankfully our neighbors were respectful. Lots of wildlife. Accommodated our 34ft trailer and our friend’s car tent. The property next door had individuals using a saw, but seemed to only be during daytime hours and we had no trouble sleeping at night.

We actually stayed in site 3 accidentally, site 2 was what we booked. Luckily site 3 wasn’t booked so we didn’t have to switch after being set up. It was well marked but I just got confused after talking with Russell.
Our 25 ft TT barely fit with our slide out and awning but we did just fit. Lots of length just had to find space between trees for the awning and slide out. Loved the afternoon shade in site 3! It’s the best site there in my opinion.
Russell was a great host- very helpful and communicative. We’d definitely stay there again if needed.
The only downside was VERY loud music on the Saturday night. It was also loud on Friday but didn’t disrupt sleep. On Saturday it woke our toddler who couldn’t sleep for a while after that. It was over 10:15 ish. We think it maybe was from the nearby Thousand Trails but not sure.
We saw a frog, a snake, lots of deer, playful squirrels and the herd of elk passing behind our site was amazing. Their noises are fascinating and fun!
The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. We biked around a ton with our 3-year-old pedaling his own bike, on the nearby roads and national forest land along the Deschutes River. It felt very safe and drivers were patient and attentive.

This place is great for this end of Central Oregon and its proximity to everything. The hosts have set up a perfect site with all the accommodations. We didn't have to worry about anything because it was all there at the site- including a Welcome Book! Super private, quiet, and clean. The hosts were very attentive and friendly even though they were remote. A perfect, secret, shaded little campground without the crowds and grief of a state park.

We stayed on site 3 and it was lovely. Our trailer blocked the other sites and the forest is right next to and behind. It only had water in power (perfect for us bc there is a dump on site). Great place to camp!

We went to Redmond to attend the Fairwell Music Festival. Kristen’s setup was perfect. The location was quiet and easy to get in and out. We had our two small dogs with us and it was really nice to be able to walk them around the farm. We used this location to visit a number of sites around the area. We made a trip to Crater Lake National Park and it was well worth the couple hours drive. We definitely would recommend this location to others and hope to come back again for another stay.

This was a great spot for some privacy & quiet. Its in a residential neighborhood but feels a lot like you are in the woods. We had our 30' motor home in site #3, glad I picked that spot as it was the most private since our hang out area faced the woods & our motor home blocked the view of everything else. It was a bit tight for our RV & slide outs but we just fit perfectly between the trees. #3 had power & water only, but the additional dump station was great to be able to empty tanks before leaving.
Site #1 was probably the least appealing to me as it faced the building on the property so you're looking at the side of that the whole time...but #1 also had the largest parking space for your trailer and vehicles, as well as a large fire pit and table area. Site #2 is the center of the property & pretty open with a good amount of space to spread out. I tend to prefer as much privacy as possible so #3 was the best for that. I drew a map of the property to help, I wish every Hip Camp had this to help people get a feel for the layout when picking a camp space.
The whole lot was well maintained & clean. There is a building/house & a tent set up, assuming that's for the owners but no one was there while we camped. Good central location to many things in area also. I would recommend this site, the owners were very responsive & nice when we spoke on the phone. Every site has room to spread out which was nice, my sister stayed in her tent and had lots of room. Great spot!

What a lovely little campground! The four sites are next to a pretty lawn with picnic tables. There is also a grill that was perfect for some burgers. The hosts were very welcoming. We had a great stay!

Fantastic stay!! We had a wonderful time on Rick and Kristen's property. Loved the gated approach. Close to town for convenience but far enough to country.
Our RV site was clean with full hookups ups and Rick even asked if i needed to borrow a 50A to 30A converter, which i did. Well manicured and these two are always working so hard for their guests!
We felt blessed to find this stay!
