All of this and more, only 10 minutes from town.
Please note that while good separation exists between your accommodations and our primary residence, you should expect to see and hear us around the property on occasion. Lastly, we are at the far corner of a 2 mile gravel loop, making the drive into our property slow and dusty - and also private!

This spot is perfect! Exactly as advertised. A ton of space, very clean & well kept property & camping space. We are avid backpackers so this felt like glamping with the shelter, platform, & lighting. A ton of wildlife (large flocks of wild turkeys + herds of deer, hawks, songbirds) & beautiful scenery. We took all 4 of our dogs for a quick overnight for my wife’s birthday & it was perfect for a chill, fun evening. Great short walking paths. Richard is very nice & welcoming! Would stay again :~)

A truly spectacular location: quiet, private, stunning scenery, wildlife, easy access to hiking and biking and so much more! This is the ideal hipcamp. Immaculately clean, exceptionally well equipped, and everything is done with quality in mind. I can't say enough good about every aspect of this treasure. It is truly a very special spot. Add to that a great host and the natural beauty of the McKenzie Bridge region, the McKenzie River, and the Willamette National Forest and you have a world class Hipcamp. Best I have stayed at, I highly recommend!

My daughter and I stayed here after three days hiking. It’s a quiet, spacious spot on green grass, with privacy and a clean bathroom. WiFi was a plus and worked great. Don’t let the title fool you, the cows grazing around with the calves playing were a great part of the experience and not a bother at all. 10/10

This is the second time I've stayed at The Farm at Castle Rock. It is a peaceful and beautiful place with abundant wildlife and with plentiful birdhouses and bird feeders. The grounds and facilities are clean and well-tended. Each of the three campsites are well-separated from each other for maximum privacy.

We had a wonderful experience trailer camping at Makenzie’s ranch. The spot was very easy to access, yet felt very comfortable and private. We appreciated the access to electric hookup and water pump, and the table and chairs set up to eat our breakfast watching the cows in the morning! The place was great. Julie is Mckenzie‘s mother the place that we parked or camp was away from everybody. It was easy access in and out. Be wary of the roundabouts in band lol and we have a 35 foot trailer. It was a level spot we just put our stabilizers out and they even have power and water that you can use as needed And it’s beautiful where they live and very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely go back there again thanks Julie and Mckenzie.

Where to go
Deschutes National Forest
La Pine offers easy access to the Deschutes National Forest, a 1.8-million acre expanse that's chock-full of rivers, lakes, and mountains. Popular attractions include the Newberry National Volcanic Monument and Mount Bachelor.
Umpqua National Forest
South of La Pine, Umpqua National Forest offers beautiful waterfalls and lots of great hiking and camping opportunities. It's also home to Crater lake, the crown jewel of Oregon’s only national park.
The Deschutes River
Although technically in the desert, La Pine offers quick and easy access to Central Oregon's most popular rivers, including the Little Deschutes River, which runs straight through town. The Deschutes River and Fall River are also nearby, and the Wickiup Reservoir is just a short drive away.
When to go
Summers in La Pine are hot and dry, making the area ideal for camping and outdoor recreation, particularly if you want to spend time at one of the area’s many rivers. Just don’t expect solitude—Oregonians tend to be pretty outdoorsy, and campgrounds often fill up in summer months. Come in the shoulder seasons (April-May or September-October) for warmer temperatures, without the crowds. Because of La Pine’s high desert climate, it’s not uncommon for winter temperatures to drop below freezing.
