Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.
Currently there are two vintage trailers and two RV sites available. By summer of 2026 we hope to also offer walk-in campsites by the creek!

This place is a must stay. We had an amazing time camping here, even if it was so freaking cold the night we stayed. We utilized the free canoe and it was well worth it. The store has everything you need, is reasonably priced, and everyone that works there is so nice. Would recommend and if I'm back around Crater Lake I'll be back for sure.

I loved this place! Partly the location and partly the very nice people there.
About the location: it's not for everyone,; it is a bit of a drive including 5 miles on a scrabble road that is fine. But you get out and away from everyone and into a beautiful spot with a great view. It’s also rather rustic that I like that soon they will have a bath house and it’ll be different.
There’s an example of how they were nice to me: I am 72 years old and have some mobility issues. they were very cognizant of it and helped me get around a little bit. That was very sweet.
I would come back every year if I could.

Weekend Trip to Honeycomb Hill
We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to staying at the dome again the next time we're in the area.
The location is private and scenic, about 20 minutes from Ashland's city center. The dome itself is cozy and we'll equipped - though you will need to bring your own cooking supplies if you plan on cooking there. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip. You'll have beautiful views of the hills and wildlife. We spotted a family of deer and while we were tubbing!
One note for potential guest - you may have trouble with the access road to the property with a low-clearance vehicle. Our Subaru Crosstrek made it just fine, but it would be a bumpy one in a sedan.

We loved our stay at Crater Lake resort! The campground was beautiful, clean, quiet and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty to do. Our campsite was spacious, there were swings and a playground area for our kids, and we loved canoeing in the beautiful creek. It was also a quick and pleasant drive from Crater Lake.

Wow! What a wonderful place, and maybe one of my favorite HipCamps I have stayed at. When you book here, you aren't just booking a place to sleep, it is a whole experience! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was really impressed by the property and its history, especially their work restoring wetlands and promoting forest diversity, and I learned a lot during my stay. I also especially loved meeting the goats and picking fresh produce from their U-Pick farm. They even offer goat hikes, which I didn’t get to try this time, but I’m already planning my next visit just for that! The bed was super comfortable, and the community kitchen was impressively well-equipped. They truly thought of everything—you just need to show up and enjoy!

Where to start...Wendy, Madison and Brooke were the sweetest! Wendy made sure to take care of a charge from Hipcamp that shouldn't have been charged for a reservation modification. The store and set up behind are awesome! The play structure could use some help, the swings are great, canoes are awesome, the store perfect! I would day if the owners added a hot tub or a few of them, with an outside shower and a 1hr color coded max time in at a time, the guests would be in heaven! They could even do beaver tours at night, we saw at least 9 at one time. Its a gem of a spot and hope to go back!!!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of camping at Crater Lake Resort for a night, and it was absolutely perfect. The campsite was spacious and peaceful, offering a serene escape while still being just a short drive away from Crater Lake National Park—perfect for exploring during the day.
The amenities were excellent. The bathrooms and showers were clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible, which made our stay even more comfortable. I really appreciated how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was, with the sound of a nearby creek adding to the natural charm of the area.
The location itself is beautiful, with plenty of space to explore, and there were several things to do nearby, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. Whether you're hiking, stargazing, or just soaking in the surroundings, there's no shortage of ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend Crater Lake Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-equipped campsite. I will absolutely be back in the future!

The hosts had a wonderful location near a creek/river and offered the use of canoes. The area was full with the sounds of some owls and mammals , includung beavers slapping their tails on the creek waters at night. They had a well stocked store that had foods, bevs, and some camping supplies, a laundry room, nice hot showers, and a large campsite on grass with large pine trees overhead. Wow! What a great place to stay. Good people. Good place.

Great campground in beautiful location en route to Crater Lake. RV sites under some trees (there are tent sites and cabins as well). The campground is nicely laid out, so all the spots feel relatively private (though the RV ones were a little tight) and have nice views. It's enjoyable to walk around the grounds, and there's a very pretty stream nearby that's worth checking out. Also convenient to have the store on the grounds for any basics you might need.
The main downside of this place were the mosquitoes, which we were told have been unusually bad this year. Hopefully not a regular occurrence, and having plenty of bug spray, citronella candles, and the campfire helped. There was also some road noise from cars passing by to and from the park, but this wasn't constant and beceme infrequent in the evenings.
Of course, Crater Lake itself was also stunning, so we felt lucky to have found this great place to stay in the area. All in all, we'd happily be back again!

I've had the best time staying on this beautiful mountain with these wonderful people. There is absolutely nothing like waking up to mountain sunrises, and taking a dip in the cool creek after hiking on a hot day. This place is very special, and it's not just due to the breathtaking views. It's also because of the people there whose goal is to make it feel like both home and a new adventure all at once. I look forward to many many more trips back!
