There are firepits for when the burn ban is not on (a wheelbarrow full of wood for $10). The campsites are large and spaced quite far from each other. Please stay on gravel roadways with all motor vehicles.
There are two outhouses for tents campers. There is one non-potable water spigot by the log outhouse. There is no electricity on the property. For your own safety and peace of mind, please keep all food in bear safe containers or locked in your cars. If you forget anything, the Washougal River Mercantile is two miles away where you can buy gas and groceries.
Local hiking trails on the Columbia Gorge: Cape Horn Trail just 3 miles from our property and Beacon Rock/Hamilton Mountain trail is a 15 minute drive.

The site was nestled between mature trees and near a lovely pond. Listening to the trees rustling in the gentle breeze coupled with the birds cacophony was so peaceful. It is situated close to the quaint little town of Troutdale. Of course, our host Chris was very attentive and made sure everything was just right. The power and water hook ups made us feel right at home. The site offered a little fire pit which added to the ambience. Looking forward to a future trip to Blue berry hill.

The host Chris was excellent! He was generous in sharing blueberries with us as well as bringing us lettuce and kale. The spot was quiet and beautiful. I would highly recommend it and would go there again if I was in the area.

In town for a show, 10 minute uber to Mcmenamins Edgefeild.
The camp setting was peaceful and shady, perfect for a hot summer day.
Chris was helpful with information about our stay and giving suggestions of nearby adventures.
Their homestead dog, Elsie was so sweet and smart. She’s got some good tricks and runs SO fast. Loved having her pay us visits.
We would definitely return as the adventures in the area are endless!

Lovely setting on a hillside. Large campsite that let us pull in with a travel trailer and still get the truck out. Host is very friendly and helpful! We got stuck leaving and he gave us a pull with a smile on his face. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Back 40 was a great spot. Tall trees, lots of birds, blueberries at our door, and pretty quiet for a residential area. Easy to walk our dog in the neighborhood or in the field behind the house. Lyndsy was a great host, even meeting to show us around when we were 30 minutes past check in. No issues with navigating the driveway with our 21 ft campervan. Would stay again & recommend to others :)

A true ‘HipCamp’, small and personal. The sites are in absolute perfect condition and located in a very quiet corner but with a good view. Chris is the best host ever, he showed us his amazing garden, shared stories with us, told us about the area, gave us freshly harvested salad…. What else should I say? 10/10 - go there, be nice and enjoy the place and the hospitality

Great spot, super quiet and Chris your host, is like a friend you haven't met yet.
Don't let the spot intimidate you. It requires a little attention, but very doable. He is there to help and offer some inside tips for success.
We were greeted with a fresh head of lettuce and as many blueberries off the plant we wanted in the garden.
Close to Troutdale for shopping, Edgefield and the river.
Had some work to do and our AT&T hot spot worked as well, as did our Starlink.
Would be thrilled to book again.

The lot was very quiet and relaxing after our days visiting Portland. Very dog friendly. Dave was easy to communicate with before and during our stay, though the hosts were not present during our trip. No water or bathroom access here, but that’s ok as long as you plan accordingly!

We were just here for an overnight, but enjoyed it very much. It was nice to cook in the big communal kitchen rather than on my tiny van counter, we all had fun with the ping pong table in the rec room, wifi was fast, restrooms/ showers were nice and clean, and we enjoyed chatting with Jeremy over coffee! Our RAM Promaster struggled a bit to get back up one of the steep switchbacks in the driveway until we turned off the pesky traction control :) Thanks for a nice stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Travis’s Hipcamp! Travis was an exceptional host—gracious, responsive, and incredibly flexible with our arrival and needs. He made us feel welcome right from the start.
The site itself is fantastic. It’s tucked into a neighborhood of large lots, giving it a very private and peaceful feel. We loved how quiet it was, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors without any disturbances.
Location-wise, it’s super convenient. There’s a grocery store nearby in Washougal and great shops and restaurants in Clamas.
We highly recommend this Hipcamp and will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Travis!
