THE SHOWER IS UNAVAILABLE DUE TO RENOVATION! Toilet and bathroom sink are available. Grace Acres Scenic RV Camping provides rentable gravel sites to campers seeking a pastoral farm setting for their enjoyable stay in the Willamette Valley. These qualities, as well as impeccable grounds and expansive views of the charming countryside, will no doubt attract and retain happy campers. The location is in farm country at the edge of the Cascade foothills between Mt. Angel and the Marquam area, with expansive views to the east of the Cascade Mountains all the way to the coastal mountains to the west. Magnificent sunrises and glorious sunsets, as well as the beautiful, fertile Willamette Valley countryside, will be appreciated by all Hip campers. The Park is partially wooded and slopes east towards 19 acres of Fairview Creek Headwaters. Views include Grant and Jenne Buttes and Mt. St. Helens. The Park contains a large Western Red Cedar/Mixed Tree Grove and a Douglas Fir Grove, both of which are identified on the City’s significant tree list. The Park provides valuable wildlife and fish habitat, and will be preserved, protected and enhanced as part of the City’s conservation effort. Learn more about this land: This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!  Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Hood/Gorge +.  Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.  For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.

Welcome to our peaceful sanctuary in the forest - drive down the 900' gravel driveway to our property surrounded by towering trees and scenic vistas. Our campsite isn’t far from town and amenities, but it feels private and peaceful, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We’re just a stone’s throw from the Historic Columbia River Highway and the Sandy River—perfect for world-class fishing or lazy river days. Within just a few minutes’ drive you can access the “Waterfall Corridor” of the Columbia River Gorge, Vista House, Portland Women’s Forum Scenic Viewpoint, Multnomah Falls and Lodge, plus some of the best hiking trails in the world. We're conveniently located about 5 miles from McMenamins Edgefield if you need a place to camp after a concert. This is a fantastic location to settle in and relax on our farm or use as a base camp for Columbia Gorge adventures. Our campite offers two large, level RV sites with electric and water hookups (no sewer—campers must be fully self-contained). Each site has a picnic table and is surrounded by tall, mature trees and bucolic views of neighboring farm fields. Our farm features blueberries, pear, apple, and plum trees and lots of flowers! Wildlife includes deer, elk, owls, coyotes, raccoons, plenty of squirrels, and, if you’re lucky even bald eagles! Our dog Elsie is a loyal farm pup who helps keep deer and small predators away. Don’t worry she’s extremely friendly with people (especially children) and plays well with other well-behaved dogs. Springtime is especially gorgeous here, with magnolias, dogwoods, rhododendrons, irises, lilies, peonies, dahlias, hydrangeas, and pollinator gardens all in bloom. In the fall, the foliage is stunning as big-leaf and Japanese maples turn golden, orange and fiery red. The trees, flowers, and views are truly spectacular and we’re sure you’ll enjoy them as much as we do. There’s also plenty of open space to toss a frisbee, enjoy a picnic lunch, or wander through the gardens and canopied forest trails.

This property was once part of a 200 acre cattle ranch turned into a Christian community. The families shared meals, home-schooled their children and had a home-based church. They raised their own food in a 3 acre garden and orchard along with chickens and cows for milk, meet and eggs. Two of the original families still own some of the acres although the community was dissolved and much of the property sold to other people. Learn more about this land: We love sharing our beautiful land with those that love nature. The sunsets, the peace and the birdsong are the best.  Pets are welcome and you can walk through the forest with them on dirt pathways or keep them in your campsite. Please keep pets out of our area, as our dog is very protective and has been known to have scuffles with other animals approaching. Grassy areas are available to set up tents or have picnics. There are firepits for when the burn ban is not on (a wheelbarrow full of wood for $10). The campsites are large and spaced quite far from each other.  Please stay on gravel roadways with all motor vehicles.  There are two outhouses for tents campers. There is one non-potable water spigot by the log outhouse. There is no electricity on the property.  For your own safety and peace of mind, please keep all food in bear safe containers or locked in your cars. If you forget anything, the Washougal River Mercantile is two miles away where you can buy gas and groceries.  Local hiking trails on the Columbia Gorge:  Cape Horn Trail just 3 miles from our property and Beacon Rock/Hamilton Mountain trail is a 15 minute drive.   We can give you directions to our favorite swimming hole for cooling down on hot summer days in the Washougal river. (Discovery Pass required at the river) parking spot. Buy those at the Mercantile as well)

Step onto Scrumpy Forest Farm on the shoulders of Mount Hood and slow down and breathe deeply. Let your musings and wanderings be your timekeeper, and your curiosity lead you astray. Plug into the world of trees, bees, and farm rhythms, and unplug from all of the flurry of everyday life. We believe that experiences worth having happen slowly, not in rushing about. Stay. Observe. Listen. Interact. We have two drive-in sites for small RVs and vans, five glamping-ish sites (furnished with tents, foam mats, and chairs) and four walk-in campsites with a tent pad ready for your equipment. We close camping reservations after five sites have been booked for any given night to ensure that everyone has a crowd-free and nature-forward experience. If you are interested in booking all of our sites for a group event, please contact us via Hipcamp or our website and we can ensure you have access to the sites you need for your event. Yes, please explore our trails, have a picnic in the social hall, dip your toes in the pond, check in on the farm animals, find your zen in a forest bath. Just remember to close the gates behind you, observe local fire restrictions, pack out your trash, and leave your campsite looking tidy for the next guest. We don't have food service on site. But you're welcome to bring a dinner picnic basket (may we suggest a charcouterie and cracker board, fruit, bottles of your favorite beverage for sipping, decadent chocolates?) and a breakfast snack (how 'bout hard-boiled eggs, croissants, crisp apples, and tea?) to eat anywhere in the fields and forest. And, we have you-pick berries and apples available for purchase, in season! More information can be found at: https://scrumpy-forest-farm.com
