*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit. Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby. The bathroom (with tub and shower) is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining and folding wall system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit. With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room. We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know. We cannot guarantee that your visit with us will be enchanted and uplifting, but that's what we hope it will be. We'll do what we can to make it so. Our listings include a 9.5% room tax assessed by the city of Eugene. Those added funds are used to promote tourism and other good things around Lane County. Guest access Late arrivals are easy to facilitate. The house is easy to find, even in the dark. The street is well lit and we have path lights to guide you to the roundhouse. Since it's a completely separate building, there's no need to worry about waking anyone. "We'll leave the light on for you," as they say. What will you need? Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven -- all yours. Laundry, full kitchen, yard, neighborhood -- shared. (Just ask.) We have gorgeous red velvet theatre curtains and a clever folding glass wall to divide spaces, but the intent is to remain permeable for hospitality's sake. Other things to note MISCELLANEOUS NOTES: #1. After over eight years on airbnb, this space is often "taken" for most times. Next to the historic Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. 8 miles from Brownsville, this town has been featured in multiple movies. 13.8 miles from Foster lake. At the bottom of the property there is a tree house, fire pit, and large grass field that could accommodate 20+ tents. Upper area is a rock parking area with RV hook ups. gas firepit, gas BBQ, and picknic table. I only rent to one group at a time. Rarely camping there when campers are there but father is on site (the grey house) to assist if needed.

Hi Carly. We had an absolutely amazing time! Your place is so quiet and beautiful. We set the tent up underneath the canopy and it was wonderful. The rain wasn't too much with that extra protection. All the stumps and benches around the fire pit are fantastic for cooking on with my little backpacking stove. And the trailer plug was perfect; the electric car was fully charged in the morning! Next time we are driving south to visit my parents in California, I hope we can stay at your place!

we stayed here on our way up and back to Bremerton, so this review is supplemental to my earlier one. As before, this is a great place to stay with all the hook ups and a nice view out over the hillside. Jered is a really easy-going host and again went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I'm sure we'll stop back by on our next trip as this site is easy to get to being just a few short miles off of I-5. It's peaceful and quiet at night and well worth the quick jaunt off the freeway to get a good nights sleep.

The RV site at Jeremiah's was great! I was there in late fall, but had a couple of nice days. It has beautiful views. When it was fogged in below, you could see mountaintops across the valley, and when the fog cleared you had a great view of the valley/Sweet Home. The RV site backs up to the edge of the hill to maximize your views. There is plenty of room to maneuver. Full hookups were nicely setup. The sewer pipe was at the very back of the site, and just beyond the reach of my 20' sewer hose, so I did break out my 10' extension hose. You are parked between the house and the shop which is a pretty big space, so you don't feel like you are crowded by them at all. The driveway from the road to the site is through a forested area, but the trees are limbed up and it is wide enough for any RV to maneuver comfortably. I arrived after dark and Jeremiah came out to greet me and help me get positioned since I didn't have anyone else with me to help watch me back in. During my stay Jeremiah gave me privacy, but was ready to help if I needed anything and responded quickly to a question I sent through the hipcamp app. I should mention that it's a steep road up to the road that Jeremiah is on, and I was a little worried beforehand, but turns out it was totally fine with my well kept but older diesel truck and a somewhat heavy fifth wheel.

Absolutely gorgeous property, a private site with a beautiful view. Very close to Old town Cemetery, with a historic downtown less than 10 minutes drive. In Brownsville, OR. Stayed for 3 weeks for a job in Lebanon, OR so it was close enough for a comfortable drive to and from, out of the hustle and bustle of the bigger city. Livestock in close surrounding areas, lots of deer! And wild turkeys.. also witnessed a lady bug swarm for the first time in life and it was such a great experience! Host was very accommodating, helpful and friendly, also gave advice on what to check out for holiday festivities while staying. Fire pit included! ☺️🦃🌳🦌🐄🐃🐓🪦They also have all hook ups available for your RV as well as recycling and garbage can for trash etc. Would absolutely stay again. Its giving Sleepy Hollow vibes ❤️

We absolutely love Cathryn's beautiful hipcamp on the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We went in late October so the weather was chilly and it rained a lot but we made the best of it. We had the entire campground to ourselves and just a few steps away from the most breathtaking river scene. My son enjoyed fishing and saw many huge salmon but unfortunately he didn't catch one next time perhaps. We have a 31ft RV and our friends had a smaller RV there are no hookups but that's how we love and enjoy camping. It is very peaceful with wild turkeys that ventured into our camps. There are no strict rules on dogs off leash which are pups love to explore and run around and frolic in the water it was amazing. Cathryn came by once to introduce herself and to answer any questions that we may have had. She also mentioned that they are going to do some improvements to the camp to get down to the water more accessible. Its all a work in process but it's beautiful just the way it is. We can't wait to book for the summer because there are many deep pools there to swim in. The only suggestion that I would have would be to move the front gate further down so that when you pull out of the gate you're not on the main road where it could potentially be dangerous. To be honest I really don't want to say too many great things about this place lol because we would love it to remain a secret 😜 It is definitely in the books for springtime. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

In 1948 a wildfire came thru what then was a mixed forest of spars old growth conifers, evergreen and deciduous broadleaf trees burning intensely enough to render the entire area to primarily grassland. Today it is quickly returning to primarily mixed forest, recovering the ability to hold water at cooler temperatures as it once did. Nestled on the south slope of Dickinson Mountain it offers plenty of sunshine yet some of the best cool freshwater to be found anywhere. Although much of this paradise is considerably steep there are ample cow and goat trails to make exploring extremely enjoyable. Bachelor Creek which runs thru approximately 1/2 mile of the Southeast portion is home to beaver, cutthroat, western pond turtles, great blue heron, and many other wildlife. There is a pair of resident Redtail hawks, wild turkeys, deer, bobcat, coyote, cougar, mink, flying, silver grey, and pine squirrels, owls (sawhete, screach, Pigmy, barred, and great horned), and many others. There are also many swimming holes on Bachelor Creek and a tributary we call Dancing creek, although they are all somewhat small the water is nice and refreshing for a quick dip on a warm day. This is a working farm raising cattle, and chickens. On that note please don't feed any of the animals as they could become a real nuisance. If you are going to be leaving your camp for a hike or swim etc. please secure any food items to avoid a potential disaster. The farm is 170 acres (a half mile by a half mile) and there is a fence all the way around it. Feel free to hike wherever, as long as you don't cross any fences you are still here. You can take a dip in the creek where it comes out of the culvert below the road and there is a picnic table at each site as well as at the dipping hole.

Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.
