The Upriver Paradise site is a private, gated RV campground for you and your guests to enjoy. It is an approximately 1/2 acre site that is gated for privacy and security. Included are two RV sites with 50, 30, and 20-amp outlets, water and WIFI. No Septic on site but there is a dump station less than a mile away. There is also a portable toilet on site for your use during your stay. Upon request, we can accommodate additional RV sites if needed, with the same amenities as above, for an additional fee. Located just on the edge of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon. The site is on the McKenzie River with 150 ft. of riverbank to enjoy and explore. It is forested and beautiful with many spectacular views with seating available to relax and enjoy the wildlife, sights and sounds. This space has everything you need to relax and unwind in the privacy of the woods while also being centrally located to explore and experience the beautiful McKenzie Valley with all it has to offer. The site is at the end a loop which has two Airbnb rentals and one other small house, but the spot is separate and private.

Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials. We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life. We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give. We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own. We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

Private and public camping opportunities abound near the river, Anns Butte, Bachelor, Sisters, LaPine State Park, and Tumalo State Park, a riverside gem with canyon trails, swimming holes, and excellent rainbow trout fishing. Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. The Yknot Ranch

We live on 20 secluded acres surrounded by National Forest/BLM Land. We are 10 minutes from downtown Sisters where you can enjoy the western themed town. Peterson Ridge TH for mountain biking and close proximity to many trails, creeks and lakes. Heading from our property 20 minutes the other direction is Bend. 30 minutes to Redmond Airport. At the Yknot Ranch (because, "Why Not?"), you can enjoy the quiet (unless there's a coyote serenade) and dark skies at night. The milky way along with many stars are quite visible on clear evenings. We live in a migratory route-plenty of deer wandering through. There's a fire pit for you to use within 75' of the spot. Feel free to sit in the shade by our small pond where the frogs inhabit in the springtime. A level 58' x 14' spot with full hook ups: includes water, sewer and 30 amp power. Unobstructed views from the property of The Three Sisters. Bring your gravel, e-bike or mountain bike and ride from the property onto Forest Service Roads. We have a gate so no one will be coming onto the property without our knowledge. Unhook your camper, drive down the gravel road and cross the bridge over the Tumalo Dam (Built in 1915 and never held water), drive further to the Tumalo Reservoir for a stroll. Another 10 minutes down the road brings you into Tumalo where The Bite serves drinks and four food trucks to choose from.
