Weekend Trip to Country Outpost RV Site

This RV site was exactly what we were looking for. Super easy to find and located in a peaceful, quiet spot. The fire pit was great and we loved hanging out by the pond and listening to the birds (and farmers in the background). Allen was nice - checked in on us to make sure everything was good, but also gave us our space to enjoy his place. The listing is truthful with its "picnic table present . . . use with caution". We were glad to have a tablecloth and seat covers for the picnic table but it was sturdier than expected. We had a great time and will be back to the Outpost again, I'm sure.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!

Camping on Whitney’s land is a dream come true!!! So much to explore on land and in the river. There is an eagles nest right across from his place, so be sure to pack those binoculars!!! 10 out of 10 recommend this place! Be sure to also check out Timbers tavern and Honey Beez pancake house for yummy eats 🥰

Weekend Trip to Country Outpost RV Site

My wife and I stayed at the outpost this weekend. It was an easy drive up state routes and county roads. We arrived at the location and immediately knew how to park. We used the two lane, untraveled road in front of the outpost to easily back our 25 foot RV into place. There was room to spare with the RV and my 19 ft F150 still hooked up. You could get a 45footer on the gravel lot. It was very quiet. We enjoyed our stayed and even did a little fishing. We caught 2 MASSIVE bluegills and a few small bass right from our chairs. There is a 30 amp service, but no water or sewer ( we dumped at Camper's Inn in TippCity/Troy, Ohio). We would definitely visit again. We met the owner - He was very cordial and you can tell he loves his property! A++

Weekend Trip to Forested area, and wetlands

This cabin and the land was a perfect place to relax and explore. The trails through the forest to the cabin are very nice, and the cabin itself was clean and well stocked with supplies. The provided trash cans made things much easier regarding clean up/ pack out. The hosts thought of everything to make this an enjoyable stay, thanks again!

2 nights at Country Outpost RV Site

Allen’s beautiful land was nestled between fields on all sides. He was very welcoming and let me know what to expect during my stay, i.e. paths, fire ring, parking, etc. It was very tranquil and quiet with little traffic on this country road in Ohio’s quintessential farmland.

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!

Once the secret speakeasy after dark spot for local political big wigs this property has been transformed from swampland to hidden gem right on the edge of America's Hometown of Muncie, Indiana! Welcome to Narnia! Or Atlantis!? Or... The Property? The Hidden Valley? We just haven't committed to a name yet so it's a little bit of everything all rolled into one! 8 acres on the magical Ganges, er, White River makes for a fun time. You can expect a certain amount of privacy while still potentially making a new friend or two depending on the night. You will be nestled under some giant sycamores, cottonwoods, black walnuts, catulpas, and a mess of bush honeysuckle that is always being battled! We have 2-3 sites directly on the river and then scores throughout with trails, hills, and other interesting features. Multiple firepits though I CANNOT guarantee firewood. There is often plenty to collect or available on site but if you can bring your own that'd be safest bet! We are (somehow) located partially inside Muncie city limits right on the river. Yes you may occasionally hear some trains or even particularly loud cars while camping deep in the woods but this is the tradeoff for a one mile drive to bars, restaurants, and groceries! Best of both worlds. The Muncie Eagles, whose nest resides directly across the river from us, do not seem to mind! This location is also directly on two main bike trail routes and our trails are fun for low impact mountain biking! We also have a small armada of kayaks/canoes on site; IF arranged that option does exist for cost of transport! We have 2 porta potties on site as well and fresh water hose available at main house. Looking forward to hosting!

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents. The area where the cabin sits is all pines. Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33. Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive. The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater. Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin. For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property. In addition we have elevated totally enclosed stands for wildlife observation and photo opportunities. Several docks around the pond to fish from - use at your own risk. There are no dedicated "walking trails," but you can walk around the backside of the one pond (we keep it mowed) and wander down the long lane. No official "cooking area" - bring a grill, cooking stove or cook over the fire. Please do not cook under any roof, near cabin or on plastic table. Please pack all your trash out. We don't have trash pick up here. All dog/animals feces can be flung in the field/tall grass! Lots of big catfish, bass & bluegill - see our F B page for videos of the fish being fed! If you're done fishing for the night or don't fish, bags of fish food are available for $1! It's fun to watch them! All food is stored in containers in shack. They like to eat in the morning or early evening. Also like hot dogs. You understand that swimming, camping, hiking and fishing is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, camping, hiking and fishing. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, camping, hiking and fishing and hold owner harmless. Bluffton Farm & Camp

Welcome to Farm & Camp. We offer lots of level gravel for parking, fire pits, swings, and a country setting. Depending on the season and time of year, we will have goats, kittens, puppies, dogs all around the farm. We always have projects going on which could involve gardening, building, welding, woodworking, etc. We have a small basketball court, several small buildings, a large pin frame barn on site. There is a long grass lane back to a small woods if you need to take a walk and get away from it all. If you come in the spring or the fall you might be able to catch a ride in our nephews tractor, semi or combine. (Maybe even drive it!) Once farmed by grandpa Jacob Meyer, this farm has been passed down for 3 generations. At different times in life this farm has raised cows, sheep, pigs, goats, puppies, kittens, chickens, raccoons and various other animals. Take a tour of an old pin frame barn with 2 levels of lofts. Take a ride on an old WC tractor or stroll down the grass lane to get away from it all.
