You may wish to interact with our farm menagerie during your stay. We have supplied a self-service animal feed dispenser by the "barnyard" sign, just beside our tiny house. Feel free to come down between 9AM-8PM to give chickens, geese, ducks, and possibly the goats some treats. NO PETS ALLOWED TO BE WITH YOU WHEN YOU FEED THE ANIMALS, please! Feed is available by donation. Note: Only feed the provided treats, do not feed anything else! Please do not exceed two refills per person! Be aware that animals can bite, kick, scratch, bonk, and poo. You are your own responsibility when interacting with the animals! ----CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS---- -Drive up to our farm gate and TAKE THE GUEST FOLDER from the box, clearly marked. Don't mind the barking of our big white livestock guardian dogs from within the nearby pastures, they are just doing their job. Open the gate and CLOSE IT behind you, please :) -Follow driveway up to the top of the hill. Please do not allow any pets out of your vehicle down at our farmyard. Be careful as you pass through this area as we do have children and livestock possibly crossing the road. -Park wherever you feel your vehicle can best manage the sloped driveway. -Open the dome's zipper door and let it air out. Follow the guest folder's instructions for further climate control needs. There will be most of the information you need in the guest folder, as well as in pamphlets and notes around the site. You can also contact us at any time, but the WIFI is sometimes spotty, so it may be necessary to come knock on our door for additional inquiries. (Don't be shy! Weekend Trip to Blue Bear Mountain Camp

This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Mike was a great host, very friendly and easy to talk to. The bathhouse gets 5 stars from us. Heated water as well as heated room. We stayed in Dome #3 and it was clean and comfortable. The heated blanket was a very helpful for our cold evenings. We stayed 11/7-11/9 and have already started planning another trip to try the backpack sites. It is a beautiful property.

We had a wonderful stay at the Compass Rose! Temps were down in the 30s but we stayed toasty warm with the propane heater and were very comfortable. The doggies were very sweet and well behaved and Eva was a kind and gracious host. 10/10 would recommend!

It was a great time camping in the Geodome! I went with my mother and my dog and we all had a wonderful experience. The creek was so cool and my dog got to splash around a lot. I loved seeing the stars and the fake fireplace kept us very warm on a cold night. Will book again!

i absolutely loved staying here! the bed was so comfy, the towels were lovely, the coffee was amazing, the yurt was spacious & the heater was very nice. i loved all the personal touches like the gratitude journal & the games and activities for guests to do- i wish i had more time here! my only complaint would be that the outdoor shower water was FREEZING- would love to have a warm shower. might be OK / better in the warmer months

Weekend Trip to Blue Bear Mountain Camp

We absolutely LOVED this place! We were worried when we were booking relatively late and had a hard time finding quality spots, then came across this place. It was AMAZING. We rented both a yurt and a tent site for 4 adults, 6 kids, and 1 dog. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and play soccer or throw frisbee. We had big fires at night around the campfire. My wife and the other mom just LOVED their yurts (though the kids weren't as impressed when they found out they were sleeping in a tent, ha). Bathrooms were close and clean, and there was a sink to wash dishes. I also loved how though there were other campers there, we didn't feel "on top" of them and had plenty of room. Our dog was welcomed and we had a blast. Plus, we were only like 15 minutes from Boone. There's also lots of trails to explore and 150 acres, we when we (not if we) come back, we'll have a lot more exploring to do! We have written this place down as a favorite and will FOR SURE be coming back again.

Literally the most earth-friendly place I’ve ever stayed! I’m an experienced camper and boondocker who has owned multiple RVs, so I know my nature vibes—and this spot truly blew me away. It offered the perfect balance of comfort and connection to the outdoors. The dome felt like a romantic getaway surrounded by nature, yet had all the amenities you could ask for: a private shower, a grill with a burner, pots and pans, electricity, and even great cell reception. It was peaceful, rejuvenating, and thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. I’ll definitely be coming back—and honestly, I could see myself staying here for an entire month if possible.

Weekend Trip to Starlight Hills

We stayed at Starlighthill Campground in the Lunaview Dome to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The dome was cozy and comfortable, and we especially loved the 1-hour spa session—it was so relaxing and a wonderful treat. At night, the star views were simply incredible, a truly unforgettable experience. The entire property is very well maintained—the dome, the grounds, with clean restrooms. The staff response fast to your messages/ needs.The attention to detail really shows. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway. We are already planning to come back!
