An agrarian dream - a literal field of possibility. With 18 acres to choose from you may find yourself sleeping along the lazy Fifteenmile Creek, atop a hill under Virginia stars, or even set up with pastoral views of hens and Great Pyrenees dogs.
The roadfront side of our property offers level terrain for pull-behind trailers, while vehicles (preferably 4WD) and tent campers can travel all the way back to the creek. Feeling froggy? Ford the stream and camp in the large field on the other side. Be sure to mind the animals and fields, as this is a working farm.
One mile down the road from the farm is the Virginia Creeper Trail, renowned for biking, but as a multi-use trail, you can also enjoy walking, running, horseback riding, fishing, cross country skiing, and geocaching.
South Holston Lake is only minutes away by vehicle, with two public access boating ramps 10 to 20 minutes away.
Access to the Appalachian Trail is only 20 minutes away in Damascus.
We became caretakers of this lovely property in June of 2021, moving from our existing farm, 45 minutes away. When we got it, it was a blank slate of a hayfield, and we have spent the summer laying infrastructure so that we may grow our cut-flower, honey, and vegetable business.

Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy.
While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night!
Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables.
Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October.
The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County.
The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc.
Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge.
Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands!
We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival.

Plans
We are building an educational homestead with farm stays here in rural SW Virginia to include dining experiences and food preservation classes. Our 35 acre farm is located on a mountainside with
beautiful
views of the Clinch Mountain. Our location is rural and peaceful with abundant wildlife. Deer, Racoons, Opossums, Bobcats, Bear, Fox, Groundhogs, and Turkey have been spotted on the property. We are a great spot for bird watching as well!
Camp Grassland:
Two of our prepped campsites
are on a flattened area of the hillside field with access to a fire pit, log bench, and porta-potty. This location is in direct sun with beautiful views and easy access from the road. Parking at the top of the field is recommended unless you have a 4WD vehicle.
Cabin Breazy:
Situated at one of the highest points on the property, Cabin Breazy is our cozy, off-grid, dry A-frame cabin surrounded by mountain views.
Farmhouse Holler:
2nd Campsite is located next to our old farmhouse on a lower section of the property. Its near the natural spring and is shaded. There are no convenient bathroom facilities at this location so it is recommended to bring your own. Reaching the porta-potty would require an extensive uphill hike or driving around to the other entrance. To reach this campsite, the driveway could be considered
rough terrain so drive slowly. Lowered vehicles or those with little ground clearance are not recommended.

occupancy of 2 people. If you need space for more campers, please reach out to us about how many are in your party.
We can host groups with advanced notification.
Overlanding vehicles are welcome.
Attractions:
If you are looking for birds-eye view of the area, visit the Mendota Fire Tower only 3.2
mile away. You can see it from the farm and see the farm from it. It's about
a 15 minute hike from the road. You can choose the mildly challenging way up or take the old roadway for a smoother walk.
Clinch River is only 20 minutes away. Cool off in the river or enjoy kayaking and tubing opportunities from Clinch River Adventures.
Closest convenience store is about 15 minutes away.
Closest Grocery store is about 20 minutes away.
Friendly-leashed pets are welcome on the property. Remember to always keep your pet tethered as we have free roaming animals on the property. Never leave pets unattended on the property. Please clean up after your pets!

Welcome to Hemlock Hill Hideaway - a unique glamping experience while being minutes from Boone city limits!!
A perfect place to relax and enjoy the trees!
The treehouse is approximately 10'x10'. There is a loft consisting of a brand new foam full-size mattress while facing a clear semi-see-through roof. A futon sits below it. The bathroom consists of a portable toilet and sink in a tent off the treehouse. A shower station sits on the other side of the treehouse. Although there is no plumbing, both have water. (You only need to bring drinking water for yourselves.) There is electricity and WiFi. There is a cooler and an electric kettle available for you to use. Outside of the treehouse, there is a fire pit, a grill, a hammock, and a slide - plenty to do while relaxing in nature!
Please bring blankets/sleeping bags and pillows to sleep. (Both the foam mattress and the futon will have freshly laundered sheets.) If you plan to use the grill, please bring your own charcoal. Grilling utensils are provided.
Firewood is provided for the fire pit.
Although smoking is allowed on the premises, we ask that you do not smoke inside the treehouse. If you decide to smoke, please clean up after yourselves.
Checking out is easy! We ask that you throw away your trash & recycles and return the key to the lockbox. We take care of the rest! There is no need to refill the water or take the sheets off of the mattresses.
The hideaway is behind our backyard so you may see/hear us from time to time. There may be a cat or a dog running around although we find that they do not go out there as much without us.

Rocky Face Camp hosted by Sarah was the perfect spot for our father/son camping trip. We had three dads and six boys, and the setup was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of room to pitch tents, relax around camp, and enjoy time together when we weren’t out hiking the local trails.
The location was great — tucked away enough to feel like a true camping experience, but still conveniently located between Boone and Banner Elk so we could grab a hearty meal after a long day of hiking. The boys had an absolute blast, and the dads appreciated how peaceful and easy everything was.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly campsite with easy access to outdoor adventures and nearby mountain towns, we’d definitely recommend Rocky Face Camp.

Phenomenal spot. Very private - you will not have signal when you get there or on the way in so save Missy’s instructions! Also be sure to bring TP and paper towels - there was enough for one night but don’t count on it for more than that. Overall stunning spot and would absolutely stay here again. Maybe five cars total passed by down the mountain in 24 hours, but you can hardly see or hear them at all and there’s a creek in between so I didn’t have to worry about my dog. I also think I saw a review that said there were Adirondack chairs by the fire, but none while I was there. I brought a gravity chair so again no big deal, but be sure to bring your own camp or lounge chairs for around the fire.
Weird note - we did come across an off-leash beagle on our morning walk that chased us home (probably friendly but I picked this spot specifically because my dog is dog-aggressive, so not ideal for us).

This was such a cute place! The house was cute, there were dvd movies, an air mattress, and a french press! We cooked some steak on the grill. We also loved the incineration toilet. Loved the privacy and the creek. Kitchen utilities and cooking utensils supplied. Would totally stay here again. 😊

Weekend Trip to Stormbrew Farm
This was my second stay at Stormbrew and both times we were the only ones there.
We ran into the owner’s daughter when we stopped by the bathroom at arrival and she was super nice - invited us to join her for a cookout if we wanted.
The site is tucked at the back of the property along the stream where it’s nice and quiet. The unit was fairly simple but cozy. You may need a solar fan during the summer for extra air flow though.

The description really can't do this place justice; you just have to enjoy it for yourself. The view obviously is unbelievable and is the star of the show. But Cabin Breezy is wonderful on it's own. You can tell Jessica put so much love and attention to detail in every inch of the mini but mighty A frame. We also weren't expecting to have an actual bathroom and shower to use (not just port-a-potties). So that was a major perk. My fiancé, our dog, and I came up for a little 2 night getaway for my birthday. Work has been WAY more stressful than usual lately for both of us. Staying on this land was cathartic in so many ways and we return home feeling completely renewed. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with the rest of us! We loved our stay at Blue Bear Mountain. The drive up from Boone is forested, but as soon as you enter the campground, the view opens up and you can see the NC sky: great for seeing the stars on a dark night!
We stayed in the cabin, which was cozy and had a toilet separate from the campground bathrooms (shower was still in the shared campground structure). There is a small porch on the side for enjoying a quiet relaxing morning sunrise.
Mike is a very friendly host and was very responsive to any questions we had. We already saved Blue Bear Mountain as a campground we would book again on another trip up to Boone.

My partner and I enjoyed our five-night stay at the cabin. After long days of hiking in the surrounding area, the bed was incredibly comfortable and much appreciated. We also had the pleasure of preparing a delicious meal using shiitake mushrooms growing on the property, complimentary from the owner. We definitely look forward to returning!

Weekend Trip to Hemlock Hill Hideaway
The host was great, we booked last minute and she still had everything ready before we got there. It's obvious they put thought into their guests having a good time, they provided a small first aid kit, lanterns, marshmallow skewers, and I was most impressed by they put out tinder/kindling with the fire wood. Host very responsive on app.
