For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. If you have questions about this PLEASE message me prior to booking. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too! All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites. Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. The closest town is Hot Springs, which is 20 minutes away and the Hot Springs are a definite must-see if that peaks your interest! The town itself is also pretty cool. There are some good shops, restaurants & our favorite hardware store!! Downtown Marshall is also close, about 25 minutes and has a lot to offer! Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river. Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you! Full disclosure: We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

Honesysuckle Springs is the perfect spot to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. John and his whole family were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The sites are spread out and the hilltop provides a scenic mountain view!

We added an additional canvas top to keep you completely dry and sheltered. This site is totally private among the rhododendrons and has a creek you can hear while sleeping.

My husband and I loved this whole camping experience! The tent is super spacious with a beautiful view of the creek. We'd wake up to the sound of happy ducks playing in the water too. I have back problems and was worried about the bed at first, but man! It was SO comfortable. I was even able to use the swing yoga rig at the pavilion to do some decompression for my back. Vicki was so kind and very communicative with any and all questions. I also loved all the little signs that give detailed instructions for any and every thing. 100/10 can't wait to go back!

The host was very cordial and kind. She has a great deal of property there and had several other people come during the weekend however we were able to pull our travel trailer in a fenced area which allowed us to let our dog run free, which we greatly appreciated. This was the first hip camp we had ever stayed in and it worked out really well for us because it gave us the opportunity to be right in the middle of the things we wanted to see and do like Cade‘s Cove Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. She was actually hosting I believe a community scavenger hunt on our property and the other campers participated and had a good time with it. My husband and I just stayed within our little area because we’ve just recently gotten married and wanted our time.

Very large and clean site. Creek is beautiful and noisy! Quiet and remote, the only traffic is the locals who live in this small valley. It’s about 20mins to grocery store and 1 hour to GSM. Road is easy for a SUV. Road is narrow and you have beware of others coming towards you, but pull offs abound and everyone is courteous. Larger RVs beware!

3 nights at Critter Camp

Camping at Critter Camp was such a wonderful experience, so highly recommended for anyone taking a trip to the Smokies, or Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We came up to camp, do Dollywood, and hike the smokies, and Critter Camp plus our amazing host Kimber was just such an awesome experience! We got to meet and feed and pet some very sweet animals on the property! We met Cherokee, a 24 year old horse, and Abby a 30 year old donkey, and Bailey the 10 year old dog. All of them were just such an awesome addition to the trip! Cherokee and Abby hung out with us around the campfire, and while we were winding down for the evenings. They love carrots and apples!! We pet them and they would clomp around munching on grass and just hanging out. Overall just such a great addition to have animals around while camping. Kimber was also such a gracious host! She brought along a trash can for us to use, and also we got the firewood bundle, which is SO worth it! Overall 10/10 would camp again! Just watch out for the droppings when setting up camp! Thank you Kimber! You are awesome!

She had proactively reached out to me when Site 3 opened up and offered to upgrade us, so happy that we did! Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you! Full disclosure: We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. My parents bought the 120 acre property in the 1960s. I started clearing and building the campsite in 2019. Watch the sun rise on one side of Troublesome Gap and watch it set on the other side. There is a circle drive for 2 teardrop / squaredrop or pop up campers and plenty of spots to pitch tents. There are also great spots to hang your hammock. Camp where my family camps. My parents bought the property in the 1960s and we have camped up here, hiked, hunted, and cut firewood many weekends. We decided to share the property so you can enjoy camping up here too! The property is in a remote location where you can enjoy the wildlife and the cooler temps in the summer. You'll have 3 acres all to yourself. The closest grocery store is an hour away but the Trust General Store with a restaurant and gas approximately is 7 miles away. There is also a burger joint (Dave's 209) on the way to the Trust General Store. This camping site is in a remote area and the nearest neighbor about 1/2 mile away. Max Patch is about 25 minutes away and features beautiful hiking. The quaint town of Marshall is about 30 minutes away. Asheville is about an hour away. The campsite is easily accessible from Baltimore Branch Road. However Baltimore Brand Road (public road) is steep in places and we don't recommend an RV bigger than a popup camper. If you are pulling a trailer you'll really want to consider having 4wd. If you aren't used to driving on steep dirt mountain roads, you may want to bring your 4wd vehicle. If you have a 2wd vehicle, then you'll want to come to the site via Big Pine Road. This route will take you through Walnut, NC We also provide a porta-a-john for your convenience. This is a campsite where have the whole 3.5 acre property to yourself. You are surrounded by properties that vary from 40 acres to over a hundred acres. We just want you to have a great time and bring home great stories. It seems like every visitor to Troublesome Gap has a great story. Come camp with us and build your own story. Important Note: Water is only available on the site from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Otherwise you'll need to bring your own water. There is a camera on the property. It faces the gate (and away from the campsite).

Peace and privacy await you on ouWe are still cler farm, pasture and woods, this working herb farm is a haven for rest and exploring. The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us. Please be aware we are not completely cleared up after Hurricane Helene so we are limiting cars to 2 per site. There is parking about a mile away, or we can fit a 2 cars per site . If this is an issue please contact me to discuss. Also note we look a little different. The campsites are fine but the creek has changed its banks and the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds. Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior. Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans. Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle. This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing. The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

We are accessible by road via I40. There is a small exit due to construction (BE CAREFUL, as we have had Hipcampers miss the exit) Keep left, go underneath the interstate and up the gravel road (going around the road closed signs) to our hostel which is the first building you come to. We are first-come, first-served in Northbound thru hiking season (March 15 through May 15), however, reservations are available at all other times of the year by contacting us via phone 4234870014 (Call) or 4236080149 (Call or Text). Hike or drive-in. Business hours: 8am-8pm. Open year round and on holidays. Call ahead if arriving early in the morning or late at night. We love the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg area enough that we purchased a permanent site to bring our RV to on a regular basis to visit for extended periods of time. We hope you also enjoy our little piece of heaven. Please respect the site, and let us know how we can make your stay even better next time. Learn more about this land: Spacious and clean RV site with full hookups (water, sewer, and 50/30/20amp power) located in the Outdoor Resorts at Gatlinburg. Visitors have access to 2 swimming pools (seasonally), 2 mountain streams, a lake, basketball courts, tennis, mini golf, horseshoe pits, shuffle board court, game room, and activities center. Bath house is close to the site, should you need to use the facilities. Coin-operated laundry facilities are also available at the campground. The HOA does charge a one-time $10 pet fee upon check-in at the office, and is separate from anything I collect.

Cherryfield Luxury Group Camping exceeded our expectations. The shelters and grounds were prestine and the covered platforms were definately the way to go car camping. Our tents stayed neat and the covered shelter kept us dry and cozy as we watched the rain on our second night without a fly on our tent.This campsite has thought of everything. There are grills an firepits beside each platform (each platform is large enough for 3 four person tents) and there are two common shelters with electricity and GORGEOUS bathrooms. It is funny to say, but the bathrooms were nicer than many hotels we've stayed at... large tiled shower with digital temperature controls, excellent water pressure from the large rain shower head, and, as a bonus, surround shower heads for that extra special something. I have never been excited by a shower or bathroom at a campground, but I made sure to shower before leaving because the experience was so zen. There is ample lawn space to play games, set up additional tents, and spread out for privacy, even during larger group gatherings. There are grills and grill tops by each fire pit making campfire or grill cooking easy, but delicious local restaurants just 10 minutes away also offer catering style menus that makie car camping and group gatherings even easier (the local BBQ and Italian were terrific). The grounds are meticulously kept and there are sturdy bear boxes to protect food and trash to help keep unwanted visitors from troubling guests. While we enjoyed some activities away from Cherryfied, we could have easily spent the entire weekend at the campsite. Not only are the grounds spectacular, but there is an easy walking trail to a lovely moss covered waterfall just steps away from the campgroud. The sound of the waterfall can be heard from the campground. It added ambient atmosphere and lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts were terrific and offered many suggestions for take out meals and activities. My only criticism is that the weekend went by too quickly. I did not realize how much my family needed an escape of this sort until we got the Cherryfield. I recomment Cherryfield without reservation. Take good care of this special place. We cannot wait to return.
