Located in the tranquil, natural woodlands of our historic family farm. There are 30 acres of hiking trails with remnants of what once was an 80 acre old fashioned family tobacco farm. There are plenty of level areas covered in lush grass and surrounded by trees as old as dirt! The Honeymoon Sweet provides an indoor experience. It was built by my Uncle Frank who cut the wood off the land and milled it into the lumber he needed to make this unique, rustic space. There is a rock fire pit with lots of easily accessible firewood. You can hang out and enjoy mother nature or visit one of the many local tourist attractions like Pilot Mountain State Park, historic Mt Airy with it's charming small town hospitality, Hanging Rock State Park in the Sauratown Mountains affords breathtaking views, hiking trails, waterfalls and fishing. If you are a history buff, we are just a short drive to Bethania a National Historic Landmark, Historic Bethabara founded by Moravians in 1753 or step back to the 18th century at Old Salem home of the famous Winkler Bakery and Salem Tavern that provided lodging for George Washington in 1791.

Our beautiful, 13-acre property is the perfect mixture of woods and grassland fields, both with several walking trails to stroll around. When I moved my family of 7 here from n.e. Ohio 11 years ago we didnt know anyone at all. I am a people person, I love music and I was determined to meet some new friends. So, i decided to build a fire pit and a makeshift stage and have a party! This party was called, Friend Fest, A reason to gather and celebrate the gift of friendship. Our motto: Come as strangers, leave as friends. We were on our 9th Friend Fest until Covid. Over the last few years we have added more amenities to the property. Disc golf, Walking/ hiking trails, fishing, baseball diamond, bonfire pit, 10x14 covered stage, swimming pool, primitive glamping cabin. We also host Nature Education classes on the property. Take the opportunity to stay in a one of a kind Farm Store loft on a real working farm. Crossings is a true market farm that has been in our family for over 11 generations. While the main focus of Crossings is always to be a community farm, we love opening our home and farm to respectful visitors. The loft is over our farm store and accessed by a curved staircase (no door between) . The farm setting offers a comfy spot for someone looking for a quiet spot to relax and rest after a day exploring out and about. The cozy space it perfect for 2 people who are looking for a unique spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of their normal lives. The farm store space on the first floor is a public area that is frequented by our regular customers during the day, especially on Saturdays. We allow our Airbnb guests to lock the farm store from 6pm to 9am each night for ultimate privacy and enjoyment of the space. There is a bistro table can that be used for picking up take-out or a simple meal cooked on the wood stove or outdoor grill. The back porch is a perfect spot to enjoy a nice rock in our Troutman Co. rocking chairs while listening to the farm sounds and seeing our crew gather eggs, move the cows, or re-stock the Farm Store. Not in the mood to hike into a spot? You can pull straight into the driveway and park to the left of the farm store. Other things to note **Please note that you are staying on a working family farm. There are multiple farm animals (chickens, pigs, cows, horses, farm dogs and cats) that are in close proximity to the Farm Store. We ask that you maintain and do not go into the fenced areas, greenhouses or our barns for biosecurity. We also ask that you not feed the animals, even though they may come up to the fence. *We do have farm workers (including ourselves) who are in and round the farm all day feeding animals, tending to the garden areas, filling orders and re-stocking the farm store. All of our team will maintain social distancing, but feel free to ask any questions of them while you are here. *Saturdays are our "busier" days on the farm. Our Farm Store is "open" and staffed that day for our regular customer needs. We are normally cutting wood, moving animals, fixing fence, building structures, re-stocking the farm store, mowing and weed eating. *If you have any concerns around our Farm Loft stay, please reach out to us prior to booking so that we can answer any questions with transparency. We have tried to give you an honest picture of what our Farm Stay is like since we are a very active working farm.

Our stay was great. The love shake was a great size four two and two dogs. She has very helpful amenities throughout the camp spot. The dogs loved the creak and the trail. The trail was about a 15 minute walk, a must do. She was very responsive and accomidating. The outhouse looks intimidating on the pictures but it was very nice. Clean and no odor at all. The showers were great, clean and plenty of hot water.

We had an amazing time! Location is convenient to hikes and winston-salem. We spent our days doing hikes and returned for a campfire. Having the amenities after the hike was very nice. The host Chelsea was awesome and very responsive. The egg and sour dough add on was a cool touch too. Both were gone by the time we left.

We loved our time at Darin & Beth’s tiny Cabin in the woods.The cabin and the bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean.The Cabin is surrounded by nothing but lovely forest with no neighbors in sight.There is a short loop trail with a beautiful little creek that our dog enjoyed.Wildlife is abundant and can be seen and heard.The directions are easy to follow and we had no issues getting inside the cabin.Highly recommend.Very friendly hosts as well.

We loved our weekend at the Mystic Meadow love shack! This was our first experience with HipCamp and it did not disappoint. The site was so peaceful and cute and had so many fun and intentional details! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom, showers and cabin were all very clean and well appointed. We had total privacy but Wendy checked in periodically to make sure that all was well. The stream sounds were wonderfully peaceful and sitting on the swing by the stream, relaxing in the hammock and enjoying our coffee by the fire in the mornings were highlights. A truly wonderful place for a relaxing adventure. I hope that we can return soon!

We stayed in the cabin. It was wonderful having such privacy with it nestled in the woods. Everything was clean and well maintained. They suppled firewood in crates for us to use in the fire pit! It was fun showering under the stars. Luckily, when we were there, it was warm during the day and cool at night so the evening shower water was warmed up by the sun. The bed was very comfortable, and Darin and Beth were kind and very responsive to any of our needs and questions. The location is close to Mt. Airy, Pilot Mountain, and Hanging Rock State Park. All three of which we visited. We plan to visit again soon.

This was such an amazing place and space! The land is absolutely stunning, the "Love Shack" was clean, comfortable and the way the roof opened up to the porch was epic. She left little snacks and plenty of resources to discover nearby, even though, I didn't want to leave this haven! The outhouse was surprisingly more pleasant than regular campground bathrooms. Mystic Meadows is truly a magical place to unplug and recharge. There are hiking trails and some games and a hammock. Wendy is an incredible host and I will be back many more times. Best birthday gift I ever gave myself! Thank you!

If you need a place to relax and set your worries down, look now further. The Mystic Meadow Love Shack is perfect in all the ways. It's cozy, charming and quiet. The location is tucked away and beautiful, yet close to other areas to hike and explore if you feel inclined to do so. Lots of attention to detail and touches of whimsy. Wendy was a very welcoming and communicative host. As a solo female camper, I felt completely safe. It was a wonderful stay and I'm already planning when I can return.

My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.
