We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

The vintage camper was located in a quiet, peaceful location. It has the quaintness expected with a camper of this period. We enjoyed the privacy and the open space surrounding it. The soft chicken and rooster noise was welcome. The owner was quick to respond to any issues and quite kind as well as thoughtful. We were practically within Hanging Rock State Park so this camper stay made it easy for us to explore but still have a comfortable place to return.

It was perfect for my first solo camping trip and had all the necessities for ease rather than tent camping, plus extra sweet gifts from Bridgette including fresh eggs from her chickens. I would say my review is somewhere between great and OK. What was great was that the bus was fun and funky, sweet and well-designed, and clean. The kitchen was laid out to have good working and eating space for 2. The shower was very nice. The composting toilet was clean and easy to use. We especially loved the view out of the passenger side of the bus -- great little firepit/chairs, and beautiful woods. We were surprised when we walked down to the stream to find HUGE rock formations and boulders and we had a blast playing on those.
The "okay" part is that the property on the other side of the bus is a bit shabby. Once you get there, you can totally ignore that, but when you drive in it doesn't look as inviting as it really is.

Weekend Trip to The Vineyard Lodging
The Vineyard is a beautiful campground in a fantastic location. The cabin was very nice and suited our needs perfectly, though we actually ended up staying Nextdoor to Seminole in the Carolina cabin. Greg was an excellent host who was responsive and very accommodating. A perfect option for someone looking for a cabin instead of a tent or RV site. We enjoyed our stay. Bedding was provided as well as a small charcoal grill for cooking.

The Ancient Springs Farm glamp site is a sweet marvel! The Tobacco Pack House is real rustic charm, it was so lovely sleeping in a comfy bed right next to masses of flowers and in sight of the stars. We loved the farm tour; Rebecca is also an inspiring caretaker of the land, sharing great information about the land, animals, plants and gardens. Rebecca was an excellent host: Professional, clean, hospitable, and very knowledgable on the agriculture and history of the Ancient Spring Farm Site. The site itself was also stunning-the perfect place for a solo retreat! The animals, the plants, the fresh farm-to-table breakfasts, the grounds...what a memorable experience! Absolutely loved our stay at RiverNest - we did not want to leave! Had everything we needed and Christine even made us some blackberry cobbler with their fresh berries (thanks again!). The view was beautiful and sitting on the deck was my favorite part - very peaceful and relaxing. Our two dogs enjoyed their stay as well; they loved watching birds/critters from the deck and all the nature trails to explore. It really was perfect - no complaints whatsoever; we'd gladly stay again! (:

Lori’s place was lovely! We enjoyed the expansive yard and view of the farm and animals. We made many new animal friends, including chickens, goats, and sweet Bear (the friendly dog). Great place for pets- my dog had the best time. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and just what we needed to relax! Hope to came back soon!

1 night at Ancient Spring Farm
Everything was perfect. We loved our little glam open air bedroom. The time was purely magical.
We also upgraded to have breakfast. The fresh eggs and delicious bacon were top drawer!!

Weekend Trip to Easy Bend River Farms
Beautiful setting. On their farm. The two story rental had a lovely view of the (Yadkin) river. The scene was serene and peaceful. The lower level opens to the deck with garage style doors that really made the space feel bigger and brought the nature indoors. We would definitely go back.
