We loved staying in the Rivernest cabin in the treetops! From the deck we had a view of both the Yadkin River below and Pilot Mountain across the valley—truly breathtaking. The bed and soft seating were comfortable, and the kitchenette was well equipped for our long weekend of glamping. We added on a dozen eggs fresh from the onsite henhouse, and they were delicious! We enjoyed walking the many trails and hanging out at the river access on site. And we enjoyed meeting Christine who is a kind and friendly host. We look forward to returning—maybe for blackberry picking season!

We wanted a small getaway to take our puppy on her first camping trip, and to have some one on one time as a couple. Wendy was great at communicating and making sure we were settled in on arrival. She initially was going to meet us at the site to welcome us, but we didn't get in until late due to work. There were issues with the showers following the winter, but she informed us ahead of time and had them ready by the next morning when we were onsite for our first full day. The setup is absolutely adorable and unique. It's a peaceful area with a little trail to walk with your dogs and a creek runs alongside the site. They have plenty of places to relax on the site, including a hammock, swinging bench, and chairs set up further down the site. There is a bathroom (the privy) that is very well kept and clean. There are yard games like darts, horse shoes, and badminton to play. There is also a small campe stove and flattop for cooking, or a grate to throw over the fire. This is the perfect in between spot for those who like to touch it but also want relax!

It had everything we needed and she even stopped over the first night to make sure we settled in. The directions were spot on, definitely follow them. Absolutely amazing! Had everything we needed and nothing we didnt for some simple primitive camping in a cabin. Fair warning my lil Toyota Corolla did have trouble going up the gravel driveway (entirely my fault, just realized after getting home my tires are almost bald and have no tread/traction) but Darin & Beth were incredibly helpful and were kind enough to assist us and was still able to make it to the cabin 😊 cannot state enough how magical this place is, it was so quiet and peaceful. Thanks Darin & Beth for your kindness and awesome hospitality, cannot wait to go back! 🫶🏼🏕️🔥

Weekend Trip to Marshall Creek Farm
Darin and Beth didn’t miss a thing planning this hilltop cabin. The gravel driveway is steep but we had no issue climbing up to the site in a Ford Transit 250 2wd loaded heavy. Our height clearance is 9’9”. All we can say is it was a super well thought out layout and includes just enough to simply pull up and start camping in minutes. Lots of extras to discover as well. Our dog loved it. We camped at end of March so trees were still bare and the night sky was visible.

My puppy and I LOVED the treehouse! It was cozy, quiet, & had just about everything you could need for a trip. There were dog treats, doggy shampoo, & a doggy towel which was awesome after spending the day on the trails. The property & the views were so beautiful and Christine was such a pleasant host. She made us feel right at home. 11/10 would recommend. I will definitely be taking another trip here during blackberry season!

Beautiful spot! This was our first time in the area, and we stayed overnight in the cabin. We loved it—if you’re looking for a peaceful, serene place to relax, this is it. The cabin has a simple aesthetic, very comfortable, and has gorgeous views of the property. Wes was a great host and immediately responded to anything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back again soon!

The space was incredibly clean and cosy, offering the perfect blend of comfort and nature that our dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring. One of the highlights was definitely the company of the friendly resident cats, who made the atmosphere feel even more welcoming. The amenities were top-notch, but what really set this place apart was the flexibility; being able to add guests allowed me to host a birthday brunch for my girlfriend that turned out perfectly. With 10/10 weather and a 10/10 location, it was a flawless getaway that we won't soon forget.

Beautiful property with variety of farm animals and endless relaxation at your fingertips! The cabin is not too far from the host’s home but feels secluded at the same time. They offer as much privacy as you would like while also being readily available to assist. Amazing garden with herbs and nuts to share! They even came out one evening to introduce us to their baby ducks and chickens. Outhouse is clean and well stocked. Absolutely loved cooking on the old stove! Highly recommend this spot! Camp site also looked amazing :)

What a wonderful stay at Christine’s treehouse! She has truly thought of everything to make this the perfectly cozy and relaxing stay. It has everything you need. The place is beautifully decorated and I felt like I was in a cozy artist’s studio. Even though the nights during our stay were cold, we were very warm and comfortable inside the treehouse with the heaters doing a great job. The views of the river from the treehouse is gorgeous and being able to open both garage doors to let the fresh air in really merged the outside freshness with the indoor relaxation. Christine’s property is also super cool! She has miles of hiking trails available and has stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available to use! There were even doggie life jackets! The treehouse is also only 45 minutes from Winston-Salem and the perfect weekend getaway. This is a stay we’d absolutely love to do again! (Also, make sure to follow the directions and NOT plug the treehouse address into Google Maps because that may lead you somewhere quite different).
