Our little private campground is a hidden jewel in the making. Each campsite is private. We are not a parking lot like so many campgrounds are these days. We are still currently working on infrastructure but are willing to host campers that are self sufficient at a reduced rate for now. We do have a fun play ground, hiking trails, a steam we lovingly named Alligator Gore (to keep the little ones out of the mud). We are pet friendly. Each site has a fire ring or fire pit. We have a full bathroom available. We have a small camp store. We have group camp sites, pull through RV / Camper sites and a few glamping cabins. Located only 40 minutes from the NC coast and much more affordable and less crowded. We are still growing so we do not have a pool yet but will have one in the future. We do have a kids and youth program with weekly crafts and other activities. Picnic tables are available on some sites. Almost across the street is a wonderful boat ramp and fishing spot on the Cape Fear River. Canoe down to a sand bank about a mile down river and have a romantic picnic. A Celtic themed restaurant, the Mad Boar, is just a 10 minute drive if you are looking for a unique farm to table experience. And Duplin Winery is just 15 minutes away with tastings and tours. Even though they only have electric and water Tyler will get you taken care of before you get on the road and get you pumped out. You don’t even have to go to a pump station. We absolutely love Rick and Helen and their beautiful property! We booked last minute because another site didn’t work out for us and we’re so glad we did! The site we stayed in was level and very spacious with plenty of room for our tow car. The water pressure was perfect and they had 50 amp power. There were lots of beautiful places to walk and explore with our two dogs and they have ducks in the pond. We saw geese and turtles as well. It’s quiet and peaceful in the evening. Rick and Helen were welcoming and wonderful hosts. The barn, covered bridge and beautiful pond set the scene for the perfect camping weekend. We will definitely be back!

Extremely well kept camp ground. Lots of options for your RV or tent needs. They have paved and gravel sites for your RV. Those who like to camp in their tents there are very nice sites for that, grassy and level. For those with RVs make note the sites are not level. You will need to take the time to setup well. They have very nice facilities, a pool, restrooms, and showers. If you're looking to adventure into Swansboro or the Croatan National Forest, the lakes are perfectly located. Everything is about 20 minutes from wherever your are. Come by and stay a while, we did and it was a blast.

Our trip was delayed slightly, but Jeff and Megan were very easy to work with. Even though we arrived much later than expected, we were greeted by Jeff. He met us at the entrance and helped us get parked, took time to show us around even though it was raining. Jeff and Megan were great hosts, offering suggestions for local food and gas stations. Nice peaceful Hipcamp for our “halfway to the coast” stop.

We stayed here due to its location within a few miles of our family/friends. Monte is a very friendly host and very welcoming. My husband was working remote through the day and we went to our friends’ home in the evenings. I spent daytime hours exploring the area recreation areas and parks, of which there are many. There is a lot of contracting type activity that goes on around the site during the day but it quiets down at night. We were also there Sunday-Sat and weren’t there over a weekend. If you are looking for seclusion and camping in the woods, this site would not be for you. If you are looking for a jumping off point for exploring the area, work, or visiting family/friends, this site works fine.

We actually stayed at site 8 and loved it! The owners were very nice and accommodating! This was truly a beautiful little getaway, and it’s great for couples or those with kiddos like us. Our family really enjoyed kayaking/jon boating on the pond and having a little fire while laying under the stars. It was a great experience and we would love to do it again with more family next time! Thank you to amazing hosts! We appreciate you and everything you had to offer.
