Thank you for such a peaceful, gorgeous and dreamy respite. Healed by the nature, mountains, sweet cabin, blackberry bushes, lizards, butterflies, owls and of course baby goats. I could feel the thoughtfulness and care that went into the compound and I could not have asked for a lovelier time. ✨

What a beautiful setup Kevin has out there! The bungalow was super comfortable and what a decadent treat having a personal hot tub! It was spotless, stocked with everything needed, and it was such a pleasure speaking to Kevin. Clearly a top notch human being. Couldn’t have been happier and would stay again in an instant.

Great glamping spot! Very secluded, cute bath houses. We had a nice campfire and stayed warm inside.

We went with a group of friends and stayed in multiple cabins to view the lunar eclipse. We all enjoyed the lodging, hot tubs, cooking over the firet, he views, and the amenities! We met Kevin he is very nice, responsive, and was a fantastic host. All of the cabins were exceptionally clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed all of the small thoughtful touches. Our pooch loved his time as well!

We stayed in Sky Blue and it was perfect! The views are amazing, the hot tub is luxurious, and the cabin was delightful. It’s the perfect amount of space for two people with lots of attention to detail and little extras. Fyi, bring any pots/pans you may need, but everything else is provided! The space is clean and the communication with Kevin is excellent. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The properties are beautiful and in the perfect location. The inside was beautiful and offered a lot more than we expected, they had several towels and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub very much and honestly wish we had stayed longer. We are definitely looking forward to going back for more days of course.

I had a wonderful weekend at sky blue with my girlfriend!! The hot tub was perfect at night and even during the day. There was a nice hike with open land at the pastureland with a great view! The fire pit was perfect with more than enough of fire wood, I highly recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful time for our 21st anniversary stay at Candee Mountain Retreat. The cabin was very clean, beautiful decor, an amazing view, and an awesome hot tub. Kevin was very attentive and responsive to anything we needed. We will definitely be back!

lovely little “glamp” site, with the sweetest animals - the kitties and a big ‘ol pup greeted us on our way in/out. lots of blankets provided for extra warmth in the cold, which was greatly appreciated! would certainly stay here again

We loved staying at Candee Mountain Retreat! The tiny cabin was beautiful and had all of the supplies we needed. We really enjoyed being able to cook over the fire pit and spending time in the hot tub. This was the perfect place to bring our pup--we loved being able to let him run off leash on the well maintained trail on the property. We got to meet the owner, Kevin, he was extremely nice and helpful. We will most certainly recommend this to our friends and will be back ourselves!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay this weekend. The unexpected snowfall on Thursday evening, made the hot tub even better! Communication with the host was great. Kevin offered recommendations for restaurants, and we have to say Mountain Holler Steak and Seafood is a must try if you are looking for a good steak or smoked ribs.

Our pods (arched cabins) are tiny homes, well situated for both spectacular views as well as romantic privacy. Each home has an arched cabin style, cozy, yet well-appointed with a bedroom (queen bed), full bathroom, full kitchenette and living area with sofa and Roku TV. Homes are located close enough to enjoy a campfire with neighbors, but separated enough to enjoy that special romantic evening on your own large deck with spectacular views, or late at night enjoying the stars above. Each cabin has its very own fire pit. All cabins are outfitted with an outdoor hottub. Property is over 60 acres of onsite hiking trails, or find your special spot to sit and enjoy the view. Experience our favorite parts of Stormbrew Farm through a primitive camping experience. Learn more about this land:An agrarian dream- a literal field of possibility. With 18 acres to choose from you may find yourself sleeping along the lazy Fifteenmile Creek, atop a hill under Virginia stars, or even set up with pastoral views of hens and Great Pyrenees dogs. The roadfront side of our property offers level terrain for pull-behind trailers, while vehicles (preferably 4WD) and tent campers can travel all the way back to the creek. Feeling froggy? Ford the stream and camp in the large field on the other side. Be sure to mind the animals and fields, as this is a working farm. One mile down the road from the farm is the Virginia Creeper Trail, renowned for biking, but as a multi-use trail, you can also enjoy walking, running, horseback riding, fishing, cross country skiing, and geocaching. South Holston Lake is only minutes away by vehicle, with two public access boating ramps 10 to 20 minutes away. For a drink by the water, head to Abingdon Vineyards- only 10 minutes away. Access to the Appalachian Trail is only 20 minutes away in Damascus. We became caretakers of this lovely property in June of 2021, moving from our existing farm, 45 minutes away. When we got it, it was a blank slate of a hayfield, and we have spent the summer laying infrastructure so that we may grow our cut-flower, honey, and vegetable business.
