Weekend Trip to Live Oaks Farm

First time using Hipcamp. Maiden voyage for our home built truckbed camper. We had an amazing time. Patrick was an incredible host. Very spacious property and easily accessible. Beautiful place to go. Quiet and cozy. Thank you Patrick for a great time!

We very much enjoyed our time! The host Paul was extremely nice and gave us good recommendations for things to do in the area. We particularly enjoyed taking the kayaks he provides out on the water and being able to take a hot shower at the end of the day. There’s also an outdoor kitchen set up that made it super easy to do dishes after meals. We happen to be the only campers there during our one night stay since what would have been our neighbors had to leave early. Due to this it was very peaceful and quite except a small amount of traffic noise, but it honestly wasn’t bad at all!

Highly Recommend This Peaceful Hideaway! If you’re looking for a relaxing camping trip, this spot is perfect. We had the best time kayaking and searching for fossils—found over 20 shark teeth! It was incredibly quiet, and the soothing sound of the waves made the whole experience feel truly serene. Can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Bright Star Farms! The hosts were great and the animals were vocal. The hosts were really responsive when we asked questions and very accommodating.

Weekend Trip to Crockett Landing

Paul's property was absolutely, without a doubt, hands down the coolest campground we have ever been to. The beach like landscaping he has installed creates a very tranquil atmosphere and embraces the natural habitat. It is surrounded by marshland with little boardwalks all through the marsh. You have access to the salty water by kayak or paddle boat, whether you use his or bring your own. The setting is just simply beautiful and peaceful and it is just a little slice of heaven on earth. Paul was very kind and friendly to us. He took time to show us around the property and tell us all about how he built it and told us a bit of his story. I can't think of enough good things to say about him and his property. If you love camping, and the beach, this is a great spot for a romantic weekend for a couple or for a family to have a blast!

1 night at Crockett Landing

We really enjoyed our evening at Crockett’s Landing despite the rain! There were three overland rigs in our group - plenty of space and level sites. Clean facilities - nice hot shower. Trails to explore in the woods and out to the water were a pleasant way to walk after a long day in the car.

1 night at Crockett Landing

Crockett Landing was a peaceful little spot for us to enjoy a night by the water! We booked site 7 but upgraded to site 2 and it was beautiful! It was a little tucked back so you couldn’t see the other campsites and so serene. The toilets were clean and the hot shower was a wonderful bonus! The trails were a little bit confusing as they seemed to encroach or go through some of the campsites but besides that my dogs enjoyed exploring them and watching the little crabs scoot around under the wood boards! We brought our own firewood but there was some leftover at our site which was nice in case we had forgotten. The common cooking area is so cute and convenient and had bug spray, lighter fluid, pots and pans, anything you could possibly need that you might have forgotten. Overall it was a wonderful vibe and we will definitely be staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the landing. Wonderful expensive deck to hang out on. The beach vibe with all the colors and fabrics are great! The dock was perfect for bait and fishing. We caught shrimp and mullet for bait. And all kinds of sea life! Corakera, Sting ray, crab, and even a shark! We had so much fun! We plan on making this place a regular stop at minimum once a year. Paul is awesome! He's personable and attentive. You won't regret your stay one bit. 🤙🏼

So friendly and welcoming! Loved being able to get away and relax. Waking up to horses was a plus and our daughter loved all the animals. Definitely recommend.

Patrick and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. It was my first time in town and Patrick send me a list of dog friendly restaurants/ attractions, as I had my pup with me. Additionally, their mass of land was perfect for my pup to run around freely and safely. The location is about 17 minutes from free parking to a beach which was perfect for us! Will be staying there again if we are ever back in town.

We also offer a seasonal pumpkin patch and Christmas tree farm. You will usually see Patrick working around the property or in the wood workshop building furniture. His beautiful wife Brittany and their gorgeous kids Maddox and Everlee enjoying the outdoors as well.
