The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Theres something really special about this place! The horses are amazing, the land and trails are beautiful and the people are nice and friendly! My old van made it easily up the hill and the parking was nice and flat and the power hookup very good! My dogs also had a great time! The WiFi worked very well on the iPad but the phones struggled a bit. But really I have to dedicate some words to the horses: oh my, what beautiful animals they are! And they are all rescue! Mama and Lacey stole my heart!

everything you’ll ever need for a cozy stay outdoors. we chose this spot because of the tiny shelter it afforded during what was going to be below freezing temps. The kitchen space and bed set up was much appreciated and allowed us to focus enjoying the stay itself. The owners were super helpful getting us setup and providing a welcoming space. Bring layers and everything you need to keep warm in the winters - we even caught a light snow storm on our morning of departure! would come back again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Organic Farm in the Pocono Mountains. Eric greeted me on my arrival and the space I stayed was serene. They were hospitable and available for questions and hiking suggestions. I also felt safe being a solo camper. The Delaware Water Gap was less than 20 min away from the campsite!

4 nights at Trails Head Tiny House

We love Tiny House as it’s nestled in the woods and feels very private. The hosts are kind, give clear instructions, and they’re super responsive to any questions that may come up. We love to tent camp and this tiny house is a great option for the colder months. We were not able to use the woodstove during our stay, but there is also a diesel heater which warms the place quickly, and for a quieter option, a small portable propane heater (purchase cans of propane at the conveniently located trading post which also has literally anything else you may forget at home). As others have mentioned, the path down to Tiny House is steep… like for REAL. An ACTUAL 4-wheel drive can make it, but ONLY if the ground is dry. That said, be prepared to hike in/out your gear if need be. And if that’s not your cup of tea, we did discover that the hosts have a couple reasonably priced Airbnbs in the area - check out Cabin in Rock Hill “Trails Head Cabin” (on the same street as Tiny House) or nearby Home in Rock Hill “Beaver Lake Escape”. Our reason for visiting was to tackle the challenging hikes of the Neversink waterfalls. Trails Head Tiny House provided amazing access, as well as, respite from our hectic city life. We look forward to a future visit!

The campsites at the organic farm are great, spacious and secluded. A lot of birds and several deer were attracted by the pond. The farm is very close to the city and the trails, at very convenient spot for everything one needs. Communication with Eric was excellent! I would come again anytime.

We enjoyed the easy and quick set up on this beautiful property. The fallen leaves made it that much more picturesque. Our host was very responsive to our messages, and the nearby town of Washingtonville is very quaint, and we wished we had had more time to enjoy it. The Inn looked very elegant and welcoming in the night.
