Red Fox Meadow Campsite
Easy communication and the place was also easy to find. I had a small problem but they solved it quickly. The place is more convenient for someone with a tent or campervan. The place was good to spend a night while traveling but they seem to offer other activities to do on site.

I camped in late October. The place was beautiful in the fall, with all the different colored leaves. The camping area was secluded and quiet. The whole experience was very relaxing and peaceful. A great place to get away.

I enjoyed my stay in the Red Fox Meadow! The grounds are lovely to walk around in, and connects to the bigger park. If you bring your bike you can get straight on the Rail Trail. The meadow is a little grassy field with a few campfire rings. Not very private if there are other campers in the meadow, and it's right next to the rail trail. You will hear cyclists passing by in the day. Bathrooms are great with showers and flushing toilets, but a bit of a walk from the tent site. There's also a sink by the bathrooms to fill up water and do dishes.
The cafe is only open Thu - Sun, and pizza only Fri - Sun.

Communication from the host before arrival was good. A map was sent so I could find my spot, but once I arrived there was NO sign to match the location on the map where I was supposed to camp. I had to ask another camper for the location and he wasn't sure either. The porta potties were very far from the camp field. The host had mentioned that though it was dispersed camping, there would be tables and fire ring/pit. There was one fire ring and no table. The location is great, right next to the rail trail, but much of the complex looks old, disheveled or broken down.

Great place! Delicious oven pizza from the cafe. Live music. Great trails to explore. Very dog friendly. Awesome atmosphere. Will be back next season!

It was great - we were biking south on the Empire State Trail and the field for tents is literally against the trail. They DO sell firewood next to trail cafe, we hauled wood from Stewarts in Rosendale, a couple logs per bike, but turns out that was a fun but unneeded activity. The rail trail cafe is an institution and would go as far as say is a must-stop on the Empire State Trail. 10/10

I ended up not being able to go due to a storm and they refunded me fully for a different date. Very nice of them and would 100% book again. I appreciated their patience and understanding. Definitely will be booking in the future.

Charming coffee and snack stand. Rent a bike to bike the trail. Pizza oven where you can order pizza. Really Cozy campsite on the meadow. Not secluded, others camped close by, but still felt private. Live music friday and saturday. Really good vibes. I would absolutely recommend!

This was a lovely campsite. Well spaced out so there wasn’t much noise from other sites, and being right on the rail trail was perfect. Having the cafe nearby we could have just eaten every meal there. Incredibly convenient and highly recommend!

What a great find! My mom and our dogs and I had a wonderful weekend here. We found a spot to camp off the side of the field, tucked into the woods, which gave us lots of privacy and let our dogs have room to roam and play. We didn't even need to leave the property all weekend! We explored the trails and the grotto and swam in the pond and lounged at our site. It was wonderful. It's also super close to other great hiking, plus many cool towns (including New Paltz). What a gorgeous community they've built here. We'll be back!

Red Fox Meadow Campsite
The location was beautiful and very quiet - no street or highway noise at all. The cafe was great! We appreciated the potable water, well-kept bathrooms with showers (though ours were cold) and the privacy. While every campsite has its own fire pit, there is only one picnic table for shared use so make sure to bring camping furniture. Overall we loved our stay and want to come back to try the trapeze!

We had a vehicle so we camped in Blueberry Field. Great open space wirh a fire pit. Close to bath house. The ground was level and we had several options in pitching our tent. There were people living behind us in a camper they were nice and it didn't interfere with our camping experience. We did visit the cafe both nights for the entertainment. The first night we got pizza and it was very good. The café isn't owned by the same people as the hipcamp. We road the trail into New Paltz. The second night it did rain for a bit so we went out to eat to Darlings. Nice place and good food. This is really a nice hipcamp. Showers were an added bonus. Ww would definitely come back. The owner responded quickly to our questions. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful spot of land! A lovely community vibe with live music and kind people. Great facilities with many nooks and crannies to explore. They were incredibly accommodating and helped us with anything we might need. An absolute must stay at a very reasonable price. Our dog absolutely loved the green and was very welcome. Definitely check out the pond - maybe not the best to swim in but a cool back corner to explore! Was so nice to be next to the cafe and walk right over for coffee and fresh scones in the morning.

Stone Mountain Farm has a beautiful property and the Red Fox Meadow campsite was very cozy! Being right off the rail trail is a great perk and the Rail Trail Cafe right across from the campsite is awesome! Very nice staff, good food and beverage options and there was even some live music on the day we stayed.
Full bathrooms are not too far of a walk away and were clean but it could benefit from better signage! There was no indication on the outside of the building that it was the bathhouse when we went so trust in the map!
Overall it was a great experience at Stone Mountain Farm and I would definitely stay at Red Fox Meadow again!

big area with lots of fire pits. there is a bath house that is a bit of a walk, but close port-a-potties. The host is part of the cafe, which was an added bonus! The camping part itself was just us and one other couple, but the cafe was busy on the weekend. There is a wooded area as well if you prefer. The ground was only a little soggy while we were there. Super dog friendly! you can hike/bike from the campsite. we did a small hike to the slabs, played in the pond and on some ropes/swings/netting.
