As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Wonderfully warm and curated cozy cabin! It was a wet, chilly, late fall weekend and we were so comfortable in Robbin’s tiny house. Everything was just as described and we likewise had everything + more we needed. Really enjoyed the sound system and super appreciated the ample water provided. Love the added space of the lofted bed. The pull down ladder went with the overall fun, creative vibe of the spot. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Weekend Trip to Grateful Acres Vermont

The area is right in the middle of the forest which made for a fun drive and just a beautiful landscape. We got unlucky that the first night was uniquely cold and windy but the host was so great at trying to accommodate and keep us warm. She was very available and considerate. I would highly recommend this place for the scenery and the host!

Staying in Oma’s cabin was beautiful. The cabin feels handmade down to the smallest detail. You can feel the hosts’ Erin and Philip’s care in everything about the place. Excellent kitchen set up with everything necessary to cook meals and clean up. The stove kept the cabin warm and comfortable when it was cold and windy outside. Luna the dog came by to say hi. Fire pit is great for having a fire under the stars. Walking distance to a great hiking trail. Really just a perfect off-grid cabin in the woods.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Cabin

What an amazing find!!!! Super clean, well stocked, comfortable seating and bed. Beautiful location, was amazing to sit outside and listen to the stream, wander over to it and be mesmerized by the cascades. The wood stove heated the cabin right up and the fire pit under the night stars was another treat. Outhouse was clean and I loved the motion light that came on when you entered. Brought our 5 gallon jug of water and there is a shelf over half the sink to set it on and made cooking and clean up a breeze. Propane lamp lit the cabin up at night. Felt like we were staying in a luxurious Airbnb not camping as every need we had Rebecca had already met. Right down to the dog bed and treats for our dog. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful remote location surrounded by hiking trails. Hosts definitely put a lot of care into the location and decor. Cute little outhouse and a firepit with a poker and chairs, everything we needed. Their son Noah especially helpful in getting us settled in and Stephanie was flexible with having us switch into a cabin last minute, since we accidentally planned our trip during an early Nor’easter.
