The Little Witch Cottage is a rustic charming cottage from 1929 with timber framing and Catskill blue stone flooring. It sits in the middle of our yard about 200 feet from our more modern home. We have about 9 acres set back from the road. The cottage has a queen sized bed, dining table, and small kitchenette. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, dishes, toaster oven, french press for coffee and an induction stove top. There is basic cooking supplies such as pots and pans. We wired this vintage beauty to run on solar power and has an outhouse with a composting toilet, sink, and heated outdoor shower. Outside the cottage is a small garden, picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. Our land is mostly sloped fields that we are slowly turning into meadows full of native flowers and plants. There are mowed paths through the tall grass. This is perfect glamping spot, a mixture of comfort and nature. Lake Taghkanic is a great place for both summer and winter stays, with plenty of tent campsites as well as cabins and cottages, and a variety of activities to do year round. For winter folks, there's cross-country skiing and snowmobile trails, as well as ice skating and ice fishing areas, and plenty of fire pits to warm those chilly bones. For summer lovin', there are two beaches, so if someone kicks sand in your potato salad (accidentally, of course), you can just go to another beach and pretend like it never happened. The only sleeping quarters that are on the water are some of the cottages in the West End Cottage Area, so if you're planning on playing Beach Party Bingo, plan accordingly or be willing to walk a bit from your tent or cabin.

The Heldebergs are one of the oldest mountain ranges on earth, these mountains have been worn down to 2000 feet over time. Native Americans lived in the area many years ago and we are quite sure this was Native American sacred ceremony land. Hiking, canoeing, swimming and fishing (catch & release only) are available on site. There are many places to hike in the area, an Eagle Trail and in winter, 2 miles away, is a Nature Preserve that rents snowshoes and has trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing, Very rural and private, even though we are only 25 miles SW of Albany, NY the capital of NYS, here it is quiet and peaceful. We do have 3 very friendly dogs that will want to be your best friends. Also farm animals that you can meet. There will be farm noises, roosters greeting the morning and various grunts and snorts... far less noise than any modern city. Albany, along with the surrounding areas, have many events etc going on. There's hiking, biking, nature parks, horse racing, concerts, festivals and events and so much more. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. Weekend Trip to Hucklebuck Railway Campsites

Highly recommend! We weren't able to swim in the river due to a massive storm prior to our arrival but my family of 5 loved it!!!! Our kids ages 3,5,7 absolutely got the camping experience they were looking for. This is a site where you don't have to bring much. My husband and I were so impressed on how camp ready everything was. It made camping there such a breeze! PRIVATE & SERENE and SOOOOO MANY trails to explore. We didn't hear or bump into other campers. This site has great outlined trails and family friendly. Some of the best wildlife and everything was so well taken care of! An outhouse so clean and efficient that it had my kiddos going on their own! Our family created so many core memories here, I'm sure we'll be back and recommend to all of our family and friends! The directions they provide were spot on and the site even included instructions on how to work everything! We were also guided to our site and got an in depth tour of how everything worked in person. Paula and her lovely family were available to answer any questions or concerns we had! We came, needing to be in touch with nature, and left with so much more! Regulated nervous system check! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We can't wait to visit again!

this campsite was extraordinary. so, so beautiful, secluded, great for a group, set on an incredible river that you can tube down with your friends, and conveniently only a ~10 minute drive away from stores. Weekend Trip to Bearkill Brook Campsite

Our family had an amazing stay at Bearkill. The site completely exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a quiet, private campsite to enjoy with our young kids and this spot was perfect. There is tons of open space to spread out tents with complete privacy, along with a super cozy cabin. The other amenities like a grill and a shower with hot water really made camping with kids more enjoyable. The kids really enjoyed the creek and toys Peggy and David provided. Really great site, really great hosts.

After a long motorcycle ride, it was lovely to spend a peaceful night in this wonderful and secluded location. I was only there (1) night, however, I plan on coming back to explore the area further and enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely location.

The Upper Shire was an amazing slice of serenity int he Hudson Valley. We were two parties spread out at the airstream and the cabin, and loved the peace and tranquility of both spots, which were both supremely well appointed and appropriately cozy!

Our two parties of adults with kids had an amazing time at Joann's gorgeous Hudson Valley sanctuary, staying in the Airstream and the Black & Tan cabin. The property is lush and peaceful and within striking distance to so much great outdoor activity. We'll definitely be back!

The tent glamping site was very clean. Unfortunately weather was not on our side and it was storming all afternoon and night on our one and only night that we stayed at the glamping tent. So we couldn’t fully enjoy the site to its fullest but our pup definitely enjoyed playing in the water and roaming /exploring the little creek right in-front of the tent site

Weekend Trip to Little Duck Farm

This is a great campsite! First, it's really fun to see all the animals--sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks. (They don't go in the camping area.) The site is spacious and the trailer is cute. Liza has put many pillows on the bed and made the trailer very welcoming. The outhouse is super clean. There is a fridge, stove and fan in the trailer. Everything is immaculate.

Weekend Trip to Otters and Eagles Cabin

Our mother/daughter; aunt/niece weekend at Otters and Eagles Cabin was a top-tier glamping experience. We liked everything about our stay. As someone who loves to camp and cook, I was thrilled to find that the thoughtful host provided plenty of kitchen items, making it so easy to prepare meals for our group. The cabin itself is nestled right in the beautiful woods with nature all around. We spent our mornings drinking coffee and our evenings sipping wine down by the gorgeous pond. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the toilet facilities were well-maintained. I had only to ask if we needed anything, like an additional propane canister for cooking, and Mark would run it down the hill himself! This level of care and comfort made the whole experience smooth, accessible, and relaxing, which was especially appreciated by my 79-year-old mom. Between relaxing by the pond, nature walks, birdwatching, gathering around the amazing outdoor stone fireplace, and having the extra option for platform tenting, the setup was flawless. There was a slope down from parking, but a cart is provided to help move your gear. I have absolutely no criticisms of this property. We would go back anytime!

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows

This Camp is excellent. Max has thought of everything, all your camping needs are covered. Makes it super easy to arrive with just the essentials and jump right into a good time. The creek is picturesque and serene. The views from around the property are gorgeous. Our dog loved running around in the meadow and creek. Even on a rainy evening it was dreamy.
