You are welcome to walk anywhere on Metta Earth land. Or you may want to walk on the surrounding dirt roads, all with very minimal cars and great mountain views or along the river. We can give further directions and information about the region when you are here. Our stays range from basic tent sites to Yurts and Canvas Tents. We have something for everyone. We have four yurts nestled on a knoll among maples, beeches, balsam, and other trees. They each are positioned for a sense of privacy from the others and have little paths connecting them. They all are well loved and humble, beautiful, light filled circular spaces with a round dome skylight, lattice siding, windows with screens for summer use and in winter extra insulation provided by window quilts. Each yurt has a wood stove for colder weather. The yurts are furnished simply with various configurations of single and double beds, tables, chairs, shelving, and sheepskins or other floor rugs. At night a few of the paths are lit with solar lamps, so it is wise to bring a flashlight/headlamp as well. Beeswax candles provide inside night lighting. Some of the yurts have string, solar lights around the inside of the yurt walls. We have 5 bell tents that are lovely, roundish shaped tents with a peak. Four of them are smaller, one-person tents, and one is larger for a couple or 2 people. We provide amattress and pillow with organic bedding and a sheepskin rug, and a simple storage crate/table. It’s a good idea to bring a sleeping bag for extra warmth, especially in the potentially colder shoulder seasons in May and in September. If you have a tent, insulated ground mat, and sleeping gear, we have many inspiring sites in the surrounding forest glades, meadows, and fields. Those who choose to camp have access to outdoor composting toilets, a hot water outside faucet for bucket bathing, and outdoor shower available in the warmer seasons. Camping requires a certain hardiness and adequate gear. Weather during the growing season (May – October) in the mountains of Vermont is unpredictable. Temperatures range from freezing temperatures at night in the spring and fall to gloriously warm days and even hot days.

The site does get cell reception, but the cabin has no electricity or other facilities, so all waste must be packed out. We provide a bucket commode, but please bring your own trash bags to pack out all waste.

Incredible spot, perfect setting and so peaceful! Tons to see and do in the area and then back to enjoy the campsite. We enjoyed a nice hot beverage on the swing at sunset after a busy day. Perfect!

Alexia has a large field with super views, very quiet. A lovely walk through the woods to the Brook which is wonderful. Walking trails around. Super easy to keep in touch with Alexia for instructions and information. Had a wonderful couple of nights.

This is our second time visiting. Alexia is a wonderful host, responsive to questions and helpful with suggestions on what’s going on that weekend. The maple syrup is amazing! We bought 3 bottles… definitely recommend this camp!

Weekend Trip to La Lu Farm camp site

La Lu Farm is a beautiful property! The Goat Yurt is comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes it very cozy. The yurt is a good base camp for exploring the cute nearby towns and hiking in the Green Mountains. On a cold night, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra firewood (also, bring toilet paper for the outhouse). My spouse and I had lovely stay and would recommend!

Was a charming hip camp with lovely decorations and a cosy feel! Only stayed one night. Was a little difficult to figure out where to pitch tent, but we arrived after dark so I can't blame the host!

Great little secluded spot in Vergennes. Within walking distance to the cute downtown strip. Was a perfect base for trips to Burlington and local orchards. Beautiful area!

Weekend Trip to Singing Wood Farm

Alexia's property was very nice and clean. Surrounded by hills and plenty of trees. We had two picnic tables at our designated area along with a fire pit. Wood was readily available to purchase at the little round the clock store along with products from the farm and some camping items. Would definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Singing Wood Farm

Awesome place to spend a couple of nights for the final weekends of fall! Alexia was great and showing us around the property and getting us settled. Nice fire pit, cute farm store with maple syrup and wood, and nicely spaced out from the other groups. Would definitely recommend.

This was a gorgeous spot! Very peaceful, lots of area to explore (forest trails, streams, covered bridges and various farms (including llama!) closeby, and more), and the host was so kind and welcoming. We hope to stay again!! Definitely recommend for a peaceful camping trip in a beautiful spot.

I really liked the camp site which was next to a stream. The access to hot water for bathing and a flush toilet made the stay very comfortable. Lindsey & Morgan were also very helpful and nice to talk to.

We loved staying in the yurt during leaf peeping season! We were very warm, cozy, and feeling ‘off the grid’ in this secluded sunshine flooded spot with very little, if any, cell service. Our 26 lb pocket pittie had a blast running around all the hills and hopping around in the brush like a bunny. She was very sad when it was time to leave. I think this spot would be excellent for folks with small children as well because there’s plenty of nooks and crannies to explore without going very far. We loved sitting at the outdoor breakfast nook, reading, and napping in the breeze.

2 nights at La Lu Farm camp site

My partner and I booked a camping trip at La Lu's Farm and we loved it. We were there in early October and the foliage around the property was beautiful. We stayed in one of the Yurts and it was super cozy. The goats were super friendly too! Also, I really appreciate how responsive Constancia was to all of our questions!
