Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available as pre-order EXTRAS.

This was a very old dairy farm owned by the Duntley Family. Old farming equipment dispersed throughout the property. An old foundation from a sugaring house. Beautiful old rock walls. Deer and wildlife galore.

A great, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out site. I stayed two nights while exploring the trails and really enjoyed the view over the field with their horses during the day and the stars at night were amazing. The outhouse was convenient and clean as well. I definitely plan on returning someday soon!

My family (7 year old daughter, husband and dog) had the most wonderful time tent camping at the Hops site on Heather and Paul's beautiful farm. It's such a special, expansive place with so many cool spots to hike to within the farm that we didn't feel like we needed to leave the property. We loved the peace and privacy of the Hops site but next time we'd like to try to Oak tree site which has stunning views. My daughter loved drinking directly from the spring behind Heather's house, and visiting the pergola near dusk. The highland cows against the backdrop of rolling hills and the beautiful slate structures look like paintings. I'd definitely recommend taking the tour of the property to orient yourself. Heather is a lovely person and a knowledgeable and engaging host.

We had a fantastic time here. The property is sprawling and beautiful, and the Hops site had great amenities—ample firewood on request, a great firepit and chairs, and a clean outhouse. Heather was an excellent host, ensuring we had everything we might need for our stay. Highly recommended!

Heather provided us with the perfect getaway weekend! Her farm is so beautiful and she is a wonderful hostess! The Hops site was very private and peaceful. The outdoor seating and firepit made it so easy to relax and enjoy the fall evenings. The hiking trails that they have made are great to explore. We also took advantage of the outdoor shower which was such a nice experience. Even the outhouse was comfortable and meticulously maintained, and this is coming from someone who normally tries to avoid them. Last and certainly not least, we are still enjoying some of the home-grown/homemade treats from her farm stand, and cannot wait to return to Slateville. Thank you to Heather and Paul for such a great weekend!

This was a lovely camping spot with lots of space and beautiful fall views. Picnic table, fire pit with chairs, and your own porta-john. Close and easy to get to from the highway, but with no loud traffic. It's quiet at ADK Saddle Hill and highly recommended!

My paradise valley. You have this whole valley to yourself, with a creek running through it, and a cool old stone bridge.
Amazing.
If you're at your camp, at night, across the bridge, and you see this furry thing that wants to cross the bridge. Don't freak out, it's just a beaver. If you keep still, even with a Headlamp pointed at him, he'll slowly cross the bridge. He'll keep an eye on you, and he will go his merry way. Friendly neighborhood beaver. If I didn't live so far away, I'd stay here again soon.

This site was easy to locate. It is essentially a driveway off of the road, but it still felt pretty private. We arrived late and left early, so we only had time for a small fire and quick walk in the morning. A nice stop on our trip up North.

I am still not over the views at this campground and never will be 😭😍 my husband and I went on our anniversary trip this past weekend and waking up to the mountains and seeing sunset every day was beyond a dream. Sarah’s horses were so sweet and friendly too, and they even came right up to the fence when we were sitting there one day. And on another note, SHE HAS THE 👏🏻 NICEST 👏🏻 OUTHOUSE 👏🏻🤣 it has a light and is clean as a whistle 😂😂😂😂 in addition, Sarah answered our questions speedily and recommended some hiking spots in the Adirondack Mountains. We stayed at camp site #2 for reference and saw the views in the pics below 😍anybody would enjoy their time at Saddle Hill:)

This was a surprise, we had no idea how beautiful this place would be! It was private and the site was very large. We stayed as late as we could because we loved it so much. It was great seeing the horses graze and deer trot by. The host was kind and welcoming. Loved it!

Jeff and Milton have a lovely property in a beautiful part of upstate NY. We chose it as it was a short distance from the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) for a show we planned to attend. We enjoyed riding bikes along the country roads and the pups had a great time playing in the lush grass. The 30 amp hookup worked perfecty and the well water was clean and clear. We also had a fun evening by the fire on our last night and highly recommend this spot for a unique private getaway in a gorgeous setting with wonderful and helpful hosts.

This was my second visit to Heather's farm and I look forward to returning again. The property is gorgeous. The sites are very large, private, and far enough apart that you will not see or hear other campers. My dog and I loved being able to walk all the roads and trails that criss-cross the property right from our campsite. On my first visit I was there in October and the fall foliage was just incredible. The farm is close enough to town so that everything you could need is within easy reach, but far enough to feel quiet and remote. I am already looking forward to our next visit!

We absolutely loved staying at the new quarry site!! The farm is HUGE and the property itself is beautiful. The campsite was very well maintained and the new quarry site is only a few steps away from the swimming hole (which was way better than you’re imagining, if that’s even possible). We had a few first-time campers with us and the new quarry site was perfect (surrounded by trees but the site itself is an open clearing).
The farm stand had lots of vegetables from Heather’s garden and other necessities for rent/purchase, and Heather was very nice and super accommodating - she even let us stay later after checkout on our last day!!
This campsite had everything we were looking for, and it was a short drive from many good hiking spots. We definitely recommend and hope to be back in the future!!

We had the most incredible weekend at this Hipcamp. The site was absolutely stunning—private, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The owner should be so proud of the space she’s created—she was beyond accommodating and made us feel right at home. We loved visiting her farm stand for some fresh, local goodies. The best part, though, was the quarry swimming hole—it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spent our nights watching movies under the stars and enjoying food by the fire pit. It was exactly the escape we needed, and we’ll definitely be back!
